Very professional, and pleasant as always.

Dr. HARRY SHAIA is a great doctor. He is caring, he listens and nothing is too small a concern. I have had two surgeries and 100% recovery. One was a rotator cuff the other was a meniscus repair. Recently he checked out a lump near my shoulder blade when my primary care and neurologist gave me inaccurate diagnosis Dr. Shaia took the time and checked it out by measuring it and having me return 6 months later to check again. Does he care yes yes yes.

Very tentative, courteous, answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. Pain had subsided the next day.

Dr Anthony Shaia is one of the nicest and caring physicians that I have ever been treated by. I initially met him after he had performed emergency surgery after I had broken my left tibia. I had to go to rehab and he attended me there for over two months. I have recently seen him in his office at the Henrico Doctor’s Parham complex due to pain in my right knee. He and everyone there are the utmost professionals. I highly recommend him and the staff there.

He is very nice and cares for his patients. He explains any procedure you will be having. He calls you the night before any surgery to see if you have any questions and he also calls to check on you once you leave the hospital after your procedure. I would recommend him to anyone. I don't want anyone else but him for my Ortho problems. He has a very good bedside manner, a great sense of humor and see you through every step of the surgery you are having and does follow ups until you are healed 100%. He has a great staff working for him and I especially like Penny Blow his nurse.

This is such a good Doctor and I would recommend him to all of my family and friends. Really cares about his patients and willing to work with you trying to find what your problems are.

Dr. Shaia is great. He listen to me and let me know the truth even if it is not exactly what I want to hear. He takes his time and explains everthing. I would recommend Dr. Shaia to my friends and family.

I went in for cortisone shots for my knees, that were on fire from laying flooring in my home. I got the shot and was good to go! He is as always the consummate professional and even checked out the pics of my flooring that I was so proud of!! ☺

Very pleasant staff. Quick registration. Short waiting period. Dr. Shaia was extremely nice, professional, and informative. It was a great medical experience.

Dr.Shaia is phenomenal !! He along with his team replaced my complete right hip. I left my left hip done about 3 years prior by a different surgeon and Dr. Shaia runs circles around him

From my initial consultation to my current physical therapy each step was on time, clearly communicated and professional. Not one person on his team didn’t give me all I could have expected. Impressive care to say the least for my right hip replacement surgery.

Every visit I have at Ortho VA on Parham Road is a pleasure. Fast check in process, hardly any wait time to be seen by Dr Shaia. He has a pleasant and thorough approach whatever your issues are. Ivalue his opinion very much.

Dr. Shaia could not have been nicer. Treated my broken hip that was operated on in the OBX. He always explained how things were going and asked if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dr. Shaia quickly diagnosed my problem and suggested a treatment. We discussed other options if this wasn’t working. So far, it is working great. My finger doesn’t hurt and the clicking has subsided. Listens and takes his time while allowing me to have a pleasant conversation with him. Does not pressure you to make decision about surgery. He informs you and lets me make the choice when I am ready. I have had three surgeries, two complete tear rotator cuffs snd total knee replacement. I am happy with the successful results.

I was very pleased with the visit. Dr. Shaia’s assistant was very personable and helpful. I was treated well and will be more than happy to continue my care with Dr. Shaka.

I came in with an ankle badly fractured in three places. Dr. Harry j. Shaia, MD was my doctor. I literally thought it would be months before I could walk again, but here I am walking again and it hasn't even been two months since I broke it. He performed surgery on both sides of my right ankle. Left side got two screws, and the right side a plate and a bunch of screws. The scars are not real big and I haven't had any pain hardly and I only took narcotics during the two day hospital stay. I used aspirin and Tylenol and a little ibuprofen for the first week and then didn't need any pain meds after that, besides the aspirin to prevent blood clots. I can't believe how fast I healed and was able to walk with out crutches. I've heard some horror stories an seem some have bad experiences with ankle surgery, BUT DR. SHAIA took extremely good care of me and did an incredible job. 5 stars isn't good enough to describe how pleased I am with this Dr and what he has done for. Being that I am a very active and athletic I was able to get right back to my life faster than I've ever heard 9f anyone being able to do, with having a perfectly healed ankle and no damage or long term problems. Dr. Harry Shaia is a wonderful doctor. I have had two surgeries by him and my recovery from both is excellent. I had Rotator cuff surgery and have recovered with full use of my arm total ROM back. I also had meniscus repair to my left knee and again total recovery. He has helped me with my other knee and for the second time has injected steroid right in the office into the area. First injection lasted a year. I also had trochanter problem in hip and thigh which he diagnosed and understood I did not want PT so sent me the exercises and I am fully recovered. Not bad for a 70 year old. So yes Harry Shaia is great. He has a brother there too so make sure you get Harry because he is the one I have been seeing.

Came in with very bad pain with my knee. He prescribe something that could take up to 2 weeks for pain to go away. I needed something now not something that could take up to 2 weeks.

The experience at Ortho Virginia was wonderful! Intake was smooth...the staff was extremely polite and professional and the Doctor was top notch!

Dr. Harry Shaia is the best ortho doc ever! He really cares about his patients and goes to great lengths to make sure that all their needs are taken care of.

Dr. Shaia is fabulous. I have seen him off and on for a number of years for various issues. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Harry Shaia is a great doctor in every respect and doesn’t rush you at appointments and really cares about you , great personality.

Dr. Shaia is a great doctor who takes time to talk to his patients. He explains, answers questions and gives you all of your options for what ever is going on. He lets you decide what you want to do and doesn't push anything on you. I highly recommend Dr. Harry Shaia.

Dr. Harry Shaia is a very skilled, thorough doctor. Along with his skills he is very personable, taking time to explain procedures and answer questions. Instead of having an assistant make the calls, he calls to answer questions personally. I feel like I received the best care possible.

Dr. Shaia is the ONLY orthopedic surgeon I would ever go to. He’s personable, knowledgeable and thorough. He did my rotator cuff surgery and both hip replacements.

Dr. Harry Shaia is absolutely the best! He has done both of my hip replacement surgeries and they could not have gone better. He is very easy to talk to and his nurses are wonderful, the whole group is great.

Such a wonderful, caring doctor/surgeon! Takes the time to explain things and answer your questions. I recently had surgery and Dr. Shaia has been fantastic. Plus, I am 5 weeks post op and my scar is barely visible. I’m incredibly impressed. Can’t say enough good things about him and his staff.
