Dr. Jeffrey Lester

I have had some OK visits with Dr. Lester and some bad ones. Demonstrates he does not think my time has value to me (long and very long wait times). Wants me to conform to a theoretical body (everyone should be the same). Told me at first appointment that his goal was to make my life as long as possible. Mine is "quality of life is more important than quantity of life". Learned from someone else after my appointment that the appointment he wanted me to schedule in six months will not be with him as he is leaving that medical group and/or location.

Dr. Lester is literally a life saver! He cares, communicates above and beyond all of my expectations! I am so blessed to feel heard and in a place where this doctor and wonderful health care team are working to help me!

The Dr is good....however: if your expecting help once you send a message in "mychart" don't expect it in a timely manner because help isn't coming anytime soon....plan on at least a 2-3 day wait for a response....if uour lucky

Dr. Lester, my PCP for over 4 years is dedicated to providing grewat personal care. He even called me on the phone to make sure I got to a good specialist on one ocassion.. he is as good as they come!

Very professional went well

Dr Lesters approach towards new patients is completely innappropriate. He immediately handed over a print out on how to lose weight and said "I'm supposed to tell you you need to lose weight". This is absolutely the WORST bedside manner that a doctor could have. He also stated on the notes for the appointment that I am "chronically fatigued" and also stated that we discussed that I have high blood sugar. We NEVER discussed me being fatigued and I have NEVER had a blood test done. Dr. Lester has lied on our visit notes, and he failed as a provider to see that a patient is properly taken care of. As a patient, we expect more from a provider that to be okay with patients leaving their office feeling worse than when they arrived. Not once did he ask if excercise or any other steps towards losing weight was happening. Dr. Lester is a terrible excuse for a provider and TGH should be embarrassed at how they are being represented.

Dr. Lester is very thorough, understanding and has a great beside manner. He followed up on some medical issues I was dealing with. I would highly rate his services and the friendly staff.

I’ve been seeing Dr Lester as my primary care physician since 2014. I have always been satisfied with him. I also use TGM and USF for most of my specialist medical care.

Dr. Lester is empathetic, compassionate, and realistic. Everything one would want in a doctor.

Always before my Medicare "physical" was combined with my regular appointment. This time they made me come in on different days in spite of my request not to. I can not se any excuse for this except maybe they get more revenue from two appointments than one. Other doctors (specialists) I see show more interest in me and do more routine checks than Dr/ Lester did.

My new Primary have one visit so far and I'm happy with my choice. Have tried other MD's in Sun City Center area to my disappointment. Dr Lester should be good for me . For those looking for new primary Dr's I highly recommend staying in the Tampa General medical loop.

Dr. Lester is very thorough in his evaluations. I like him as my doctor. He does seem to be pressed for time. He gets a lot out of the interviews & diagnosis. He presses me to do the right things to manage my health.

My appointment was on time. The medical assistants were pleasant and thorough. However, after they were finished I sat over 25 minutes waiting for the doctor. I finally went in the hall to ask if I had been forgotten. Someone went to check on the doctor. Within a few more minutes he came to see me. While all my vitals were checked, my bloodwork reviewed I felt the consultation was pretty impersonal. The majority of the session was spent with Dr. Lester going over information on the computer screen. My appointment was on time. The medical assistants were pleasant and thorough. Grat staff and excellent doctors love this place

Dr Lester is the best doctor I have gone to in years...I am 80 years old and he has helped me very much with many health issues starting with getting my weight down by 30 pounds. I find him very sincere and so helpful. What a blessing he is to our community!! He is very easy to talk to and explains any questions I may have. His staff is the best too, Karen his nurse is very friendly and helpful and the front desk, Jasmine is great too.

Definitely recommend Dr. Lester. Very thorough exam, not rushed for time, provides excellent feedback and recommendations.

Thorough review of medical history. Initial medical plan completed. Excellent first visit.

He has always listened to my needs and explains test results. He tells me the truth, not watered down drivel.

Took a bit longer than expected but not a big deal. Karen did all the preliminaries, answered my questions and Dr Lester wrapped it up I do have to hand it to Dr Lester, though. On my previous visit, he flat out told me if I wanted to be better, lose 20 lbs. he basically challenged me. I lost 18 lbs and my BP dropped as he said it would. He did not just prescribe medication as many would. I appreciate what he said and have recommended him to others.

Very organized and thorough. Spent quite a bit of time with me and answered (as well as explained) all my questions. I normally keep a doctor until he or I retire and since I'm already retired I can see having him until he does.

Dr Lester discussed my concerns and made me feel at ease. He was very thorough and made excellent suggestions & referrals.

I was bleeding from my ear. Audiologist said to to go to Dr. immediately. I drove around corner and Dr. Lester worked me in prettty dam fast. thank you.I believe hearing aids created a blister in my ear and it broke?

Excellent staff, easily made appointments along with rescheduling always at my convenience. They’re always on top of their game and protecting all patients during covid is a major priority . Thank you Dr. Lester and TGH !

Had my visit. He said I need to take an EKG fine go ahead. The results were irregular. I will send it to your Cardiologist OK. One week later I was admitted to the hospital with chest pains. Long story short my cardiologist never got the report. Good bye to Dr, Lester.

Dr Lester is by far the best family doctor immediate wife and have seen. He is a take charge type of person who is extremely àrticulate, knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate as well. Annual physical - went well altho’ I am a smoker I did get the mandatory ‘You know you should stop’ which is on me. DrLester doesn’t labor the point. Asks very relevant questions about my health, and requests appropriate lab work & vaccinations most of which can be done at the same time. He’s very professional, amiable and not rushed in any manner. Definitely recommend him to all others.

I have been a patient of Dr.Lester for many years (;-). I preferred the original SCC office...smaller therefore able to get to know staff, etc. The larger facility, of course, offers additional services, convenient, etc. Also, Dr. Lester being affiliated with Tampa General is a special bonus for me personally.

I’m happy to finally have found an excellent Physician in SCC! My first visit with Dr. Lester was extremely impressive. He showed great interest in my concerns. Dr.Lester is caring, very competent, personal and thorough. He asked smart detailed questions and ordered tests accordingly. I feel my medical care is now in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Lester to anyone looking for better care and a new doctor.

We did not meet in person due to Covid. Dr. Lester seemed kind however would have a better experience in person. He listened and took care of my immediate needs. At least I now have a Primary Dr. I can refer to.

It was very wierd at first but very interesting. I would be something I could do again if necessary.

Waited 1hour . Dr gave excellent service

Visit was done via telephone as face time didnt work. We addressed the issues and rx was received to treat sinus problem.

Was greated at the front door and put thru the COVID-19 routine in a very professional manner. The person doing the pre-visit information was not familiar with the TGH computer system and had to get assisstance from other personnel on several occassions . The machine for taking blood pressure would not work accurately and had be tried several times. Dr Lester was very good at getting to the heart of the exam and fereting out the essential information.
