Dr. Jane T Nguyen

PLEASE stay away from this dermatologist office. Unfortunately i had to deal with KERI CHURCH who right off the bat was extremely rude with me. She maybe checked my skin for 2 seconds and just started throwing/prescribing me different medication names , without even explaining what they were. I had to ask her what each, side effects etc. She made it feel as if she just wanted me out and get on to the next patient. When i called her out on it she got more rude with me and said “well i don’t know how to respond to that”. If i am going to pay 200$ for a consultation, i do not expect it to literally be less then 5 minutes. The wait time was longer then the actual appointment. Please read other reviews to see that i am not the only one who experienced this. If maybe you had a bad day, i get it, but don’t take it out on your patients. TRAIN OR GET BETTER STAFF. Absolutely disgusting service.

As a first time patient, found her attitude to be extremely rude and I was rushed through the appointment, which was worthless, because there was no touted skin exam as mentioned and repeated on her web page and material sent to me prior to the appt. As a first time patient was expecting more than I got. Was rushed through appt and never directly spoken to by Dr. N. Got more information from the back of a jar of Vaseline than from visit. No touted skin exam, but they were happy to take my co-pay

Rude and unprofessional from the minute she came into the exam rm. Never spoke directly to me during the appointment and rushed me out quickly. Seemed annoyed that I was there but happy to take my co-pay.

I thought the receptionist was rude, the way she interact with patients over the phone was unacceptable

This is the follow-up update from my previous posted review. I visited Dr. Nguyen for skin tag removal. While the treatment experience was absolutely 5 stars service, the outcome is somewhat disappointed. Multiple areas on my face was over-treated - noticeable "trenches " were formed with darker permanent skin scars forming on my face. I honestly regret my decision for the 2nd treatment. Now really don't know what to do. ---------------------------------- Initial review: I visited Dr. Jane Nguyen on 1/6 to remove many skin tags on my face. I can't ask for a better dermatology service than what I have received from Dr. Nguyen and her staff. My experience began with friendly interactions with the reception desks and nurses. When I called for an appointment I asked if they accept my Insurance they said yes. Made me wait 3-4 weeks only to tell me at my appointment date that they do not accept my Insurance… thanks…

My opinion, rude staff and overall experience. The communication with the patients and pharmacy has caused me a major headache as there was a lot of miscommunication between them about my prescriptions which felt like I was forgotten until the last day I had insurance and let them know and then they magically made some calls and I could pay for my medicine the same day. The front desk assistant who answered one of my calls was beyond unprofessional which caused me to write this review and Brittany to reach out to me from the Medical Group. She was very nice and assisted me, but my mind was made up to not do business here. (edited as I found out the truth). I do feel like I was brushed aside here in-person and on the phone. Had an emergency....called this morning and she saw me this afternoon. She diagnosed me with a bad case of poison ivy and I was out of there quickly. Dr. WEN is the best...

Dr.Nguyen and her staff were awesome. I wish all doctors offices were run as well as this one is. Very friendly, very informative and made me feel very comfortable.The biopsy was quick and painless. I hope I don’t have to go back, but if I do, I am completely comfortable with it.

She did bad job. She did not look at how thin my skin is, and then prescribed me cream. My skin got worse, darker than after 3 days use. Although I took care my skin carefully with hat and sunscreen. I came back to see her to ask her recommend, she danced around issue, I kept asking her why it get darker, she avoided taking responsibility. It’s almost 4 months, my skin still had not cleared up. Dr. Nguyen is amazing. I really cannot say enough nice things about her. I have suffered with cystic acne since I was 13 years old. I have seen many dermatologists in many different states with no improvement. After seeing Dr. Nguyen four years ago, I have had virtually no acne. She is direct and to the point. Dr. Jane Nguyen is very unfriendly. She gave a very quick exam and talked to her assistant more than to the patient.

Dr Nguyen and her entire office are wonderful! I highly recommend Dr Nguyen for any dermatology concerns.

Best medical practice I’ve visited in Loudoun. Dr Nguyen was sincere, attentive and fantastic. The entire office was impeccably trained, welcoming and warm. The office is clean and gorgeous- every detail has been thought of in advance. Every time I have come I’ve never had a wait. Highly recommended!

Dr. Nguyen is unable to see the larger picture and think outside the box for even a minute. She is stubborn and even if a certain treatment path is not working she will not explore other avenues. Wasted my time and money seeing her for my daughter's infected eczema. She was honestly stumped and insisted it was because my daughter licked her lips while sleeping (I'm not joking this was her only plausible explanation even after we told her my daughter wasn't licking her lips). She insisted it was not related to allergies. So it was one cream after the other to no avail. Turns out my daughter had environmental and food allergies which were treated and now her face is perfectly clear. Quick Summary: *Extremely quick visit where she seemed to pay no attention to any previous issues *Staff that did not offer a follow up visit after the appointment *After being told I could get a follow up appointment within the week on the phone, I was told they were too booked to see me. *After asking if they could recommend a doctor in another city, they said they could ask Nguyen for me, but then hung up before getting my information. Went in for my first visit with a dermatologist and potential mole removal. She looked over my skin, told me what I needed was cosmetic, and asked if I had any questions. Then she left. Was in the office for less than 10 minutes and it couldn't have felt like she cared less about me. She didn't ask any questions about my responses on the evaluation you fill out prior to going in (nothing about previous rashes, skin conditions, or anything). I was also assured when making the appointment that if I wanted to get my moles removed I would be able to reschedule for a time within the week to do it (When on the phone, I'd clarified that I had only a limited time before leaving the area). She didn't offer for me to schedule a follow up, nor did any of her assistants. When I called later to make an appointment, I was told that it wasn't possible and she was fully booked. Then when I asked about a recommendation for another city, the receptionist said she could ask, but then took none of my information or went to physically ask the doctor. If I could give a negative rating I would. I have had a wart on my hand for six years. Before going to Dr. Nguyen, I had been to another dermatologist who had made my wart worse which is why I went to her. Her and her staff were nice. Told me my options about what treatment would be best and what to do. I asked her about surgery because I was interested in that option the most. She told me it was not for various reasons, so I listened to her and then that same day she decides to go ahead and start a cryotherapy/freezing treatment for my wart. Well after she gets done doing the procedure I go to pay and instantly my hand starts hurting really bad. Knowing that the procedure would hurt because of what she told me I thought it was normal and decided to ignore it. By the time I got out of the office and back into the car with my mom the pain intensifies and it keeps getting worse as we're driving away. Eventually the pain reaches a point to where it is unbearable and I am sobbing in the car. My mom, worried, tries calling them back asking what they can do or what she can do. And all they tell her is that the pain should subside in a couple of hours. Now I am in shear agony. My hand and arm began to swell from the pain to the point I needed to go to the emergency room to deal with the pain and to make sure my hand was ok. During my visit I had asked Dr. Nguyen if it would be ok to go back to work later that day and if there was anything I needed to do to take care of my hand. She said yes I could go to work and that my hand would be fine and that I shouldn't need to worry about it. Well that's extremely laughable given that now I have doctor's note from the emergency room I went to saying I was not allowed to work for the next two days given what she had done to my hand. Never going back. Not worth any money. Literally experienced the worse pain I have ever felt in my life. So if you want to know potentially what a third degree burn feels like.
