Dr. Igor A. Jercinovich

Dr Jercinovich took great care of me. I had a hip replacement surgery and it went well. He answered all my questions and concerns and I would definitely recommend him.

I've been in increasing pain from RA and a severely damaged knee... Bone on bone. I finally decided to get information about knee replacement but Jercinovich not only didn't give me information he said only one thing - lose weight. He was dismissive and condescending. I'm actively looking for a new doctor.

I broke my wrist 6/16/20. My cast was placed on 6/18/20. This cast was very lose and was replaced 6/25/20 by the same assistant in the exact same way. I could slip out of the cast. I couldn’t stand the pain anymore and had it removed at only 5 weeks I was in a much pain that I felt nauseous and was in tears. Dr said I had no reason for pain. I had to buy my wrist splint to transition to not having a cast. I’m now seeing my pcp for my wrist which hasn’t improved. This dr was not my first choice and I knew nothing about him had I known, I would have either waited or driven back to San Diego to see a dr with a better reputation. My dad has been suffering from osteoarthritis for a few years now. We waited months to finally be referred to a specialist. We were quickly disappointed. There are Drs. who really sympathize and care. Others who really don’t show that they do. I told Dr. that with the amount of pain my dad was in he wouldn’t be able to keep working. His response was “Well he will just have to find a job he can do”. At our appointments I almost had to get the words out of the Dr. he hardly spoke to us as he went in to check the knee or whatever he was doing. Any question we asked seemed like an inconvenience. Getting knee injections set up took us two months. I would call them to ask for an update and they would give me the number to the pharmacy. The pharmacy told me twice that the Drs office had not sent the prescription over. This went back and forth for two months. Also when I called to ask the receptionist a question and mentioned that I wouldn’t be able to go in this time to help translate she said they would have to move the appointment! As if they always have so much to say to my dad anyway. My dad had been in pain all week and was really needing these injections.. To want to cancel an appointment for this reason was absurd. To any poor souls who gets Igor Jercinovich. (I won’t even classify as a doctor) It’s crazy how a doctor can tell you your X-rays look fine, without looking at them, literally. I sat there and stared at them seeing if he was even going to hold them to light.... nope. Giving me a go back date to work when he had no idea what my job entailed and what I fully do..Which is fully physical and especially with my hands. His math is a little poor for a doctor considering the changes to initial, and seemingly universal, healing time of 6-8 weeks for “integrated ligament” sprain on right hand- which he diagnosed. But I carefully, and obviously pointed that one out and managed to get 2 weeks time to heal. And all of this is him just guessing. No MRI option, no ultrasound. He wanted me out of that door. He’s one of the grossest, incompetent “doctors” I have ever met with. Seriously, change doctors if he’s yours. This rabbit hole only goes deeper. I was sent to him by my work....

Dr Jercinovich saw me one time post knee surgery instead of my doctor, Dr. Erwteman, who is his partner at Fallbrook Temecula Valley. My doctor was out of the clinic and it was urgent because my PT suspected an infection and I was in excruciating pain. At the appointment, I asked if my knee was infected and he said I needed to ask my doctor that question because he didn't know my condition so I told him what it was and to look at the medical records if needed. He ordered an x-ray and took 2 minutes to palpate my knee and diagnose that it wasn't infected. He didn't give me anything for the pain, didn't order the correct exams and tests for infections. The appointment lasted 5 min. He did not want to treat me. Negligent doctor. Run! I had surgery on both of my knees and tore nearly every ligament on my right knee, as well as a recent shoulder surgery on my left shoulder and have had no problems.

Dr Jercinovich has been pleasant every time. Sometimes not so clear on recommendations unless prompted, but he does make sure he knows your injury well, taking whatever scans necessary. He makes sure you are comfortable in casts and supports. He explains what specifically is broken and the ramifications of it, preparing you for slow progress. He takes things at your pace and accommodates special equipment requests. His support staff is awesome. His office runs on time and efficiently. Not much waiting around but you also don’t feel rushed. Only good experiences. The only thing I would recommend, is that he offer dr notes for work (if needed), so you don’t forget and leave without one. Dr Jercinovich has been pleasant every time. Just had surgery on my elbow on Friday. He did a really good job. Love all the staff there.

Dr. Jercinovich was careless we he replaced my hip. I am permanently damaged as I have foot drop (numb foot) and my operative leg is now 1/2 inch shorter than the other. He doesn't even have the decency to apologize. I deeply regret being referred to him. I am in worse condition than before he operated. Even more disheartening was to see how local orthopedic surgeons stick together and lie to cover errors. I hope to never need any type of surgery again. But if I do I will certainly read the reviews before choosing a doctor.

Excellent surgeon! Professional and to the point. My son had ACL reconstruction and we were all extremely pleased. Dr. Jercinovich is very talented, and extremely experienced. Never once doubted his expertise.

Very poor bedside manner. I came in for answers about a laberal tear, and left crying because the doctor basically tossed me out with an nsaid I couldn't take due to a heart condition and said "good luck finding someone who can help you". I wouldn't waste my time or money.

Broke my wrist in early October. Wrapped it immediately, went to Emergency at Rancho Springs (fantastic). Was referred to Dr. Jercinovich by insurance, said all was aligned and casted. Went back about 2 weeks later for another cast due to loose cast. Recasted and said he'd see me the day before Thanksgiving to remove. When removed my wrist was 26% off kilter. It looks odd, hard to use, (my right by the way)tingles, goes to sleep and the pain is as bad as the first week I broke it. I called and he pretty much blew me off saying give it time. I saw him last week and again pretty much blew me off. Asked about my physical therapy and that is another story. Referred me to one my insurance didn't take, left 2 messages for person who did not call me back and then at the visit the girl said all was good. And showed me the approval & referral. Called this morning and Rancho has no record of a referral. Called Doc and she is not in this morning but will call me back. Yah right. Also, at my visit I asked about surgery to correct it. Kept saying it was what it was. I insisted to get a referral to a surgeon. Have not gotten the referral yet! I am not an attorney kind of person but I am getting REAL close! I just had knee surgery for a severely damaged meniscus a few weeks ago and after 6 years of pain it’s totally gone! I was wearing heels after 6 weeks after not being able to wear them this whole time. I’d say he did a pretty good job! I’m going on a couple weeks to have him fix a botched shoulder surgery. Go to San Diego, Hoag in Irvine or Eisenhower in Rancho Mirage instead. . .you'll thank yourself. It has nothing to do with how well the provider listens or explains, but everything to do with outcomes, which aren't a choice here.

Don't go here unless you are looking for misdiagnosis and malpractice. Staff is the worst of the worst you will get better service at the DMV. Go somewhere else!

My experience was a horrible one. I had a trimalleor fracture of the right ankle. After my 1St surgery I was experiencing horrible pain and swelling and was told by Dr. Jercinovich it was all normal 4 months later I could not walk and he said I tweaked it I ended up going to the ER and was admitted come to find out I had a severe infection of my hardware and that my WBC was 19000 I had to have emergency surgery to remove all hardware.
