Dr. Eric B. Sputh

What an absolute mess! Both my wife and I have been seeing Dr. Sputh for several years and have been very satisfied with our care. We both had appointments with him this morning and were both told after getting there that our appointments had been cancelled and rescheduled (without any notice to us). I left but my wife was not told this until she had been sitting in the waiting room for an hour and after she had been charged her copay. The receptionist was rude and dismissive and was not interested in seeing the documentation of our appointment times. She attributed the confusion to the recent affiliation with UAB. I like Dr. Sputh but we will be looking for a different opthamologist.

Yesterday was my first visit. From the time I called and set up the appointment everyone was very friendly and helpful. My visit for the actual exam went very smooth. Dr Sputh and his staff are great. They answered all of my questions some before I asked them. Dr Sputh explained what I could expect with my cataract surgery. I was dreading this until I met with him. He is very kind and made sure I understood all of my options, then allowed me time to make up my mind. Crooked practice and would avoid at all costs!

Thorough and spent time explaining the procedures and the outcomes along with any concerns or risks. In my case, I was previously led to some incorrect conclusions and I appreciated the care and time Dr Sputh invested in me. He connects with his patients.

Excellent doctor and staff!

Very professional and personable.

The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Sputh is just perfect!! Very soft spoken and caring. He called to check on me the night of my surgery, which I thought was very nice. I see so much better now thanks to Dr. Sputh.
