If there was 0 stars that is what I would give this clown. My husband needed shoulder surgery. My husband and I had never needed surgery in the past and didn't know all the steps. So my husband gets the surgery, and I have the common sense to ask where do we get his painkillers and any scripts that he needs. The nurse tells me that the Dr. should have written those scripts prior to surgery. Then, Markarian does not answer his phone for the remainder of the day...grant it I'm sure it was likely he was in surgery, but there was also no answering services at his office. Next I take my husband to his follow up a couple days later, and Markarian is yelling at his employees, completely behind schedule, and the office was an ABSOLUTE mess. Then my husband goes to rehab at his naperville office for a couple weeks only to learn after about 3 sessions that office had closed and no one had told him. Needless to say run don't walk away from this Bozo who should not be in any type of business.

So he was recommended by my best friend. I had injured my shoulder and I had to wait a week to get in. I took off 1/2 day from work drove to the south side of Chicago and he (the doctor) never showed up. Paid for parking tried calling all the numbers I could find tried emailing nothing. What a joke. So thank you for wasting my time my money my pain for nothing. I’m going to Wheaton ortho on Thursday and they promised me they’re always in their office! So he was recommended by my best friend. Ok this guy is the absolute bottom of the barrel! I found out the very hard way, and I hope no one else needs to go through hell first, don't do it!!

Schedule appointment on Thursday for Tuesday. Recieved a call on Monday afternoon asking me to come in 30 minutes early. Called Tuesday morning and said I could make it. Ended up coming in 5 minutes late. A small inconvenience considering I moved my schedule around. Literally walked pasted Markarian in the parking lot as I walked in. I had a good result - major shoulder repair two years ago. Thinking about having him do the re-repair the other shoulder which was fixed a decade ago by another surgeon. I'm not sure what type of people left the bad reviews, but if you're sports-minded and need a shoulder repair I think he's as good anyone else. Ok; he has trouble keeping staff, limited hours and a poor bedside manner - do you want your hand held or your injury fixed?

Dr. Markarian is horrible. I had 2 major surgeries. He botched both surgeries and had to have all anchors removed which he didnt do rite. Did more damage to injury. Went to another surgeon and had both surgeries redone. I wouldnt let this Dr. work on my dog let alone humans. I agree with others, he should have his license removed. He's also a huge liar in the fact that I had a mri done and reviewed by him. Said everything was ok, the same mri to another Dr and he said mri showed damage. Beware

I needed a splint So the ladies in the front ordered me one and a week later I call because I was told it would not take longer than a week. Who ever answered the phone was very rude with providing information on weather the splint was even shipped, when I asked if she could call she said no and gave me the number. I called again and apparently they were out of stock and I would get in 3 days, 3 weeks have passed by and no splint. I called today to inquire and they only still don't have a clue

BIG red flag this Dr. is a terrible surgeon. I had a botched knee resurfacing that leaded to a total knee replacement months later. He can not keep staff. He has no privileges at hospitals. His web site is a big lie. Dr. Markarian should have his license removed. Do not go to this man. His big clam to fame is work mans comp. What he dose to people is a crime!

This office is incompetent . Wait was a 2 hour long . We decided to go with injections. He gives me script to fill at the drug store and bring to my first appt. Which i would need two for each knee five times.So thecost $900. for ea injection total $9000.. I can't afford this. Call my ins. to see why it's not covered. They said the dr has to call it in.I call dr was told that's the way he handels it. I cancel my 5 appts 1/29/16 talk to 5 people still didn't.Now billing can't find my ins.infor
