THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DR EVER Dr. Alatassi is by far the most disgraceful, arrogant, inconsiderate and unprofessional Dr. I've ever met in my entire life. He doesn't want to listen to any of the questions or concerns that you have, he will insult you because he thinks he is above you. He will interrupt you and act frustrated with your questions. He is by far the worst Dr. I've ever met in my entire life. DO NOT SEE this Dr. If you were referred by a different Dr. I promise you that you will be thankful you never met this guy. PLEASE READ THE OTHER REVIEWS BECAUSE I DIDN'T. Don't make the same mistake I did. He will be reported to the Bureau of Community and Health Systems (BCHS).

This is the slowest dr I've ever had the displeasure of working with, the office took months to sign a prescription and none of my calls we're answered. Would never recommend to someone I know needs care

Very acknowledge and kind doctor and take his time with his patients.explain and make it easy for patients to understand the issues and the solutions .the staff are very nice and helpful .highly recommended to any pulmonary related desease.

I agree with mist of the reviews here, the staff is rude, doesn't answer phone calls, make repeated billing errors, that are difficult to resolve because staff is so rude and hard to get in touch with. Dr Alatassi has a policy of giving a 6 hour window for telehealth appointments, very inconsiderate of patients time

I’ve had the same experience as most other reviewers here. The staff is impossible to deal with. They never answer the phones, even during their business hours (which are very short) and will never return your call either. They are impossible to get in contact with. Horrible staff and constantly has an attitude. I had an at home sleep study about two months ago and have tried getting my results for a month just to be told that my results were inconclusive. Had another at home sleep study 2 weeks ago and am still trying to call to get those results. I called today, sat on hold for over 18 minutes, just to be hung up on. I called back and confronted them about it and was told, "I didn't hang up on you. I automatically hangs up when another call comes through" which was pretty funny considering I had no calls ahead of me when I called right back after being hung up on. My first appointment with the doctor, I waited over an hour just to see the doctor for five minutes and have him tell me I needed a sleep study. Yeah, I could have told him that. Dr. Alatassi obviously doesn't listen to his patients either as I have found multiple incorrect statements in my chart. Please, go to someone else, anyone else, because this place will not help you. Dr. Alatassi is ok; he is pleasant enough. His staff is terrible. My sleep study requires an auth from my insurance. I got the approval mailed from my insurance four days before it was going to expire. His office never called me to tell me it was approved. I called them to see if they could extend it, and the girl flat out lied to me and said my PCP obtained it and did not notify her that it was approved and that they would have to extend the auth. I called my PCP, and when the referral girl looked it up, she could not alter it or submit for an extension because Alatassi's office entered it. When I called Alatassi's office back, the girl that works on auths/referrals acted like she had no idea why who told me to call my PCP and that she would work on it. She also made sure to blame the insurance that they never notified her that it was approved. I work in health care and, specifically in the insurance verification department, so I am aware of how authorizations work and the follow-up process. Aside from their sheer incompetence for obtaining auths and being truthful with the patients, they rarely keep their phones on during regular business hours, so it is practically impossible to get ahold of anyone there. After this sleep study, I will never return to this office 100% based on the staff's inability to run it like a real medical office. And for these reasons, I give him two stars for not recognizing that his office staff needs some training to get them up to speed with the healthcare business world. Can't even comment about this doctor. His staff is not be believed. Whatever could have been screwed up, was. I fear this isn't even an accurate test because I don't believe they were competent enough to have registered the name correctly. It's really hard to be this bad.

Dr Alatassi diagnosed me with narcolepsy, excessive day time sleepiness and cataplexy. Tried 1 medication and it wasn't working it was giving me severe migraines. When I seen him about that he was extremely rude told me he couldn't do anything for me and walked out of the room. There are other medications he could of tried but didn't give me but a second of his time. I had another appt with him and he called me prior to my appt and told me not to come it would be a waste of my time. I was going to see him to have the sleeping pill changed cause the one I was on wasn't working. I wasn't asking for anything out of the ordinary. I have been diagnosed with the previously mentioned disorders and I am not being treated for them. Dr Alatassi is the WORST doctor I have ever dealt with. I agree with most of the reviews here. The doctor has always been professional and helpful. He should get 4.5 stars for effectiveness and zero stars for his hiring skills. His staff is the laziest, rudest, most UNprofessional batch of incompetents I have ever encountered. Zero stars if only that rating were allowed. And its not like they are suffering from burn out, since the office is only open 20 hours per week. Oh, and I called the office at 9:45 on a Monday and got a recording saying they were currently closed but would be open Monday from 9-2. His staff notoriously opens the phone lines late and closes then about half an hour early so as to not be inconvenienced. Time to switch doctors. I agree with most of the reviews here. I see Dr. Alatassi for sleep apnia. He has been excellent. I have seen him for the past 8 years. I would recommend him. His office staff has been very kind and considerate.

If I could give a 0 I would... the WORST, RUDEST, most IGNORANT unhelpful receptionist I have ever had the punishment of talking to. I was a patient of Dr. Alatassi, who I found to be quite pleasant BTW... but they closed their Troy office, well I work in Troy and live further north, I need to find a new sleep Dr. so that I can get my scripts to get equipment (now required by insurers) but my attempt to contact and inquire about my medical records I was bluntly and abruptly told "Those were all taken over by St John!" I politely asked if she might have any contact information or direction to track my records down and again was told "Well you need to contact St John!"... so I am supposed to just call the general number for one of the largest medical providers in the midwest and they will know where to send me for a piss ant sleep center office that closed in Troy Michigan. Dr Alatassi I hope you see these as the rest of the world will and will make some changes in your front office as the woman that I spoke to today, (5_30_2018, 1:45 PM) is losing you more patients than I think you know.
