Franklin See-Lai Yau

I always have questions because I want to understand what's going to happen to my body. He would answer my questions but he made me feel like I was bothering him and keeping him from other patients. If there was a gap in the conversation he used the opportunity to leave the room before I got to ask the rest of my questions. What was going to happen to my leg after the procedure was not explained. If I had an issue on the same leg unrelated to veins, the office made it very clear there were not going to address it, or even try. I'm not sure I will go back to him right now.

Years ago before my husband died he was treated horrible by dr yau i have forgotten it huants me that i didnt speek up then wouldnt take my dog to him

Very professional. Listens to my health concern. Very knowledgeable of his field of practice. You could tell he is very much experienced in his specialized field of practice.

Very informative - takes the time to ask if we have any questions. Clear & articulate so easy to understand. All of the staff make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door.

Dr. Yau and his staff at VANGUARD did a great job with the removal of blockage in both my legs. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. Shavon and Sam provided outstanding patient care.. GREAT JOB!!

I could not have found a better office to handle the medical issues I faced. The office staff is absolutely wonderful and helpful. The medical staff are amazing. They are with you every step of the way and make you feel at ease and will answer any questions you may have. Dr. Yau is absolutely wonderful and compassionate as he treats your medical needs. Awesome STAFF.

The procedure went according to plan. The Staff at this office is AWESOME, to include the anesthesialogist. Normally, I get very sick after being put to sleep, whatever he did it was great. No sickness, dizziness. Again, cannot say enough good how awesome this office is.

I just love the service here, it is unbelievable compared to the customer service I experience in everyday life. Dr. Yau rock!! He is so compassionate about his profession. He make me feel like I am the only client he has to see for the day, not rushed very, informative, a great listener, caring and kind. I wish all doctors had his patience. And the staff is amazing, also!

Everyone was very friendly and professional it was a good experience and I feel very positive about the results.

Dr. Yau is the best! Love his bedside manner and he is very easy to talk to. The staff is friendly, efficient, courteous and always have a smile on their face. Everyone is very Professional.

I have severe 95% left Carotid Artery Stenosis and total Right side 100% occlusion. He transferred me to BaylorScott&White Heart hospital in Plano for a scheduled surgery that should have been routine but turned out to be very difficult and installed stents in the the artery. He is a very gifted and caring surgeon that has no qualms about accepting a challenge I trusted my life to him and his staff and if I had to do it all again I would. Five Stars aren't nearly enough.

Great Doctor, great place !!!

Horrible. Was told 14-30 days my insurance would approve or disapprove my two procedures. I waited six weeks and when they got the ok they call on a Monday and want me to come the very next day for first procedure, so I did. I spoke with a representative about payment plan an also to Kristy I believe maybe Amber the confused from desk receptionist. I was told it would be on every Tuesday 11/28 at 2:30 1 st procedure, 12/5 Tuesday 2:30 for follow up, 12/12 Tuesday 2:30 second procedure and 12/19 follow up. I am on my way at 150 pm 12/12 Kristy rudely calls and asks where I am my appointment is at 130, I said no no no and I remember the appointment setter which ever confused staff member it was, specifically told me let's keep it seems day times so we don't forget I have it written down as well. Well I explained this to Kristy, she made the mistake I know it and blamed me so she didn't have to own it and have the repercussions that I did today, 12/12.she said come and she'll see if he will stil treat me, I told her he will cause I have my appointment time for 230. She was rude. I never got a courtesy call reminding me the day before or days before of my appointment time and date like most professional Dr offices do, especially for a procedure, come on do your job Amber. So I show up I took my two weak .25 alprazalom they give you before procedure they say take two thirty min before do I did. They prepped me had me lay on my tummy face down , and I was waiting for that Dr for one hour, by then the weak meds of sedation wore off and they knew this, so they waited til i was fully awake aware and could feel it all. As it was finished, I was thanking Dr Yau and in the middle of my appreciation speech he walks out shuts the door. I am appalled at the odacity these medical professionals were performing, I have a letter with all instructions and dates times and they had the first appointment 11/28 done at 3 pm it was at 230 like all the rest. They are a mess. I called Kristy Monday yet says she's not In call tomorrow, i explained the alprazalom is not strong enough and I want to be sedated not fully aware, I had CVS fax.over a refill and told Amber I needed something stronger. She said call Kristy the next day to work something out, I didn't get a refill a call back and I was again awake aware non sedated. This is the worst experience of my life. Idk how Amber is a receptionist she is horrible and does not do her job, I had many mistakes from her since I started going there. Do not go here research find better pls I'm appalled by everyone's behavior and treatment. I could feel tension and the coldness compared to first warming welcome an tender treatment this complete opposite. I am told take ib profen for pain, only 5 days it won't hurt my warfarin pt one levels says Franklin Yau, which I told him my pcp strongly advised me not to take any ibuprofen nor anything w aspirin he said it wouldn't hurt to go ahead, overriding my pcp request. Ibuprofen anything w aspirin or NSAIDS mess my therapeutic pt/inr thinning of my blood due to DVT,PEand ulcers. It's the most unprofessional uncaring vein procedure plan I have ever imagined or heard of. It's about $$$$$$. One final disbelief moment, I went to first follow up for Doppler of leg to see if procedure done correct, the nurse performing the Doppler was telling me how sick w a cold she has she would cough on me not covering her mouth then attempt to stop her runny nose as she Dopplers me. I mean wow I can't believe sick patients are looked down on and taken advantage of and wait til they get a life threatening disorder karma will treat all of the staff ten fold. I am disappointed and I will treat your payment plan as their nurse receptionist and insurance appointment setter and dr whole staff treated me, like it didn't matter. I felt punished for blamed.for wrong appointment time which I know I had the right one, someone the staff trying to cover they a** and blame me they purposely did me this was over appointment times do not go there research there's plenty better vascular dr surgeons Horrible. Dr Yau and his team took excellent care of my mother. Not only working her in quickly, taking the time to explain her issues and getting her issues fixed. I can not thank Dr Yau and his team enough for everything they have done for my mom. I would highly recommended his office to anyone!

Initially we were happy with Dr. Yau's diagnosis regarding my father's condition and the procedures that needed to be done to improve my dad's quality of life. However, since my father's surgeries we realize the lack of communication on Dr. Yau's part and how we were not kept in the loop about my fathers' condition and if it was in his best interest to even have surgery or put it off to a later time to give my father additional time to recover.
