Dr. James Mcfwen Fitzpatrick

I have been seeing Dr. Fitzpatrick for many years for COPD. Everyone in the office, nurses, and doctor have been excellent in their care. I've always been treated with caring consideration and respect. If I have a flare-up, I'm treated immediately with needed mediation phoned into my pharmacy; or appointment. They even took the extra steps to help me get a POC rather than the cumbersome CO2 tanks so I could more easily manage oxygen outside the home. Can't say enough about this doctor. and staff. I have been seeing Dr. Fitzpatrick for many years for COPD. Everyone in the office, nurses, and doctor have been excellent in their care. I've always been treated with caring consideration and respect. If I have a flare-up, I'm treated immediately with needed mediation phoned into my pharmacy; or appointment. I was diagnosed but was told to make an appointment if I had any future problems. We had agreed that I didn't need CT scans of my lungs every year (which is what Dr. Lompasso told me after he said he wanted to send me to Roswell for lung cancer when I didn't even have lung cancer!). Dr. Fitzpatrick agreed that was not necessary. I didn't have any problems and I was hesitant to have any CT scans done because of radiation so I hadn't contacted the office in 4 years. I did everything Dr. Fitzpatrick asked me to do (x-ray, etc...) and I asked that all reports to be sent to Dr. Fitzpatrick. So as far as I was concerned, I didn't need to see Dr. Fitzpatrick until I had problems. When COVID hit, I called his office to get back in touch with them incase I caught COVID and needed their assistance. The secretary told me I was no longer a patient because I hadn't been there in 4 years! So I was basically cut off as a patient because I did what I was told by Dr. Fitzpatrick! Why didn't they contact me for a CT scan or anything else they thought I might have needed or to let me know I was due for an appointment? I get notices from all of my other doctors, dentists, etc. Not a good practice. Proves no interest in his patients. I was diagnosed but was told to make an appointment if I had any future problems. If I could give less then 1 star I would do so. I have been calling this office for 4 days with breathing issues trying to get an appointment as a new patient. I left one message on a machine for the receptionist and then a message with another day with someone that told me that I would get a call back. Did not get a call back at all, Still trying to call the office and you can not get anyone to answer the phone. I heard amazing things about both doctors and its sad that I had to go to someone else because they can not even answer their phone. If I could give less then 1 star I would do so. Dr. Fitzpatrick went out of his way to listen to every detail of my mother’s symptoms, experience, family history, and analyzed the data he had before he decided on treatment. He was thorough and detailed.

Dr. Fitzpatrick helped me survive a massive pulmonary embolism in 2008. I can't recommend him highly enough.

We arrived on time and they had us waiting over an hour in the waiting room and even had people who had arrived after us go before us. Waste of my time
