He’s just your old fashioned, take time,,look straight in your face straight up truth….in all my 70 years of seeing doctors….there is no doctor I have seen that is more humble, devoted, and just so honest!!! I hope he practices forever!!!!!!!!

I've been seeing Dr. Sider for over 10 years and he is a fantastic orthopedic Doctor and Surgeon. He is a kind and understanding person, and a very competent doctor. He is extremely professional and always takes the extra time with you to explain your condition, resolution and ongoing care. The support staff in his office is great and always very accommodating. The head Physical Therapist, Sean is outstanding and is very involved in all aspects of your ongoing treatment. My mother has been a patient of Dr. Sider for over 15 years. She's 85 and has arthritis in her back, hands and knees. Dr. Sider has worked with her through physical therapy all of the years she's seen him. She had surgery Nov. 2019 for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome on her left hand and the results were excellent. She had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago and is doing extremely well! Her recovery is excellent. What a difference he made with her surgery. She and I are very pleased with the results. He and his entire staff are kind, knowledgeable and patient. He is not a Dr. that rushes into surgery. The physical therapy he provides is great! If you need an orthopedic doctor, Dr. Sider is the one I recommend. He's the BEST!

Dr. Sider is the best orthopedic doctor. My 85 year old mother has arthritis in her back, hands and knees. She has been a patient of his for over 15 years. She had surgery on her hand for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in Nov. 2019. The results are excellent!. She had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago and the results are excellent! Dr. Sider and his staff have been wonderful. I came to him for a second opinion and decided that he was the right fit for me. Dr. Sider is very thorough in his examination and has taken the time to explain each procedure and the steps that will following in the recovery process. Dr. J Sider, his office staff, Physical Therapist and assistants were professional, courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr Sider and his staff to family and friends.

We were greeted by very friendly staff and we were seen by Dr. Sider himself throughout our visit. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very willing to help and offer up advise. My daughter needed an MRI and we were seen that afternoon. The office did all of the leg work in a very pleasant and customer service oriented way. Dr. Sider was extremely professional and had a great bedside manner. A great experience given the changes in the health care systems today.

Courteous, kind, clean! The staff are sweet and so accommodating. Dr Sider is very thorough and took great care of me. Highly recommended!!

Excellent Doctor! I had a running injury in the knee, Dr Sider was able to get me an MRI the same day. The MRI confirmed a torn meniscus. Dr Sider repaired the knee the same week. He has a complete Physical Therapy team in his office. Dr checks on the progress of his patients as they do the PT. I'm very impressed with his dedication and care of his patients.

Dr. Sider’s kind and compassionate bedside manner is only exceeded by his skill as a physician and surgeon. I was struggling for 7 months with pain in my shoulder that progressively worsened until I was sleeping an intermittent couple of hours at a time and struggled to put a shirt or coat on. Dr. Sider saw me the day I called for an appointment, spent time on the phone with the insurance company to get me an MRI the following day, and saw me the day after the MRI to discuss my options.

Dr.Sider is by far one of the best orthopedist around, and his office staff is great. I am having trouble get a pre approval for a MRI. Dr. Sider got on the phone with the insurance company himself trying to help me. I am presently going to p/t, and his staff is fantastic and helpful. Many times Dr. Sider is there supervising and answering any questions. I have not seen another doctor care as much for his patients as Dr. Sider. I highly recommend him.

It has been a pleasure having Dr.Sider as my doctor for 10 years. He is a very competent doctor who has always been extremely attentive to my needs.

I have visited dr Sider for a few injuries one of which required surgery. He is a very polite and caring doctor. The staff is always helpful and does their best to assist me when I ask

I have seen Dr. Sider for both a strained achilles tendon and carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. Dr. Sider preformed surgery on my left hand and did a fantastic job. He will be performing surgery on my right hand soon. I am extremely pleased with level of care I have received, not only from Dr. Sider, but from the office staff and the physical therapy staff at Mid Island Orthopedics and Physical Therapy.

Worst orthopedic service, useless physical therapy, grossly overinflated bills, illegal collection practices. Big mistake to use them.

The reviews are true, and I should have believed them. Bad analysis, double billing and hounding after. They just sign you up for their PT care, there really is no good analysis of the injury. 2 minutes of lifting your shoulder, scheduling you for an MRI, x-ray, whatever they can, telling you that you feel something that you don't. Then they schedule you for PT, and I tell them that I will call them back to schedule it, but they leave it in their books and charge you a NO SHOW fee. Second, my insurance or orthopedics have NEVER charged for a follow up after you get your MRI to discuss. I only have paid the co-pay first time. Here, they bill you AGAIN for coming back to discuss the results, which I have never seen. I took my MRI results to another doctor and got a completely different opinion, never went back here. Now, I get call after call about the bill - I explained last time about how I never scheduled the PT, and that I shouldn't be billed the extra co-pay. The lady said she understands, will look into it and call me back, and never did. A month later I got a call from somebody else, extremely rude, and when I explained to her that someone else said they would revise the bill and get back to me, all I got was a major attitude and denial. She said literally "I will not revise the bill, you will make the payments, or we will see you in Court." lol, who talks like that? Court scare tactics? Ok. you need a class in customer service people. Do NOT go here, I should have believed these reviews. Just read the response below by Dakota, I cancelled my PT appt, the person working there did not take it off calendar, and now they want to charge me. I should have recorded the call instead of relying on the person's ability to cancel an appt I guess. Don't lie, you said "I will see you in Court", most pathetic lame statement especially by a "professional". Rude!!! Office manager called me to tell me my behavior was inappropriate because I questioned the necessity of a visit to close my file which would require a co pay. As a paying patient I have the right to question and have the choice to refuse/decline further treatment at any time which I did via phone. However, I was told I had to come which didn't make sense to me so I questioned the staff when I got there. After questioning them I was told the visit wasn't necessary and they could just document patient refused further treatment on the chart. So, I'm really unsure why this wasn't the process initially when i was called to come in and I declined. The office staff was not professional and seemed to just want money. While getting therapy I over heard therapist complaining about this office! Therapist was great but the office staff is horrible!!! The office staff appears to have been there for decades and are mostly likely stuck in their ways so change won't happen. This no longer concerns me because I would never go back or refer. 6/30/17 As the owner of a facility you should encourage your staff to more responsible and not defensive when making errors or being questioned. Once a patient declines treatment there should a suggestion of a follow up but not required as i was informed via phone. My experience was unnecessary and uncalled for. One of the worst orthopedics you can possibly go to! The doctors are not knowledgeable and are not able to provide correct treatment. They will simply refer you into their physical therapy room which is gross and ill equipped with old and cheap machines. The staff is horribly rude to patients. Not to mention for this "service" you will be charged very high co pays. Then they will try to double bill you for the service after billing the insurance. If you refuse to pay them they will send an unregistered unlawful collection company(which is really just one of their employees) to call you nonstop and send you letters that do not conform to the debt collection practice laws. - As you can see from the employee response the "collection agency" is just one of their employees. To the state I am owed at least $250 in back co-pays as my insurance is paid for in full. I have sent the letter in regards to this requesting immediate payment. And they try to scam you out of even more money by sending you these "collection notices" once again one of the worst " Physicians" you can go to save yourself the trouble and seek treatment elsewhere because you will not get that here. Not only did Dr. Sider save me from having knee surgery , but I am 2 weeks into physical therapy and feeling fabulous. I am almost fully recovered and this is due to the wonderful therapists that have helped me strengthen my leg/knee. I go 3x per week and every time I am there, Dr. Sider is there monitoring all his patients. He was the only orthopedist who was able to see me the SAME day I called. This is extremely important especially where you’re in pain. I was seen, had an MRI and started PT within 2 days. The staff is amazing and you are always greeted with pure amazing energy. Dr. Sider repaired my torn quad last August. He is a very talented and gifted surgeon who performed an unusual surgery to reattach it to my knee. After physical therapy at Mid Island Orthopedics I now have full use of my leg. Dr. Sider and his staff are very compassionate and caring. They give very personalized and comprehensive care to their patients in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I cannot imagine a better experience or being in better hands than Dr. Sider and his team.

When our daughter, a gymnast need knee surgery there was no other Doctor then Dr. Sider with whom I would trust our daughters health. His commitment to each of his patients is evident each time we visited his office. Her surgery went flawlessly, and she made a full recovery. The time she spent in his pt office under his watchful eyes aided in her recovery. She was back to full gymnast mode in months. I never thought I would see her tumble again but with Dr. Sider's help she is now pain free.

We have been seeing Dr. Jeffrey Sider, a sole practitioner for twenty years. He is one of the most caring physicians we have ever met. He is honest, thorough and takes the time to discuss and examine you, he never rushes. I walked into his office one Friday afternoon for my mother, 95 (who fractured her ankle) and Sammy told me to bring her in right away that afternoon. If you need to see Dr. Sider the same day, they always try to accommodate you. Physical Therapists , Office Staff are great.

Dr. Sider is one of the most caring physicians I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! IHeis extremely patient centric and has a wonderful bedside manner.In Thelast 2 years Ihave had 2 surgeries and would never think of going anywhere else. There is a supportive physical therapy staff who is extremely helpful and located in the same office.which is very convenient. I have recommended Dr. Sider to many of my friends.

Dr. Sider and his team are caring, professional and patient. Everything he has told me to date has been correct. He has performed surgery on my knee and strategized on methods, techniques and medicine in order to avoid future surgery and keep my fragile knees healthy. Rehab was very worthwhile and they did not attempt to extend it unnecessarily. He maintains the friendliness and culture of a time gone by while still providing a modern medical practice. I highly recommend him and his team!

I can’t say enough great things about Dr.Sider, the staff and the therapists. I had a ski injury popping my knee and he was able to see me the SAME day I called and get me an MRI . He saved me from getting surgery and started me on physical therapy within 2 days of seeing him. Here I am 2 weeks later feeling great and well on my way to a full recovery. The therapists are the BEST and Dr. Sider stops in and sees how all his patients are doing during PT. HIGHLY Recommend. 10 stars if I could.

I went to Dr. Sider in 2000 when i had knee issue. I recently had pain in the same knee back in december 2017 and decided to go back to him to have it looked at. I trust Dr Sider with his recommendation for treatment.

Just wanted to post a review in regards to DAKOTA @ Dr.Sider's office she works as part of their new billing department. I was extremely upset in regards to a bill/statement I received from her. Let me explain although I was quite rude, and loud, she maintained her exposure and explained the charges that even I was impressed. I was hobbling for months with an aching knee. Dr. Sider was my "second opinion". His diagnosis and plan of action differed from that of the first orthopedic surgeon I saw - it was more proactive and made more sense. Within a week after seeing Dr. Sider, I had the surgery for repairing (trimming) my meniscus tear, and I was able to go back to work after missing 1 day of work (a Friday) and recuperating over the weekend. I had excellent follow up care including physical therapy & remain pain-free

Dr. Sider recently performed surgery on my left shoulder. His work was amazing. Immediately my range of motion has been restored and previous pains have diminished. His staff is professional and courteous. The scheduling for my appointment couldn't have been easier. The surgery was seamless and my recovery is moving along quite well. Dr.Sider and his staff are excellent. Dr.Sider helped me in my basketball career both with my shoulder and my knee.

Doctor Sider has treated me and my daughter with various sprains and surgeries and has been excellent and very caring. We travel from Floral park to woodbury to see him and would recommend him to anyone in need of care for orthopedic issues. Wonderful Doctor. his staff is aewesom and treats everyone like family.

Dr. Sider is one of the BEST Doctors that I ever dealt with in my lifetime! He is knowledgeable, patient and professional in his work; hie vast experience allows him to anticipate and prevent future problems and I always fely safe and secure under his care. I first had knee surgery in 2014 and subsequent shoulder surgery in 2016 and I am already 100% recovered from the knee surgery and more than 95% recovered from the shoulder surgery. Great Doctor; excellent Physical Therapy program!

Dr. Sider and his staff are fantastic. The doctor takes the time to get to know you and listens to your complaints. I just returned to the office after almost 10 years without an injury and the staff still remembered me. Truly a great modern office with the feel of doctor's offices I had in my youth.

I first saw Dr Sider 5 years ago when I injured my wrist and I am currently finishing up post operative treatment and therapy for knee surgery that he performed one month ago. I can not imagine a more caring, competent or skilled physician than Dr Sider. He and the staff are wonderful and, I feel, truly care about me and my road to recovery. His in house PT staff are absolutely incredible as well! He is one of, if not the best, orthopedists on LI.

Dr Sider is a fantastic physician and by far the best orthopedist I have seen. He is a gifted physician with calming and caring demeanor. As a solo practitioner, not a member of one of the large hospital based conglomerates, he and his staff run a more "old fashioned" type practice in which they get to know you as a person as well as a patient which, in my opinion, helps ensure a successful outcome to the treatment an individual requires. Dr Sider and his staff are the best.

Dr. Sider is very dedicated to his patients. Explains everything and answers all your questions. Office staff and physical therapists are wonderful. My husband and daughter also see Dr. Sider.

I can not say enough kind words about Dr. Sider and his staff. He has treated my daughter numerous times and understands what being a competitive athlete is all about. He is professional, kind and caring. The staff makes you feel warm and welcome as well as very accommodating. First off I'm a Nurse. Never worked with Dr Sider but wish I had. The office professionalism his expertise are unmatched anywhere. I had knee surgery and shots I'm still walking. After an accident 30 yrs ago that I was told nobody could fix. He did. My husband had surgery here and now my daughter. There should be no negative comments this dr is the best I've seen. The office is like family. Trust me I am quite picky in the medical field if you want to be out of pain come here

I can't praise Dr.Sider enough for how he has helped me and people who I referred to him. Dr.Sider is a fantastic Surgeon and Care management. He is knowledgeable , caring and available when needed. He is truly concerned for his patients and gives as much attention as patient needs. He facility is always clean. His Staff is kind and helpful and easy to work with for appointments or Insurance issues. They go out of their way to remedy issues. I highly recommend Dr. Sider! Robert

This is a review of the office and not Dr. Sider himself. I went to Dr. Sider in Jan 2015 when I threw out my back. I was advised to do physical therapy (which they have in the office). I said I didn't want to participate in physical therapy because I had very high copays and coinsurance for it so it's not very affordable for me. I was assured that I would not be charged over X amount per session. A month or so later comes a bill that far exceeds what I was promised I would be charged. I had to speak with a woman in billing who agreed to lower the bill after much discussion (the bill was still exceeding the maximum of what I was assured I would pay). I sent them a check. Fast forward a month or two later (still in 2015) and I receive a rather terse voicemail informing me that Dr. Sider's office never received my check. I go online and look up the check information and call back, informing them that the check was cashed. The woman in billing assures me that they DID receive my check, sorry for the false alarm. I assume I am done with this office and move on with my life. Fast forward to OVER TWO YEARS LATER in 2017, I receive a threatening email out of the blue from Dr. Sider's office claiming that there is a balance on my account that they will send to court if I don't pay it. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The mistake I made going to Dr. Sider's office in January of 2015 is still haunting me in June 2017!!!! This has caused so much unnecessary stress (more than throwing out my back in the first place!) This is a review of the office and not Dr. Sider himself. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Sider. I had debilitating sciatica pain and could barely stand up straight when I first saw him. Within a week, I felt SIGNIFICANT relief. It was hard to believe because a previous experience with sciatica lasted over a year, involved a number of specialists, a variety of pain meds, injections, therapy and chiropractic treatment. Why were their methods ineffective while Dr. Sider's prescribed meds and therapy offered me quick relief? Maybe it's because he works hand in hand with his own physical therapists. Or, he's just that good. I'm just glad I found him when I did. The facility is clean, environment is pleasant and the entire staff friendly. Don't believe the reviews that say otherwise. They're patient, understanding and fought with my insurance company so I didn't have to. I highly recommend Dr. Sider and his team! I couldn't be happier with Dr. Sider. Our experience has always been great. The staff is warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. Dr Sider has always been calm, caring and diligent when treating my childrens (3) sports injuries. The X-ray technician and therapy staff are all so caring.

This man is ignorant and takes advantage of not only his employees but his younger clients. Secretarial staff was VERY condescending to my special needs daughter and we only wish we could go back for Sean and Tyler to work on her, but we're billed ironically for times we were not seen.
