I’ve had several procedures performed by Dr. Tao in the last few years on both my eyes, and I cannot be more thrilled! Dr. Tao is an excellent professional, who cares deeply about the welfare of his patients. He is definitely the best!

Horrible experience. They gave me an estimate of cost before procedure. After the procedure, I got a bill from Dr Tao and the facility for 6 times the amount. For a very simple 30 minute procedure of removing a few lesions on my face, without any anesthesia or complications. They're claiming $6100. They had quoted me $700-$1000. They're not answering me, responding to my emails/calls, etc. Not willing to explain anything. This is straight up fraud. Please Don't use the doctor or facility.

Dr. Tao knew how to help me with my tear ducts problem immediately after I had been misdiagnosed by my former doctor for a year and a half. I scheduled surgery and had results right away. He and his surgical staff were amazing. I felt like I was in a five star hotel with all the great care. I highly recommend Dr.Tao.

Dr. Tao was very skilled in my eyelid sling surgery for my ptosis caused by my CPEO. Visually my eyes look so much better and I do not have dry eye as a result of the surgery which was performed in 2015. Very happy with the results!

I went here to get professional help to fix my eye. This douchbag str8 ruined my right eye. When I told him about it,instead of try to find ways to help, he act hard trying to insult me. Him and his lacky female MD whoes very unqualify, doesn't even kno what shes doing or talking about. When she examined me, she keep going back and forth from my examining room and his office to ask question like a dog fetching a ball. Both ruined my eye now its gonna cost me thousands to get fix. I would never recommend them to even my worst enemy. They are Very unprofessional, entitled they thinking they're better than the people they supposedly are helping. They don't care about their patient only $$$

Dr. Tao has helped have better movement with my right after after Acoustic Neuroma brain tumor removal. An awesome and very knowledgeable, patient doctor.

In 1990 I had a left eye operation to repair an orbital socket fracture. Due to increasing double vision, I was measured with a prism off set of 15, in December of 2015 Dr.Tao inserted a mesh to support my left eye. I was told I would have a couple of days of discomfort then everything would return to normal. This has not proved to be the case. The situation is considerably worse than before the mesh was inserted. My left eye waters and stings, I can no longer wear contact lenses due to the irritation. I have numbness around my left eye, left cheek and the left half of my nose and the double vision has not improved. Over the years since the mesh operation I have been to numerous doctors, the consensus is that there is nothing to be done and unfortunately I will have to live with the situation. I would caution anyone considering this type of operation to be aware that things may not go as expected and only proceed if absolutely necessary.

Patients love him. However I am a treating oncologist and I can not even get hold of him through his office staff to talk to him about a mutual patient with cancer. Horrible staff

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). Dr. Tao appears to be a skilled Ophthamologist, HOWEVER, his skills performing eyelid surgery are lacking. His cuts were asymmetrical and uneven (noticeable on one eye); Long, long, long wait times for every appointment; Zero beside manner with appointments before, during, and after surgery; Incorrect billing and no interest in rectifying error. Very poor experience overall.

Dr. Tao and the UCI outpatient surgery team were wonderful. Dr. Tao has great bedside manners, took the time to sit down and listen. The surgical team of nurses were caring, attentive and took the time to address my pain at every stage of my procedure. I am very pleased with my upper eyelid surgery. I have recommended him to several of my friends who are now scheduled to see him. Thank You, Dr. Tao and the UCI surgical team.

He is absolutely amazing! He fixed a notch in my upper left eyelid and he also placed an implant in my cheek. The surgery went great and the recovery was nothing like I was expecting. I am extremely satisfied with the before and after! He is outstanding and helped me change my life. I would definitely recommend him first to anyone when it comes to eye and facial problems!

It was clear from the first moment I met Dr. Tao that he is interested in performing surgery rather than talking to me. He didn't really get to the bottom of why I was referred. He left the room for some reason and one of his other doctors had to come and talk to me like an adult. I forget his name but he was willing to listen to me, actually examined me and walked me through some drops that actually worked. No surgery. Thank you whoever you were. I wish Dr. Tao would have listened.

Dr. Tao is an amazing doctor and we are so lucky to have found him for our son who was born without tear drains. He has an amazing bedside manner and is very interested in his patients recovery. Although it has taken several surgeries, we are very close to success and our son's quality of life has greatly improved now that his eyes aren't constantly infected. Another Ophthalmologist recommended. I had no difficulty in getting an appointment. When I arrived, he was on time and enthusiastic. Communicated very well after I explained my problem, he told me what he thought and what he thought needed to be done. All other appointments were all on time and very professional. Surgery went well with no issues. The problem with my eye was totally resolved and it has healed very nicely. I have already recommended him to a friend and my wife.
