John David Nicely

Dr. Nicely was on duty when I came in with extreme nerve pain due to several falls and then a third injury, all to my sacroiliac joint and sciatic nerve within a few months. He was very caring and seemed to understand that horrible, special kind of pain. Soon I was receiving IV medication that started to relieve some of the pain. I was admitted and through the night he made sure I received more and more through the IV whenever the pain came back. The next morning when another doctor sent me home with reference to my 25 years of chronic pain and basically told me to "get used to it,” I saw how Dr. Nicely’s care and demeanor had been especially superior. I am thankful he was able to lessen my way-above-chronic pain, even if only for one night.

AWESOME and friendly doctor.

Doctor Nicely, was a poor excuse for a doctor. All he looks out for is saving the hospital money. I have private insurance, I broke my ankle in the parking lot of the hospital and Dr. Nicely would not take an x-ray. He said that I didn't meet Ottawa area ruling ( I met 3 of the 4!). I wrap my broken ankle with a ace bandage and said it was just a sprain. Well 6 failed surgeries later, all trying to fix his screw up. I had to amputate the ankle this year. Dr. Nicely lives up to his name. He is very knowledgeable and he cares about the patients.
