Dr. Deetjen is very knowledgeable in his field and seems to genuinely care about his patients.

Went in today he answered all my question and set my appointment on Friday to have my surgery

Called to make an appointment, set it, drove 30 minutes out here to see the Dr. Office staff informs me that they never set the appointment because they had tried to reach out to me for an insurance question and never got a response. They had two numbers backwards in my phone number, which they had Caller ID for and was verbally confirmed over the phone when I set the appointment. Told me they couldn't see me for another 5 days. Don't feel like prolonging the pain another 5 days for their mistake, I'll take my business elsewhere. Wow ! Just WOW ! I saw Dr. Deetjen today for a knee that has hurt a LOT for a long time ! He gave a prompt but thoughtful diagnosis. Treated it and was very personal. I walked up and down the stairs in my house without pain for the first time in well over a year. I'm so grateful for this doctor and his care.

Very caring. Takes time to explain condition and options. Prompt appointments. Very little waiting time

He's a fantastic physician and a very compassionate one at that.

Had TKA 2014, five years later I have had no problems and am able to hike, bicycle, garden on hands and knees and play golf without pain or subsequent soreness. He used the Biomet Vanguard implant. The post-surgery swelling was pretty bad and I lost sleep for several weeks, but that is to be expected. Will be getting the other knee replaced this year, and plan to use Dr. Deetjen again.
