Its a little something about aging that makes one appear at these appointments. I'm delighted to recommend Dr. Messenger Jr. I've become his favorite petri dish.

He's totally arrogant and seemed more interested in impressing his young assistant than anything else. Total loser.
I always have a great experience while at Messenger Dermatology! The staff is great and Dr. Messenger is experienced, very insightful and most kind in his approach to his patients. 5 stars!
I was a patient for over 11 years. I had multiple skin cancers removed. Last visit was to have stitches on face removed. A nurse not Dr. Greg’s, took out stitches, had a problem with one, and in the process not only made my face bleed, but she hit me in the eye, causing a black eye. Yes there are photos.

He's conceited. Period. Took a huge chunk out of my skin on the back of my arm and now there's an obvious DENT! This was a small cyst that needed to be removed and nothing more. Now I have to live with this permanent indentation. Stay away from him.
11 a.m. appt. In room at 1035. Procedure done and back in car by 1050...fast, efficient, painless.
This office labels all conditions as "history". I did not feel they cared about patients.
Wish I could zero star this... Saw Dr Wu today. He was an hour late, then I waited almost 20 minutes for him to come in. He was in my room 10 minutes at best... He proceeded to tell me I don't have psoriasis, only dermititis. When I asked what led him to that decision, would he please explain more due to the fact my whole life I was told I have psoriasis and a out 10 years ago psoriatic arthritis. He got super defensive and standoffish. He literally said "if you don't like my diagnosis go find a different doctor." I repeated my question and stated I wasn't trying to contradict what he was saying or anything, just please explain how he came to that conclusion when my whole life I have had so many people tell me otherwise. Dr Wu. Proceeded to cut me off and repeat "if you don't like my diagnosis go find a new doctor." Well, thank you sir. I will indeed be finding myself a new doctor as your opinion told me. I will never visit this office again and regularly recommend against going there. Tl:Dr Dr Wu. I so appreciate the doctor, his assistant and nurse, for the kindness they showed and the excellent work they performed on me,very professional but oh so KIND ! Thank you,Judy Driver
they have a posted sign that say's a 40 minute wait is common in this office. I had a staff MD who i think is Chinese, he is good and efficient in his procedures. Somewhat of a language barrier especially with a mask. But overall a very good MD. They need 2 Drs. because of a long wait.
Dr Messenger is the Best of the Best. Truly patient friendly and he will take what ever time is needed with you to insure that what he has done or going to do you will fully understand everything !!! i would send my mother to him. Great Doctor and person
Sorry! Not impressed. We saw dr messenger senior for a skin condition on my husband’s face. Dr m removed the spot in question, though seemed to be in a rush… so much so that he told me I could ask my questions as he performed the procedure on my husband, all the while his back turned to me and him speaking to his assistant. He gave skeleton post op instructions at the end and seemed reluctant to hand over samples when I asked if he had any, providing no direction on the sample’s use. True, he didn’t have to provide samples to begin with, but could have been more professional about it if he didn’t want to hand them over. The icing was when I asked for the notes at the end of our visit that recapped what went on, partly because I couldn’t remember the name of the diagnosis that was given. And, I was very disappointed to find that dr m charted that he provided us with instructions on all the things he should have went over when in reality he never took the time to do. One example in his notes discussed limiting sun exposure to the site and wearing sunscreen. That advice would have been especially helpful in my husband’s case especially with my husband’s dark skin. In my opinion, we were essentially a number to dr m, not a paying customer seeking medical care for a diagnosis that included a minor surgical procedure. Needless to say, I cancelled our follow up and found another dermatologist who was willing to provide the care dr m wouldn’t. Never again will we go back. Hope my honest opinion helps to improve everyone’s experience going forward. Sorry! Not impressed. We saw dr messenger senior for a skin condition on my husband’s face. I’ve been a patient for many years. Had an appointment with Dr. Greg Messenger. Due to medical conditions at this time I have not received the COVID vaccine. They are asking if people are vaccinated. When entering the room the first thing he said to me was because I’m not vaccinated he wasn’t going to look at certain areas that needed to be looked at. When he finally decided to look at those areas he was very nervous acting. He told me to hold my breath because he didn’t want to sick( I do not have covid). He was only in the room for a minute before he gave me what I he told me I needed to use to treat it and didn’t ask if I had any questions, he just walked out. The support staff is excellent! Very friendly! He has no business being in that office if he isn’t going to look at patients thoroughly and is going to be scared to look due to covid. He is discriminating against patients that are not vaccinated. Happy to see anyone else in the office but I will not be seeing that doctor again. I’ve been a patient for many years. I would give 0 stars. I had an appointment to remove the last wart I have on my finger and most of them went away on its own after using Compound W. My physician thought it would be better to send me to a specialist and sent me to Dr.Messenger. After lot of wait Dr.Messenger rushed in to the room and didn't take much time to listen and he suddenly started burn treatment without explaining about the procedure properly. It was painful and he said it will be fine in few days. I observed a rash and pain after that burn treatment and my physician have seen it confirmed that the dermatologist burned the extra flush and as a result I have this permanent rash and pain on my finger. My physician said he will not recommend Dr. Messenger to anyone of his patients anymore. Very bad experience. I would give 0 stars. Yes, the office staff is under duress, and waiting times become longer as the day wears on, but the physicians are the best. Kudos to Dr Greg especially.
Dr Messsinger is a very kind person. Takes time with you, explains what the issue is and he answers any questions. I felt very good, after my appointment.
Dr. Greg Messenger has been my dermatologist for nearly 35 years. He has always been extremely helpful, and friendly throughout our entire Dr. patient relationship. Couldn't ask for a better or more knowledgeable Dr. Thanks for all your help Dr. Greg!
I know as soon as a Doctor walks in the room if I will be coming back. Doctor Greg Jr. is that Doctor. He made me feel so comfortable and relieved all my anxiety about the procedure on my face. Thank you for making it so easy to come back.
I've never had a complaint about him before but when he removed a small patch from my back he seemed rough and rushed. The stitches hurt like hell and when I asked for some pain medication because I have a low tolerance for pain, he dismissed that and said Tylenol would be enough. Well, it definitely wasn't. I was in pain for several days and even calling his office didn't help. The promised return call from a nurse did not happen. Even getting the stitches out a week or so later was unpleasant. I asked for a topical anaesthetic before the nurse began and she said they didn't have any. Seriously? I've been to other doctors who do. Apparently the comfort of patients is not high priority here.
I've always thought well of Messenger, but when he recently removed something painful from my back the procedure felt rough, hurried, and painful. It required five stitches (and four under the skin) and when I asked for a prescription for the pain he dismissed that as unnecessary. He said all I'd need was Tylenol and disappeared. Tylenol? Well, as I guessed, the area hurt like hell despite Tylenol and when I left a message for him and was told his nurse would call back, I didn't get a call. That's two levels of failure.
lady in front office was nice and pleasant. the nurse or PA or whoever she was was curt and seemed impatient to get out of my room. When he came in he came in with an assistant or PA with him. I have no idea who it was since he did not bother to introduce her or ask my permission to allow her in the room. He told me to sit on table under the light and then proceeded to name all the things he saw on my face as she wrote them down. No bedside manner at all. The entire thing felt rushed. This was my first visit and I expected it to be a consultation. No, he told he lay down and proceeded to shoot my face full of some kind of numbing agent and then began the proceedure to remove some harmless growths I had on my cheek. He did not take the time to discuss this proceedure with me or explain it but just jumped in. When he was finished they both left the room without explaining if there was any follow up. I will not be returning.

STAY AWAY! I was going to this office for YEARS. I have psoriasis. I addressed a concern of spots on my left arm that just wouldn't go away? I was taking Taltz injections and while my skin was clearing up these spots on my arm and leg just would not go away; and they felt different. Every time I went in I was told to not worry about it just continue with the ointment that was prescribed (I did) and STILL no change. I asked why these spots weren't going away and was told it was probably stress and blood circulation??? One day I received a call saying that I missed an appointment (never received a reminder call) that they were dropping me as a patient. I cried I really did, because now where am I going to get my Taltz injections. Contacted my PHP and she referred me to another Dermatologist (in Jackson) an hour away. THANK GOD because she actually did a biopsy on those spots and turned out to be CANCER!!! I told her my story on how they never even suggested doing a biopsy, etc. and she actually said "SHAME ON THEM!" If they would have done a biopsy sooner my cancer would not have been so DEEP and need to be dug out and stitched up and left with scars on my arm and leg. I am still recovering in hopes my arm starts to look better before April when I am getting married. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Even if you have to drive an hour to someone who actually cares about their patients. The staff that checks you are very rude as well. Some of the nurses are as well. I would go there not happy because I new what I was walking in to. NOW the dermatologist I see in Jackson is WONDERFUL including the staff. I feel like they actually care. 1st appointment waited 2 full hours before being called back. Dr. Greg Messenger rushed my appointment. I had to stop him multiple times from walking out as I still has important chronic issues to discuss. He gave a prescription and a follow appt. 2nd appointment was another 1.5 hour wait. This time my issue was in full flare up. He was surprised to see his treatment hadn't worked and didn't have any further recommendations or information for me. Just sat on hold trying to make an appt for 15min. Any place that doesn’t appreciate my time isn’t worth my time.
Appt was at 3:45 it's now 4:20 haven't seen the doctor yet but the front staff has been very rude to alot of the people in here and to each other.
I arrived for an 11:00 appointment 15 minutes early like they asked me to, only to find out they are running 45 min to an Hr. behind. I had read the reviews but decided to try them anyways. Bad choice, They said they don't call when they are behind, so I left.
The wait time is ridiculous! Our appointment was at 5pm. When we arrived (10min early) there was a sign saying the dr was 30 min behind schedule. However, it’s now 6:00 and we haven’t been called back yet!
I have used this office for years, saw Dr ENglish and then had an insurance change so switched to Dr Gallager. They did not inform me that my insurance wasn't accepted so I am now stuck with the full bill and the billing department wouldn't do anything about it. Doctor Messenger is fine, but the wait times at this office are ridiculously long. My 7:45am appointment, I didn't get called back until 8:40am. Afternoon appointments are at least as bad. Be prepared to wait.
We absolutely love Dr.Ghallager and everything she does to help us. Shes so sweet and caring. Very very unprofessional receptionist at the front desk. A couple of the ladys are so rude and have cut me off before while talking and it makes me cringe.

Though wait times can be long, it's worth it. Dr. Messenger is a terrific doctor. Great listener and it's obvious he cares about his patients. Also if a problem is found, if possible he tries to take care of it right then. Which may contribute to the wait time.
I saw Dr. Messenger. He was VERY NICE and professional. He actually took the time with me and throughly looked at my skin. He came up with a treatment plan and even a back up plan if the first doesn’t work. He was very honest about what works and what doesn’t. I saw Dr. Jeffrey Messenger and my experience with him was WAYYY better than my first experience with a dermatologist at a different practice. Dr. Jeffrey was nice, professional, understanding of my skin picking disorder and came across as very knowledgeable and confident in his treatment plan. He didn't shame me for picking but instead asked what things I had tried and explained his plan and then encouraged me that it will take time. Even though the appt was fairly quick I didn't feel like it was rushed, but just that he was efficient. Definitely recommend!! My wife and I just walked out of Dr. Greg Messenger's office. Totally disgusted with a 90 minute wait and rude unresponsive nursing staff. No excuse for this!
By far the slowest doctors office I've ever been in. Everything is at a snails pace. Expect to see the doctor about 45-60 min after your scheduled appt.
New patient....it was nearing my birthday so I decided to treat myself by having Botox injections to my forehead and around my eye's. Filler to plump deepening furrow's on each side of face around my nose and mouth area's. My appointment was with an NP named Leah. Once I was checked in and waiting for my named to be called, the front desk staff kept repeatedly telling me that their NP was the best, her work was the best etc. They were reassuring so much that I started to feel uncomfortable. Once I put into the exam room I related to Leah that I had had Botox injections 12 months before and I was very happy with my results. I also told her that I want to try a filler for the furrow's that were starting around my nose and face. Before she got started she told me that her treatment approach was to start off conservative and that I would need to come back after 3-4 week's later for additional information. Nearly a month later I saw absolutely no results with either the Botox injections or the fillers. In addition, 10 months later, I still have a deep bruise to the injection site in the fat pad beneath my left eye. I decided to seek my next Botox and filler injections at another doctor's office and the results were like night and day! I told them of my experience and they were shocked. They told me that no matter how conservative, if done properly you will always have a response. As far as the bruising I still have, the np more than likely nicked a small blood vessel. Lesson learned. Make sure you do your research and the medical professional has the proper training and background. I was referred to this clinic by my primary care and chose to read reviews prior to my first appointment. I read that the office/receptionist staff were rude, calls were placed on hold, and new patients were charged a fee of ~$130. Thank goodness I read these reviews. I called to confirm the new-patient fee and was immediately placed on hold for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the phone began to ring until I was disconnected. I called back and a lady asked if she can put me on hold (again!). I finally spoke with someone who told me new patients must pay between $130-$280. I then stated that I would like to cancel my appointment and very rudely the lady responds "Last name and first name" and tells me I'm all set. Her tone made it clear she couldn't care less. I am so disappointed in Messenger Dermatology. I went in for a routine cancer screening. I was a first-time patient but paid no copay because it was preventative. Dr. English did a great job and it was a really brief appointment, as it should be. Nothing out of the ordinary. I then got a bill for $138 as a "new patient fee." While it was a shock, I called the office to ask exactly what it was for. Did it cover additional paperwork? Testing? Nothing about my appointment was outside the scope of a normal appointment. After multiple phone calls, and actually going back and forth with them by letter several times, I got no answers. Nothing. No one would call and explain what the charge was for except "20 additional minutes" of doctor time that I definitely did not get and a notice that my bill was going to be sent to collections. I wasn't even trying to get out of paying. I am more than happy to pay for things that I actually receive. This is nothing more than a money grab for a preventative appointment that should have cost nothing. Not that it matters to them as the staff clearly don't care, but I most certainly will not be back. I am so disappointed in Messenger Dermatology. I went in for a routine cancer screening. Professional front office staff. Came with my new patient paperwork filled out prior to visit, was in the office for less than half an hour. Doctor Fatteh was above and beyond, and provided the best quality of care I have ever received from any medical professional.
My husband and I have been a patient here for years and have never had a bad experience. Dr. Messenger is warm and personable. Even when I declined his suggested follow-up treatment for a small carcinoma, he was OK with that.

This is a horrible place as far as customer service. He further advised me to have my "husband or father" check around the house to identify the plant. I *really, really* like my doctor here (Dr. Wu), and I like the quality of the actual care I receive. So my rating doesn't relate to my doctor who, again, is wonderful. It relates to the fact that this office overall is utterly disrespectful of patients' time. They should not expect that patients with chronic skin conditions can afford to spend hours of their time receiving routine treatments each week, in addition to extensive home care. The office is mismanaged, and the front desk staff ill equipped to address the patients' frustration that results (and perhaps is it unfair to expect this of them). I've been going here for two years, and I see someone get upset on roughly a weekly basis. If you're going to light therapy here, expect to wait minimum 30 minutes, but frequently 45 minutes to an hour each time (and they expect you to come 2 or 3 times per week). I've also had some issues with convoluted billing, and the person in charge of billing spoke to me like I am a child rather than respectfully explaining my legitimate question on the bill. I had to ask in person to get my question answered, as my phone calls to billing were never returned. The issues with the office management are really disappointing, because the actual quality of treatment is probably the best I have ever received from a dermatology office (and I have been to a lot of dermatologists). Dr. Zu has been awesome to me. The receptionist will place you every time on hold for minutes. It gets old when you call to make an appointment and every time they say please hold and your waiting 4+ Minutes.
I took my two sons, (15 and 17) in for an overall check. My one son had a wart on his thumb that was almost gone. He recommended extracting it and jammed a big needle in his thumb, and cut out a large spot on his thumb, barely getting the wart but taking far too much of the additional area. My other son had a cyst in his lip and he injected it with a solution that was supposed to break it up. It turns out to have gotten harder and bigger so we went to an oral surgeon who removed it and said you don't inject a cyst in the mouth, while you can in other places. Not sure he knew what he was doing. I think the doctor was Dr. Sufyan and while he was really funny and personable and seemed to really know his stuff, his procedures left us thinking it should have been done differently. My daughter has an appt with Dr. Gallagher today and I had a great appt with her a few months ago, but neither of us got reminder calls and just calling in to confirm it, was on hold 7.5 minutes. So support all the others that gave 1 star as the staff is not that organized or positive acting. Sorry I took my two sons, (15 and 17) in for an overall check. I always have a quick and reliable experience here. The doctors are great and the receptionists are polite.
Love this office. I go in with a problem and it's taken care of that day. None of the, well we can do this so make another appointment and we will do it then. Quick, done and gone!
I will give Dr. Greg Messsenger a 5-star rating. His office staff, not so much. Hard to get through when calling. Always put on hold. They are short, curt, and rude when talking to them. To bad in order to love the doctor, you have to endure the staff.
I love this place. They cured my acne problems very efficiently after years of speaking with other dermatologists about the same issues. It is sometimes a long wait in the office, but that is to be expected with specialty offices. Saif Fatteh M.D. is my favorite doctor there. He is always extra nice and even though I'm sure he's a busy man he still takes the time to sit and chat. He also always seems to know exactly the right meds to give me in order for the most efficient treatment; no run arounds, no "let's try this and see if it works", just results. It's a great place. This review is for the PA Leah only. She is AMAZING. I see her for my treatment of acne. I would HIGHLY recommend her, especially over a doctor. She never makes me wait long, she is always cheerful, and she is a little bit sassy. As a 25 year old with acne, I never feel uncomfortable talking to her about issues and how to solve them. She is quick thinking and smart, and my skin has dramatically improved. If you are going here for acne, see Leah and don't bother with doctors!! This review is for the PA Leah only. She is AMAZING. Wonderful doctor. I have been seeing him for over 10 years. Would recommend him to anyone and several of my family members are his patients as well.
You will mostly see student doctors here, so you can get a fast appt. One foreign doctor messed up my accutane prescription because he didn't understand pharmacy policy. The pharmacy said it was illegal to do it the way the was suggested so I was without accutane for two weeks in a 6-month treatment cycle. I wasn't offered an apology by anyone at the office, in fact I was talked down to by a *receptionist* as if the Doctor wouldn't have said that. The idea didn't come from me. Be cautious here.

Terrible service and they never make your call a priority. Very very unprofessional
This office has been turned into a corporation, that cares about money and not patient care. Find another doctor. After 40 years, and personal care, wait times are up to 2 hours, and phone times are over 20 minutes to make an appt. I got fed up, called another doctor, instead of a recording and a 15 minute wait. a real person answered the phone. I was gave an appt. this week, not in 4 weeks. So glad I checked around. I Love Dr. Messenger. He's very intuitive and just knows his stuff. The staff however, is for lack of an appropriate word, unprofessional. They are rude. They are not friendly to the patients and have no regard for people's time. Every time I call, I'm on the phone waiting for 4+ minutes and the wait in the office is extremely unwarranted. I've been to specialists before and have NEVER had such a long wait time. Again, Dr. Messenger is great and the other Dr's or PA's, but the office staff may need some help! I Love Dr. Messenger. Advanced scheduling is necessary, sometimes two to three weeks and waiting room times around fifteen minutes, but i think that's a pretty normal for dermatology. Once in, the speed and professionalism tells you these folks are on top of their game. Always satisfied.
