Everything! This is one doctors office I don’t mind making a visit to.

The shame of this practice is that Dr. Day is an extremely good and caring physician but the practice itself (administrative and support) is killing the business. I receive phone calls from the practice to schedule procedures that have already been done (by Dr. Day!) and they have no idea that the procedure was done even though it is documented in my patient record? How does that happen? And the call was not just once, I am up to 3 calls now. I changed doctors and I still receive phone calls from Gastro Health to set up appointments that make no sense and are not needed? There is information in the online portal that is completely inaccurate and I could not get anyone to update or correct the bad information so every time I went to an appointment I was asked about the incorrect information and had to correct my health record at the time (the person made notes of the required correction) but the correction never seems to get done. This went on and on to the point I was fed up. How is a doctor supposed to treat patients properly when the information coming from the record keeping system is consistently wrong? I have now changed doctors to a completely different practice because of the business practices of Gastro Health. Now I am with a doctor that I do not like as much as Dr. Day but the practice runs the way a doctors practice should run and the time is concentrated on my health, not correcting my personal health information or avoiding testing or procedures that are not needed. It must be pretty embarrassing for a doctor to tell a patient that it is time for a test/procedure to be done and have the patient tell the doctor that the test/procedure was just done a few weeks ago, by the doctor that is telling you it is time! Dr. Day is extremely patient! He takes the time to explain everything and listens carefully to his patients. He helped me resolve a problem and was courteous and friendly.

Dr. Day is matter a fact and doesn't like to chit chat, but really know his stuff. Have been going to him for years for Colonoscopy. He does explain things well and gets right to the point. So if you want someone who is chatty go to your best friend but if you want a good doctor of gastroenterology go see Dr. Day.

The administrative staff at his practice are very abrupt. as is Dr. Day. He lacks courtesy, performs his job in a rote, perfunctory manner and does not encourage patient involvement in treatment plans. Questions seem to annoy him. As a senior. partner, perhaps he has heard it all and has become annoyed and tired of his profession. I do not recommend him.

Front-line staff needs to be retrained. Poor customer service over the phone. Rather than listening to my needs, some lady kept cutting me off. Rather than feeling like a welcomed patient I felt as if I was just another number added to their insurance-reimbursement list.

Excellent staff, great docs, good bedside manner, thorough, and most of all short wait times!

Referred by primary care doctor for colonoscopy. Found cancer and arranged surgery with two of the best in area with 8 days. Going back for six months repeat colonoscopy to be sure all cancer is removed. Dr. Day is thorough, kind, just the best. Also has terrific nurse.
