Very easy to talk to

This review is for the staff at Galvez and Blom. It took 45 minutes and being hung up on 5 times to speak to someone who told me I was lying and was not hung up on. Then she told me "she couldn't deal with me". I cannot review the skills or professionalism of the physicians as I was not able to get past their staff. I work in the medical field, and I would never allow my staff to speak to a patient in this manner. Patients are contacting this physician due to illness, pain or injury and treating them in this manner is unacceptable.

Dr Blom and his assistant were the most accommodating ,informative , and understanding my situation,, BUT his staff were the most unprofessional , unorganized in any profession I ever seen ,, I had to have an operation for my shoulder ,, they cancelled the first hospital appointment, on the 14 of January,, giving an excuse that the hospital is not operating, I called the hospital and they were operating ,, then Ms Trish gave me a different excuse ,,,, Now has been 10 weeks and no communication with me even though I have called over 6 times and left messages to call me back till now I have not got a call ,, has been almost three month since my first visit in December of 2021 ,, The Dr may be great but his staff are to pits ,,

My shoulder surgery went very well. Dr Blom had great a understanding of my workers comp case, and was able to estimate when to submit paperwork for PT to begin on time. Also he and his staff in Lakeland are very responsive when you call them. And I never waited longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room!

please do your research on this doctor it's been 8 years I'm living in a nightmare for my partial hip replacement he gave me when I was only 60 years old. I'm in horrible pain from his surgery my life is terrible please do not let him operate on you

Met w/ Tal Raizer NP and she was amazing. Exceeded ALL my expectations! Staff was also very professional. Took the time to listen/review to come up with the best alternative for my case. Very attentive and considered all details for my care. Would highly recommend her!

The absolute worst surgeon I've ever met. My knee injury is far worse after the surgery than prior to. Would never recommend him to anyone else.

Went to Blom's office with rotator cuff problem. A nurse saw me. Nurse and front desk staff said I needed referral for cortizone injection & they would contact my insurance. Weeks went by; no referral. Gave up & asked my PCP to refer me to someone else. He did. Wasted at least 3 weeks for Blom's staff to move. The shoulder still is painful (still must go to new doctor).

I didn't come back to Dr bloom l didn't like them the staff don't know what they are doing they gave me some pills but still not help was like taking over the counter medicine that was not good for me still in pain and now when I call they lie saying they never got paid I was looking through my insurance receipt and they go paid long time ago. The clinic where my primary dr work do a better job.Omg thyt are so disgusting ???????????? The doctor is great his staff however let's not even go there.... I have been waiting over a month for a document so that I can submit it to my insurance, and continue receiving my monthly benefitand it may be another week or so. It may no,t hold on let me put you on hold so you talk to that person, That handles this. Best doctor ever

Went to Dr Blom for shoulder pain, received an injection which help managed my pain. Doctor Blom and staff were friendly and accommodated my busy schedule on short notice.

Great doc, great staff. Dr Blom helped with all my questions, and his staff was very kind.

Dr. Blom and his staff are amazing! My daughter and I are both patients of Dr. Blom and always have had a pleasant experience. Dr. Blom is attentive, compassionate and ensures that your issues are addressed.

Dr. Johannes Blom was amazing with me. I tore 3 out of my 4 ligaments in my left knee at a wedding. The doctors office was able to get me right in and gave me all the information I needed and didn't want me to rush into surgery. I'm so happy that he gave me that advise because I was ready for surgery and I'm sooooo happy I didn't do it. I'm feeling so much better and stronger everyday. Took my grandfather in for hip pain and the office staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Dr. Blom was took his time to explain everything to my grandfather and I. He was very gentle and kind. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

I have been a patient of Dr Blom and known him for years. He is a very good listener, spends the time needed with patients and a very good surgeon. I recommend Dr. Blom to everyone. He is extremely good at what he does and on top of it he genuinely caring and kind. The office staff never disappoints to help a patient if they can. Straight up a great To tor and courteous office staff

This doctor ruined my life. 8 years ago I ended up in the Dr and he was the doctor available. He did a partial hip replacement on a 60 year old and did it from the back. Not offering any other option. I'm in chronic pain for 8 years Stay away from this doctor

After my appointment I was happy with Dr Blom and and the staffs care and treatment. It was a busy day and I had to wait over 2 hours but it happens.

Had on file that I had a previous pulmonary embolism. Had broke my foot. Didn't put me on preventive meds got another one because of bed rest. His answer to me was why didn't you remind me???? You are the doctor not me???? Follow directions and read your patient file....

He's ok but he's Mr. Not going to give you pain meds dude, so if you are having knee surgery, you're going to do it on Tylenol because that's all you are getting.

The doctor is exceptionally knowledgeable about all orthopedic and underlying problems staff is courteous offers hours are convenience but they do over book appointment times overall it's straight up

Dr Blom replaced both of my knees in 2011 he is the best ortho doctor I'm am better now than when i was 50 yrs old i am 77 yrs old so I am proof.

Dr Blom may be a good doctor but I canceled my next appointment with him to to his nasty on caring Front office staff. I am 81 years old and I have never in all my years met anyone working for a doctor with such a cold disgusting attitude. They never offered to call if they had a cancellation or would they allow me to speak to anyone that could explain my mri results to me instead I was told to wait three weeks. Rudest front desk staff I have ever encountered. Ever. How these people have a job dealing with people is beyond me. Unprofessional and just down right nasty.

I was referred to Dr. Blom by my primary doctor. What a wonderful thing! He is one of the very few doctors who will take time to LISTEN. Plus he doesn't leave you wondering about what you should do next. He airs on the side of caution and will order an x-ray (to be done in the office) if he suspects any doubt of diagnosis. On a Friday I had a serious fall. I went to his office early afternoon. Although he wasn't seeing any patients, he too me right in and cared for me. Above and Beyond!

After a recent skateboarding injury I visited Dr. Blom for treatment. The information and recommendations he provided for medication and procedures were spot on. After surgery I was back to 100% in no time. I would recommend Dr. Blom to anyone needing orthopedic attention.

Dr. Blom care about this patients , he takes the time to thoroughly explain things to his patients and he has a good bedside matter. He performed two surgery on me (shoulder and hip) and I am 100 percent better. I highly Dr. Blom to anyone who has any orthopaedic problems.

Quick, and to the point. Observate as I came in with one broken toe from an urgent care, and they found a second. Only problem being is its hard to get a hold of dr.s assistance for medication help. It takes minimum two days for a return call, and I was allergic to what they gave me.

I had a very poor experience at other Drs office and I was very concern looking for a second place. I call a few places and did my research. I was very defensive asked a lot of questions and even mentioning bad reviews I founded in other websites about those places including this one. I barely give reviews of any kind because there is a lot of people doing in a wrong way saying things that are nor true just because the weren't please when they were not suppose to , but Im making a huge exception on this one. Since the moment I spoke with the front desk lady, Maria, I had hope this place was going to be the exception. She listen to all of my concerns of my first experience, answered all my questions and give me enough confidence to try Dr Bloom and She wasn't wrong at all. Very humble and professional doctor. Amazing Doctor. After my surgery, I had questions and complications related to other health issues. He called me at the Hospital after I spoke with his office and placed a request for a call back if possible. He called me back on a Sunday!!!
