I gave her 4 years of my life. She is everything people say but I always turned a blind eye and continued forward. I finally reached my breaking point. Her son should not help up front he is rude and obnoxious. She shouldn't share her business money problems with patients - I paid her a lot of money a year!! Her phone quit working and she didn't return calls trying to get my appointment scheduled. She yells at her staff in front of patients. She takes personal calls while you are in with her. Those of you reviewing her after just a few visits - just wait. There is a reason she had to downsize. I moved on and found a wonderful Doctor that focuses on me! Dr. Hanaa Wadie Fam is the most amazing doctor! She saved my life! She genuinely cared for me, my situation, and my health in general. I'm so sad that she closed her office. ???? I will never find another doctor to replace her. She stood by me step by step until I was able to stand on my own two feet. I wish her all the best in her new adventure working somewhere else! ???? I agree Dr Fam is amazing. I love her no BS ways. I could get anyone to do what i want if they dont have a strong personality. Its her strong personality that i need to get better. I love when im stressed and she says why. Then immediately gives a better way of thinking and handle it. I wish i could put her in my purse and take her with me. Im happy that the gentleman who saved his marriage was able find some help for the loss of your precious daughter. I lost my child at 24. Yesterday was 9 long years. Dr. Fam listened to my symptoms and concerns and after a few tries of different prescriptions, I felt better than I ever have. I had visited other doctors and she was the first one to really help me.

I think she is amazing. Not sure what everyone's agenda is but she takes her time with me. She is very concerned and attentive . She get's right to the point. I think maybe some people take her the wrong way. I am not there for sympathy. She changed my life.

I understand why some say she is rude, unprofessional. She can give that first impression or be that way when VERY SICK PEOPLE encounter hrr no BS style or treat her rudely or expect their chronic lying to fool her. Most of us , freshly checked into the St. Joseph hospital mental lock down ward 5 years ago, were at first terrified of her. I was near literal death from alcoholism. Dr Fam SAVED MY LIFE and subsequently SAVED MY MARRIAGE and then SAVED MY WIFE AND I from the overwhelming , nearly unbearable pain of losing our beautiful 18 year old daughter. Dr Fam is a loving , very caring , and extremely competent psychiatrist. I'very seen her be tough with people but they deserved and needed that. God worked miracles thru her and saved my life. Literally, she saved my life. If you really want to get well, drop your BS and your ego and do everyything you can to be her patient. And be HONEST with her , it took a while but when I was truly honest with her then she was able to do even better things for me and my family. IGNORE THE ONE AND TWO STARs. Don't believe the negative reviews about this doctor. She doesn't sugar coat things, which will turn a weaker mind away, but the purpose of a good psychiatrist is to challenge a patient. She gets to the point and doesn't mince words. Don't fear her style but respect and appreciate it. If you want hand holding, find a good psychologist.

DR FAM HAS BEEN MY DR FOR THE PAST SEVEN YEARS. SHE IS CARING AND DEVOTED TO HER PATIENTS. SHE HAS MY BEST INTEREST IN MIND. DR FAM IS LOYAL AND TAKES SWIFT ACTION FOR MY NEEDS, SHE EVEN TOOK TIME TO CALL ME WHEN SHE WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY TO CHECK MY NEEDS WHEN I WAS IN AN EPISODE.

Worse doctor and staff ever!

I wish i could give less than 1 star. Her rude family runs the desk when they feel like it. I brought my little boy to her and listened to her plan a wedding over the ohone on my dime. A disgrace. Check her credentials She should get a refund from her University. Shame on her rude unprofessional self.

My appointment was at 1:45 and I was there 15 minutes early. I filled out paper work, then realized it was 1:50 and Dr. Fam was reading her mail at the receptionist desk and gossiping about clients with the receptionist. She went back to her office shortly after and the receptionist said Dr. Fam was ready for me and to take a seat inside her office. So I did. I wasn't acknowledged by Dr.Fam until she looked up from her paperwork (that had nothing to do with me) for a few minutes. She then started asking me questions, then her cell phone rang and she answered it and talked for a bit. RUDE. She un-sincerely apologized and said it was a personal issue. She acted like it was no big deal that she had just answered her phone and talked for a while in front of me. She upped the dosage of something I was already on, which is fine. Then she prescribed me something else and didn't explain it. I felt too uncomfortable to ask questions about it. I understand that psychiatrists are not therapists, but I did not feel like Dr.Fam cared about my well being at all. I will not be back and I will make sure people know about my experience. Absolutely disgusted!!! I read most reviews people left for Dr. Fam and I decided not to listen to them and continued making an appointment anyways. (BIG MISTAKE) She's a very dangerous doctor, every time I arrive to her appointment she never remembers who I am, when I explain my problems to her she says she's not a therapist but then goes on to say things like "that's not even a big deal" when I tell her my personal problems... When her phone rings during a session, she will answer it because her phone calls are a higher priority than her patients. Please do yourself a favor and don't do what I did by taking the risk of seeing her, she's incredibility dangerous, there are other psychiatrists out there. Absolutely disgusted!!! Dr. Fam is an excellent psychiatrist. She listens well and is very well versed in medications for treating bipolar disorder.

She is the WORSE, RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL DOCTOR! I cannot believe she has a license!!!

I had a horrible experience with her. She is abrasive, rude, and unprofessional even though she claims to be the best in the county and the state. She displays poor social skills and obviously has no cultural sensitivity or compassion for her patient needs. She is there to write prescriptions but not help you manage them - until you came back to the next appointment. She doesn't take challenges very well and she refused to acknowledge my complaint that her receptionist was rude and unprofessional when answering my phone calls. Unethical and POOR POOR service! Won't refill pills she put you on! I cannot believe she has a license.

She won't answer phone calls and won't fill prescriptions on the phone even if its an emergency. Both Dr. Fam and her staff are very rude.

Incompetent pill pusher that has no interest in me as a patient or my health. Last meeting was 9 minutes and went as follows: “Sit down”. For 3 minutes Fam read over lawsuit or some other court summons thing (not related to me). “How are you feeling?” 1 minute into my answer Fam starts reading lawsuit again. “We can work on that” she says. I don’t know what she is talking about – I just described a pretty good week. Fam starts to look over my chart. “What prescriptions do you need?” Fam starts to read the lawsuit again. “None” I said. “you are taking me off Lamicatl and I finished last night. I am not on anything now”. Fam looks over my chart again. “Okay, let me write you a prescription”. For what I don’t know. Fam writes a script but never gave it me. Fam starts reading the lawsuit again. After a couple of minutes, without looking up, Fam says “That’s all”. I answer “I agree” and walk out for last time.
