I followed Dr. Guttman to his new practice because he is an excellent doctor. He repaired my ACL 9 years ago so when I fell 5 weeks ago he was the only doctor I wanted to see. I had a great visit with Dr. Guttman yesterday. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable regarding my situation. Dr. Guttman patiently explained what I should expect in my recovery, and how I should contact a pain management doctor in order to keep my CRPS at bay.

Easy quick. Helped a lot

I came to Dr. Guttman with Pain in my shoulder, he took me the same day read the MRI report and treated me with an injection. He was very professional and I would certainly use him, again if necessary

I was going to give him 2 stars, but I don't know enough about this Dr. to rate his ability as a Dr. I can say that he was brief. I went for a service and I got it, that was it. He diagnosed my problem, which kind of shocked me, and never offered any medical advice. Only after I asked did I get some information, but in a way that seemed like he really didn't have the time. I really walked out kind of lost, hoping the shot would help, but not knowing what next step to take. Dr. Guttman is a true professional and an absolute gentleman. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field of medicine. He has performed ACL surgery on my daughter with fantastic results and he is treating me for a torn meniscus. I highly recommend Dr. Guttman, in my opinion he is the best. You won’t be disappointed.

He does not smile and does not have pleasant body language. Professionally, he might be good doctor but my pain in left my knee has not improved with the injections he gave to me.

Came to dr. Guttman for severe pain to my shoulder. He gave me an X-ray and cortisone shot with the ultrasound machine, he was extremely efficient and now my shoulder feels great! Staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful even helped me fill out paperwork bc my shoulder was in pain. Great place!

I have known Dr. Guttman for many years (since 2006), as he has always taken great care of me anytime I’ve been injured. Being a highly active athlete & weight lifter, Dr. Guttman has helped me thru some major injuries that required surgery, and has always gotten me right back to 100%, within a very reasonable amount of recuperation time, every time. And his staff has always been very friendly, courteous, and helpful with anything I’ve ever needed. Dr Guttman had done surgery on both my husband (broken ankle) and son (micro surgery on knee) quite a few years back and both never had had problem after, still to this date. I recently fractured my ankle and tore ligaments in same ankle. From my first visit with Dr. Guttman, he was hands on and extremely knowledgeable in his approach. He outlined a comprehensive plan to heal the injuries. I couldn’t be more happy with my experience and would highly recommend Dr. Guttman to anyone that incurs an injury.

I have been going to Dr. Guttman for years now. He has done multiple surgeries on my knees. I am very happy with him and his treatment approaches. I would definitely recommend Dr. Guttman for those looking for an orthopedic.

The worst experience ever with this doctor, and this noun is used loosely. Do not recommend seeking this guys assistance. A disgrace to the Hippocratic Oath and medical ethics. Do yourself a favor and seek a professional who genuinely cares about their patients.

I haven't seen the doctor yet.... I have been waiting for my 5:20pm appointment. It's currently 6:10. Obviously there is no respect of a patient's time. I was asked if I want to reschedule... but I left work early because they couldn't accommodate a later time (if I left work on time I would have been here 10 minutes ago). And to reschedule requires me to pay a babysitter AGAIN to watch my daughter. I plan to wait and pay my babysitter even more money than planned... but I do not plan on returning. Dr guttman performed shoulder surgery on me back in July 2017 in my opinion he did a excellent job .. All went smooth, after the surgery he put a tube with a ball in a sack with pain meds flowing for a few days .(Sorry dont remember the name) after the removal of the ball the pain was minimal to none ..Shoulder feels great when not using it except my job requires me to lift most of the day ..Good Doctor little stingy on the pain meds otherwise I would use again and would refer him any time .. Just visited Dr. Guttman in his new practice at New York Orthopaedic and Comprehensive Medical Services in Westbury. The move seems to have been a good one for him as the offices are incredibly professional and he was able to spend more time with us. I rated the office but I will rate Guttman as well. The guy didn't send me off for any exams other than an. Xray but diagnosed me with stress fractures in my spine. Told me I'd be good to go back to football in a couple of weeks. Feeling uneasy since all he did was type away at a computer and not really listen to me, I sought other opinions. The next doctor told me I had a much more severe injury and that if I had listened to Guttman I could have done more damage and possibly permanent damage. This doctor actually showed me after doing an MRI and CAT scan, and explained it in detail why Guttman was wrong. If I had trusted Guttman, I could have hurt myself so bad I might have lost the ability to walk. For your safety and well-being, avoid Guttman like the plague. This man will not help you. Beware. This review isn't to discredit the other reviews for doctor Guttman, just to share my experience. I've had bursitis in my shoulder for years and went to Guttman because when I called and asked if they had doctors who specialized in shoulders, the receptionist mentioned him and another doctor. When I first met with him, I told him what the issue was and what I've done in the past regarding PT and he gave me information and recommendations based on normal procedures and policies. I've had back surgery in the past and I'm familiar with what is normally recommended for injuries that aren't 'dire'. I wouldn't say he's friendly, I think he's more stern than anything. There wasn't any pressure or runarounds during the appointment, he's very direct and very experienced with my injury so that may have made a difference. So again - while not the friendliest, he's definitely not unfriendly. While it's nice to have a friendly chat with a doctor, when it comes to getting assistance I could care less about it as long as they can help me with my problems. The only reason I left this review was to kind of balance out the 1-stars that were left. I don't really know what constitutes a 5-star doctor, but as of right now I'm going through recovery and I would return to him for any future shoulder injuries. I'll update this review if I discover anything otherwise after my recovery. I'm in my late 20's and plan to get back into lifting weights and other activities by 2019 Just a tip for anybody with an injury, always look for someone who specializes in your injury. Do as much research as you can and then hope for the best. It also doesn't hurt to always schedule appointments with two different doctors that specialize in your injury for your initial consultation so you can compare and learn as much as possible before making proper decisions. I have had nothing but favorable experiences with Dr. Guttman - the staff - and the entire office. He treated my dad, and he has treated me and was a 2nd opinion (that we followed) for my child. My experience with Dr. Guttman is that of medical professionalism, appropriate in his treatment with both my dad and with me, and cautious with my 14 year old to ensure her orthopedic health.
