Dr. Gross was attentive, made sure I understood what was going on. Answered all my questions and really showed me the attention I needed. Very personable!

During approx. 3 hrs in the ER I was only directly attended to by Dr Gross for ~5 minutes. He seemed very rushed/hurried during that time. I repeated the nature/cause/initial treatment of my injury multiple times yet he failed to listen & get key elements correct. I emphasized metal or plastic could have punctured me. I was x-rayed to check for metal. After Dr Gross said x-rays were clear, staff came in to confirm metal had caused the injury, & I repeated that was unknown, yet he never performed a thorough visual exam to check for plastic debris. I reported pain as 9 of 10, which Dr Gross never addressed. He roughly jammed swabs into my wound & irrigated with H2O2. I reacted sharply at severe pain, but he offered no lidocaine/topical numbing treatment. I complained during pain he caused by pressing/squeezing around my injury, but was ignored entirely. When asked about post-visit treatment, Dr Gross laughed & said it would get badly infected, then promptly left the room.
