Dr. Idalia Talavera-Aviles

Ongoing experience with Talavera's staff so horrific that I am getting new doc. After bad mammogram necessitated MRI, I was unable to schedule MRI timely bc Talavera's staff failed to submit radiology RX and then failed to comply with insurance consult request. When radiologist called with MRI results, showing new mass requiring urgent ultrasound guided biopsy, Talavera couldn't be bothered to contact me - to explain results or submit biopsy RX. Every time I called to ask for Talavera to contact me and/or submit RX, I was met with cavalier staff who either lied about their receipt of radiology results/RX requests; or told me Talavera was too "busy" to get back to me. Internist's and Radiologist's offices also horrified by conduct. Final straw: 4th call to office, in tears bc worried I have cancer, nurse hangs up on me bc she doesn't like my tone when I get upset hearing Talavera gone for weekend can take up 2 weeks to get back to me. You will not be treated like you matter here.

It was amazing!! Dr. Talavera make you feel so comfortable, she kept it real and she is the most professional doctor I’ve had. I wish I would know her before. She inspired me to take a better care of myself.

I can’t even begin to express how happy I am that I chose Dr Idalia Talavera as my OBGYN! She is one of the best medical professionals I have ever been treated by if not the best both in professionalism and compassion. She helped me deliver my first baby girl last November and all throughout my pregnancy she kept me educated on the process, took time to answer all of my questions, address all of my concerns and also would help me calm down when I was anxious (and as a first time expecting mother-to-be that was very often!) If not for the pandemic, I would love to give her a big hug! Everyone in the office was not only always nice and professional, but I also felt like I was surrounded by people who truly care! How often can we say that about a medical team these days? Nurse Kathy was always so patient, nice and, as busy is nurses are, found time to address my concerns on the phone. Other nurses and the front desk staff are always very friendly, professional and accommodating as well

Yesterday was my first appointment with Dr Idalia Talavera I was a little nervous because was my first visit with her, but as son she walked in made me feel like she already know me and that took away all my fear. She talk to me very professional she listening my concerns and explains all the things that I need to know, we were talking like she knew me a long time ago, I am very thankful that my friend highly recomended. I am very happy with Dr Idalia she is the BEST GREAT DOCTOR. The customer services staff and Kathy her assistant are very professional and very friendly. Again I say I highly recomended Dr Idalia Talabera.

Doctor Talavera was very kind, she took the time to listening to my medical history, asked questions, take all in consideration, then she gave me a very detailed explanation of the cause of my condition, and come out with a plan of action. Very pleased with her care. The office personal are also very attentive and courteous.

Dr Talavera is very charismatic and makes you feel like part of the family. I love my Dr.

Dr. Talavera is thorough in each visit. She communicates with her patient, spending the right amount of time to explain and coach the patient through medical informations and needs. She is a high quality physician.

Dr. Talavera is very kind and thorough. She made sure I knew about other tests I should get done (like a mammogram and colonoscopy). Her staff is very nice as well. Highly recommend her practice.

Dr. Talavera is AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING!...I love this doctor. I really shouldn’t be happy to visit her practice since it would mean that I have a medical issue but I’m always extremely happy to see her. She genuinely cares about her patients; the way she takes the time to listen before she address each concern & executes her medical services so ably & diligently, the fact that she understands that each patient is different & deals with me accordingly. Going to the gynecologist makes me anxious but as soon as she enters the room all that dissipates; she has a vibrant personality, the biggest smiles & most comforting words. I am grateful to have a doctor that consistently exudes a pleasant disposition & a natural maturity in demonstrating the breadth of her expertise & knowledge. Everyone is extremely pleasant & friendly; the nurse is awesome, the MA who does my blood work is extremely nice & comforting & the billing department has superb customer service. Great practice all-round.

Wanted to find a new OBGYN, and Found her, Dr. Talavera is wonderful, and so is the entire office. From the minute I walked in the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Talavera takes her time and listens to you. I am so Happy I found such a caring doctor for life...

Dr. Idalia is a wonderful and caring obgyn. She listened to my concerns and helped me understand whenever I had a question. I felt right at home. Everyone in staff was also very helpful. The professionalism and level of care provided by everyone is exceptional. I am thankful to have been taken care of in such a way.

SHE WILL FAT SHAME YOU IF SHE DOES NOT LIKE YOUR WEIGHT!!! I visited this office after being referred by my wife who had been there for a pap smear. There are countless OB's in Broward County so it's unfortunate that I ended up at this place. Up on arrival for my appointment the office staff was amazing. Everyone was so nice and I felt like I was in the right place. That soon ended after meeting Dr. Talavera. She came into the room after a few minutes of me waiting and immediately started talking about my weight. No disrespect to Dr. Talavera but she is nowhere close to what you would call fit. I sat there and listened for some time while she attacked my vegan lifestyle and made assumptions about the foods that I eat. The final straw was when she told me that I am not a "real vegan" because I consume grains, oats, and legumes because according to her "real vegans don't eat carbs". I asked her to double check the definition of vegan because if for the last 6 years of being veg

I then asked her to stop insulting me and realized that I did not need to defend myself with someone who has such outrageous things to say. She continued telling me that her "partner" is vegan so she knows so much about it. I have no doubt that she's a very knowledgeable woman but in this instance she was wrong and refused to admit it. I left the office and told my wife about the experience and she couldn't believe it but we realized that she had a good experience because she is not overweight. My wife is very fit so Dr. Talavera did not feel the need to attack her as she did with me. I would not recommend going to this doctor if you care about your self image and self esteem. Worst experience at a doctor's office in my life. Awful, never again.

my visit went very well. All of my questions and exam was answered and done all in a matter of 30 minutes. Being that I had an appointment at 9:30am I was in and out. I'm still waiting for my results but this is most likely going to be my new obgyn.

I have been looking for a new OBGYN for a very long time and finally found Dr. Talavera! The office/waiting room was nicely decorated, and CLEAN! The office staff was so nice and welcoming. They never had an attitude and were very attentive. Dr. Talavera was such a nice and caring doctor! She spent time with me and didn't rush my appointment. She also has such a great personality! I am so excited I found Dr. Talavera and look forward to having her as my doctor for years to come.

Great doctor and I will recommend Dr. Talavera-Aviles to my family and friends. She's excellent and very easy to speak to.

She is excellent and kind, listen to all of the questions you may have. I drove 20 minutes to go see her.

The experience I liked best is everything. Every person that I met in the practice made me feel valued, I am important and that my needs and comfort surpasses all. Thank you for being a genuine practice of people service.

Dr. Talavera is amazing she takes her time with you and helps you in every way possible. This is the 1st time that I have ever felt comfortable with an ob. I recommend her to all my friends. Her staff are very friendly and welcoming also.

I'm a maternity patient at Modern Times OBGYN and Dr. Talavera is my treating OB. I really like her as she's extremely nice, positive, energized and explains everything in detail. Also, the representative who handles insurance billing goes into detail with everything so your not stuck guessing about out of pocket expenses and payment options. The only thing I don't like about this office is the ultrasound equipment is super super old. If your wanting a 3D or 4D ultrasounds you'll need a diff OB

Doctor Talavera is an AMAZING doctor. I have had her as my ob/gyn for the past 7 years and she is the BEST. She really takes the time to listen to her patients and answer any concerns you have. She's extremely knowledgeable and walks you through everything making you feel cared for. The only downfall is the front office staff, these woman aren't friendly, nice, and lack empathy. They put you on hold for forever and will keep you waiting. They really need to change their attitude!!!

My opinion is not based off the Dr. Never got a chance 2 meet the Dr who delivered 2 of my sisters children. With persistance I have been reaching their ansering machine & TERRIBLE front desk service ALL WEEK!!!! So frustrating & a HUGE turn off. When these (children) answer the phone Im answering questions that they should have recorded & saved in their data base already 4XS. If it weren't for my sisters good referral I would have decided earlier to go with another office. No empathy.

Dr. T is by far the best OB-GYN. She is extremely knowledgeable and educates you on everything; always asking and answering questions. She is kind, compassionate, respectful, patient and loving. She has lead me through 2 pregnancies and deliveries, I couldn't imagine having babies without her! She feels like family. Not only is she an amazing doctor but she is an overall great person.

Dr. Talavera is kind, pleasant, caring and compassionate. She always teaches me something about healthy lifestyle habits. Before I met Dr. Talavera, OB-GYN visits were sources of anxiety but now I look forward to having my annual check-up because of Dr. Talavera's personality, experience, bedside manners and how comfortable she makes me feel. I walked away from my most recent visit saying Wow, Dr. Talavera has really answered her life's purpose - to be a doctor & is a GREAT doctor.

She is amazing. Takes her time with you and actually care's about you and your health.
