Need a bone fixed stop here. Highly recommend to friend and family. As COVID raged (5/20) I fell and broke my "hip" , femur close to hip joint. Went to ER where they x rayed and said I would need a surgeon. I was alone due to COVID restrictions and scared. I am not in the best of health. I asked the ER Doc who he would call for his mom, and they got Dr Evangelista for me. We "meet" he says what needs to be done, and off I go to surgery. Abracadabra I wake up, he says all is good, you can walk on it and shower tomorrow....What? Sure it hurt (Boy Howdy) and I went to rehab for two weeks. Then home. If I did not have other conditions I think I could have walked out to home in a couple days! Now that's what I call a miracle. Dr Evangelista is simply amazing. Not quick to cut and knows his stuff! I was referred to him by the best Spine doctor in town for hip issues. Because he was so informed and correct in his assessment, he has unfrozen my shoulder, drained my knee, referred me to radiologist to implant drains, and now will be fixing torn meniscus. His personality is amazing, serious with the right mix of humanity.

I am an Black woman and I wrote a review about this horrible Dr. and the way he treated me. I noticed that the review is not visible. People should know he does not care. My experience ( his treatment of me) yelling at me ..... asking me why am I there ? ..left me in such a state I cried for days. Luckily for me I was able to get my knee replacement with another surgeon.. one that was kind and understanding. I AM GRATEFUL TO GOD TO HAVE THAT I DID NOT LET THIS SCARY MAN. CUT MY KNEE. I am not sure why my original post was deleted . This horrible man. Very rude to me. Rudely Asked me why I was there after the nurse set an appointment for me . I fell and hurt my arthritic knee , pain would not stop. I never did get out of pain . Thankfully He was rude to me for the last time .. Dr. Evangelista is a first-rate orthopedic surgeon. It took two shots (during the same session) within a few hours for my pain level to go down by at least 80%. His office staff is professional. Dr. Evangelista is not a robot of a physician. He is a caring and and educated individual. I recommend Dr. Evangelista without any hesitation. Monday we were contacted with a different price then we discussed at the consult. I was not surprised because he said it was an estimate. We went to SMIL and got the MRI that was ordered. We explained that the pain was not in the shoulder but in the elbow, the tech explained they have to follow what was ordered. So we got it done and paid SMIL directly. We called Nicole back to make sure we could get the exact money transferred to the account so we could pay in advance as they requested, we received the total and it was the same as the last call. Nicole called a day later and wanted to make sure we understood we needed to pay by Friday and again gave us the same total for the third time, we were called agin on Thursday at 430pm and was told the wrong MRI was ordered and we would not be responsible for that cost as it was their error. Friday we get MRI completed and we call in to pay and now the price has increased an additional 150.00, which is about the cost of an MRI

This is as an exceptional wonderful experience especially considering the challenging rotator cuff surgery that I had. Dr Evanglista and his staff are the best especially Pam!

Be careful . There are two (2) Dr Evangelista in the same office. I made an appointment to see Dr. Gregory Evangelista and a young man introduced himself as Dr. Evangelista. He turned out to be Dr. Perry Evangelista as I discovered later. STAY AWAY from this doctor. He told me that I NEED knee replacement surgery and he described the bone cutting procedure.... Lucky for me I had a second opinion and following a simple arthroscopy with another surgeon just two weeks later I am up and walking and is wonderful... Dr. Evangelista is in a class of his own! Saved me from a hip surgery I didn’t need and fixed my shoulder when there WAS a legitimate issue. Smart, friendly, and to the point. Exactly what you need in an Orthopedic.

Dr.Evangelista and staff are great! I had a reverse shoulder surgery done and everything went great, I have no pain and great range of motion 3 months after my surgery. Dr Evangelista and his staff are excellent. They gave me an honest assessment of my surgery, have a great reputation among physical therapists, and provided excellent after-care. The entire staff is receptive, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Evangelista listens and explains the surgical procedure and follow ups very well. My surgery for major rotator cuff injury was a complete success,

Dr Evangelist is a great surgeon. I have had both a knee replacement and a total reverse shoulder replacement and both with excellent results. I would definitely have Dr. E do my next surgery, if the need arises.

Very disappointed in my visit. Name was spelled wrong even though they had x-rays. Never saw the x-rays and when I stated I would like to avoid surgery I received a complete “blow-off. Go to pain managemen. I can’t help.Total waste of time and a half hour late. No surgery? Can’t help. Could of got this on the phone. Total BS!

I have a history of shoulder issues. I’ve seen Olympic team surgeons. But my current insurance and place of residence does not include those doctors anymore. After being in pain for 3 months I came to see Dr. Evangelista. He told me to continue on my regimen of once a week massage. It wasn’t it my shoulder, it was my neck. Which was interesting since he didn’t feel or take an X-ray of my neck. And offered me no solution to my 8-10 volume pain. I just wanted a cortisone shot. It’s worked before. I didn’t want pain medication or muscle relaxers. At the end of the visit I didn’t even know he wasn’t coming back. He didn’t ask if I had questions. He didn’t tell me to come back in a few weeks. He also did “strength tests” on my wrist. The actual ones that I’ve had done before didn’t do. Had a non orthopedic doctor but doctor do the actual tests and not so great result. After speaking with my father, who is a medical malpractice attorney (defense side) he said well he just didn’t believe you. Which is sad because had he listened, these are issues I’ve been dealing with for over 20 years. I was treated by the best of the best. The best of the best listened to me. They also told me that as great as I would feel for a time in about ten years it’s all happen again because I have ehlers-Danilo’s syndrome. He didn’t ask and when I tried to explain. I’ve seen enough doctors to know a good one. Dr. Evangelista is first class and so is his PA and office staff. I highly recommend him.

I looked for the best and I feel I am getting the best. Kind staff and I know I am getting the care I need. Like any doctors office I know I will be waiting for a few minuets, but when its my turn he gives me 110% and never leaves me questioning. Very thorough and a great doctor.

I had an EXCELLENT experience with Dr. Evangelista and his staff. He is a TOP NOTCH SURGEON and that is why you would go to him. His skill and expertise is to repair the ortho problem (not to be your best friend and sit around chat). I had a MASSIVE rotator cuff repair that was almost not repairable and then I would have needed a shoulder replacement. Dr. Evangelista did a meticulous arthroscopic repair of my shoulder. I healed amazingly. I can tell you that at 5 months post op and 5 months of DILIGENT Physical Therapy, that I back to FULL FUNCTION. That is a MIRACLE. My GP quickly recommended Dr. Evangelista. Dr. Evangelista and staff are wonderful. I had a serious shoulder break and ended up with a shoulder replacement. My post surgical results have been great. I know I have more work to do but am confident that I will have a great outcome. Thank you Dr. Evangelista.

Could careless about their patients and have to much pride to just make a simply apology fir lack of professionalism. Don’t waste your time because they will do it for you if you give them a chance.

I was told 10 years ago to have a knee replacement but I put it off until I could barely walk. I researched surgeons and chose Dr Evangelista. I am so happy I had the surgery. I can finally walk without pain. It’s been 5 months and its great. Dr Evangelista is a great surgeon. I absolutely recommend him.

Dr. Evangelista has now done three of my surgery s . I don't know how he is rated only 4 stars I have had the best experience I could ask for . From reception to surgery and aftercare I have watched how he and his staff work . A few months ago I was there on a Thursday afternoon and lobby was full and they were super busy . They helped a lot of people in a very short period of time. And they still got me in and helped me . I have never had a better doctor that im aware of. thank you herb walter

Simply the best

I have had a great recovery from reverse shoulder surgery. Just do as Dr. Evangelista tells you and for me it’s been a 90% range of motion. Dr. Is friendly and answers all questions. I would highly recommend him for shoulder surgery. It’s been five years with no problems.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Evangelista. He is a first rate Ortho surgeon who is meticulous with his work. I had a massive rotator cuff repair that he was able to do entirely arthroscopiclly. I healed with amazing results. I am forever grateful. Dr. E's staff are also very helpful and professional. Dr. Evangelista is a knowledgeable and caring physician. He has seen me through the stages on my knee, and I had a successful arthroscopic surgery on my knee today. I would highly recommend him. Very nice office staff too!

I don't think I've ever had such a poor experience or felt as if a doctor didn't care at all as much as I did with G. Evangelista. I was looking forward to my appt as I had heard positive things and really needed help with my shoulder issues, however, I was so disappointed with the care here. They didn't even go over my X-Ray or seem interested in discussing my symptoms - he gave me the go-around about how people experience shoulder pain and can't solve it (not exactly encouraging) and gave me a referral to another office before I could even adequately express my concerns about the pain I'm having. I Needed shoulder Surgery. Doc was very professional and took great care of me. He also noticed my Bicep tendon was stretched and took care of that.

Dr E and his staff are top notch. My grown daughter and I both see him for knee injuries. His office is very clean. His staff is very caring and professional. If anyone has listed that their experience was poor, it was the very rare exception rather than the rule. He is very conservative and caring. I would highly recommend him

Doctor Evangelista has down 2 different procedures, collar bone plate and rotator cuff repair, in the last 6 months and I couldn't be happier. The doctor is attentive, engaged, down to earth and responsive. His staff is great as well, they follow up quickly, attend to your needs all with a smile on their faces. Great office too. Dr. Evangelista performed surgery on my 17 year old daughter. He chose to do a much less invasive procedure than 3 others suggested which cut recovery time in 1/2. Eight mos later she has recovered well and finally has a stable knee. Dr. E was amazing throughout, taking time to answer questions and walking my daughter thru entire procedure using the MRI to show her what he was doing which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend him and his staff is great as well.

He saved my son life on 11/25/2014 my son fell asleep at the wheel on his way to work he was gravely injured he shattered his hand and broke his femur he saved his leg great Dr. I hope he now can save my arm I need a shoulder reversal after the first surgery failed .I love his bedside humor and great staff. I was informed by the Insurance company months into my son physical therapy sessions which were over 30 visits , that they would be dropping him and he still needed extensive physical therapy and lots of follow up appointments and images of his femur so the Doctor could track the healing process. Dr. Evangelista found out the situation and offered free care to my son Deven until he fully recovered. I can't thank him enough and I look forward to telling him that in person this year in 2017. I highly recommend this outstanding Surgeon and wonderful staff. The nurses remember everything you've ever told them, they are personable, never rushed and always make you feel comfortable. Dr. Evangelista has done two meniscus repairs on me. My right knee in 2013 and left knee in 2016. Both surgeries were successful and he made me feel comfortable with full disclosure before and after the surgeries.I find him to be extremely competent and with the highest degree of integrity. The Evangelista Team delivers results with professionalism like Amanda (PA) and Jessica providing pre-op / post-op support. This is the best there is and I recommend him with confidence

In my opinion Dr. Evangalista and his assistant Amanda, are the greatest and most confident surgeons in the Phoenix area. He did an excellent job on my hip replacement and I was able to be home from my initial rehab in just 10 days. I never had any complications and the incision never had any pain or complications. I would highly recommend anyone needing one or more of his services to seek an appointment ASAP. Thank you so much Dr. Evangelista and staff.

Dr Evangelista is very knowledable and takes the time with you to explain your options when it comes to your prognosis. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Evangelista repaired my torn Achilles tendon and he did a fantastic job! He and his staff did a great job of explaining the procedure, properly set my expectation for recovery and were there to help and answer questions through the whole process. 1 year after surgery I have re-gained 99% of function and am running, jumping, playing sports and living my life uninterrupted. 5 stars.
