Joining as a concierge member was the best decision I have made. Dr. Birkholz is always available and she makes me feel heard. She truly listens, offers me options and empowers me to make decisions about my care. Dr. Birkholz is extremely knowledgeable about permimenopause and has offered natural options as well as medical treatment. The office staff are friendly and accomodating as well. This is how a medical practice should be!

Dr.Birkholz and staff are professional, caring and thorough. I feel so fortunate to have found them. I never feel hurried; and they have spent however long it takes, over several appointments, to understand my health issues and goals. I truly feel like a priority at their office. Dr Birkholz is available personally at any time for any questions or problems. Two thumbs up!

I am very happy with Angela Birch and her team at Laurie Birkholz office. They make you feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Angela Birch is an incredible doctor. She is very knowledgeable and actually listens to you. She is willing to learn right along with you. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new place to go for a regular doctor's office.

After becoming disgruntled with traditional providers, I can say that I am extremely pleased with the services from this practice. They know your name, they respond to your needs, they refer when warranted, and they provide excellent health care. Anna Spoelhoff has taken care of my every need and has communicated in an efficient manner every time. The medical assistants provide efficient and professional care in a friendly, personable manner. I am forever grateful every time I see Dr. Laurie. She is kind, smart, witty, well-informed and makes me feel welcome. That goes also to any e-mail, text or call I receive. Her staff follows her lead as well. Dr. Laurie discovered I had been taking 2 prescriptions that were having a negative impact on my aging kidneys. Immediately changed & updated meds. She takes care of me as if I were her very own mom!

Dr. Birkholz is a fantastic physician. She is thorough. She takes the time to read and understand previous medical history. She is professional, yet very easy to talk to. She welcomes questions and takes the time to answer them in a kind and compassionate manner. I appreciate her holistic approach. She asks questions, listens (the key here is she truly listens) then creates a holistic plan to address issues/concerns. She also is great at following up. She is the best!

So incredibly happy to have this amazing service finally in our community! As a very busy business owner, I was able to call & be seen on a Saturday morning, with a one hour notice, to get a Covid-19 rapid test, after waking up with a sore throat and headache. It was just precautionary, but I wanted to be safe bc I'm surrounded by many clients Mon-Fri & would have had to miss consecutive days to get a standard test at a hospital which would have been super inconvenient and cost me time & money to wait for results! I have been with Dr. Birkholz for 2 months and today I had the BEST experience. With a normal PC it would have taken weeks to get in and more than likely I would have to go to the ER where they would throw pain meds at me. Not with Dr. Birkholz, she got me in with Anna right away. I am talking within an hour of me texting her. They made a diagnosis right away and had Erin Lamb come in and confirm the diagnosis. She was able to do some manipulations to relieve the pain and I was able to go home with nothing more than Advil and follow up PT. I am still blown away by the level of service they provided. Dr. Laurie Birkholz is a GAME CHANGER! She has been my doctor now for almost 3 years and she is THE BEST doctor I have ever experienced. For example, I just left an appointment where she sat and explained the results of my labs for an hour! Answered all my questions, explained it in a way I understood and was so comforting. A few years back I had other concerns, which is why I choose to switch to her as my primary doctor. Not only does she specialize in lady parts, she also does primary care, and a wonderful job of it too! In the past I had some issues that doctors just brushed off as no big deal, even though it was a big deal to ME! Dr. Laurie helped me get back to where I wanted to be physically and encouraged me to do more! I'm now in the best health of my life, and I could not have done it without her guidance and expertise. OH - and Dr. Laurie is SO accessible. The patient portal is amazing! Dr. B's office staff is incredible and it is just a bunch of strong women, helping other strong women as we venture through our many changes of life and health. Dr. Laurie is also a friend. So I know first hand how much pride she takes in her job. Always going to conferences, reading medical literature and all that smart people science stuff. She is seriously, AAAMAZING. I feel so fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Birkholz. It's obvious that she wants to provide the best care possible to her patients, and she certainly succeeds in doing so. The nurses and front office staff are also among the best I've experienced. I'd recommend this practice to any woman!

I switched to Dr. Birkholz’s practice a few months ago, and have been so happy with the care I have received at her office. Dr. Birkholz communication, attention to detail, and expertise in women’s health is like nothing I have experienced before. She is easy to reach with questions in between appointments, and was quick to get me in and order the appropriate tests immediately for a health issue I was having! I saw an Instagram post about Dr Birkholz practice and was intrigued. A doctor who spends an hour with you, listens to you and works with you on your health needs? It is all true. And amazing! Dr Birkholz is so easy to talk to. She is thorough and makes sure you leave an appointment feeling well taken care of. In addition to the top notch care, the staff is amazing and so friendly. It has also been helpful that Equilibrium Physical Therapy is located at the same office. I had been without a PCP for several years so when LBMD opened I scheduled a consult with their Nurse Practitioner, Anna Spoelhof. Their women's health membership-based primary care approach allows them to really invest in their patients. When seeing previous practitioners, appointments have been 10 minutes, where here my first appointment was over an hour long. She took time to listen to my health history and come up with evidence based recommendations to meet my health goals. Simply an amazing Doctor. It's very rare we as women find OBGYN's or any Doctor for that matter who takes pride in what He or she does. A Doctor, who actually cares and take his or her time with each individual patient. I am VERY thankful to say that I have found a true blessing and I call her Dr. Birkholtz. She is: Patient, kind, understanding, honest (I prefer to hear the absolute truth), and Dr. B., is serving the honest truth. Dr Burkholz is very professional yet comforting and easy to talk to. She helps not only with medicine but also with a focus on education. She was my anchor during a recent time in need.

Dr. Birkholtz has changed my life! I came to see Dr. Laurie a couple years back with several health issues. Some of which I have dealt with my entire life. After meeting with her, I explained I'd prefer not to use pills/medicine if possible and what I would like to have happen. WELL, she not only led me to better health naturally, she exceeded all my expectations with things I never thought possible for myself. I understand not all medical issues can be fixed this way, that being said, what was most important to me was the time and interest she invested in myself and my health. I've never had a doctor sit with me for the amount of time she did, and truly listen to what I was saying. Dr. B has been my doctor now for over two years and I have referred SEVERAL friends her way. Ladies - she is a master of our very complex body and can help! Uncomfortably, menopause (pre/post), sexual issues - ALL THE LADY things - she is SO helpful, understanding and knowledgable. Her practice is full of strong women helping other strong women. I could go on and on.....She's accessible, kind, super smart, experienced and a REALLY great doctor :)

Dr. Birkholz, is the absolute best and she actually cares for her patients and their well-being.

I will be forever grateful that I met Dr Birkholz. I had a female problem serious for over 2 years. My Primary could find nothing wrong and did swabs and said all is ok. IT WAS NOT OK!! Finally made an appointment with Dr Birkholz. She listened to me and almost immediately had a diagnosis for me...but wanted to take precautions that perhaps something else was going on so did a biopsy to be sure. Her diagnosis was correct and I am finally free of my symptoms which were terrible to say the least. I have something that is not common and I have to give her even more credit for not throwing my Primary under the bus..as she said ..this is something they don't see very often if ever so she was not surprised he did not recognize what I had. I cannot say enough kind words about this Physician she was compassionate very knowledgeable took her time with me she did everything a great Dr does and that is what she is a great Dr. I would recommend highly to anyone.

I have had a Dr Birkholz as my physician for a year and find her very helpful. She has always answered my questions thoroughly and explained different ways of approaching treatment. I think she is great!

I have had Dr. Birkholz as a physician for 7 years. Caring, thorough, knowledgeable. She has helped me through health problems when I had no clue what to do. She has been so thorough and immediately knew what to do. I appreciate her.

I was a patient of Dr. Birkholz and had her as my primary care physician for several years. I left and found another doctor because I did not feel confident in the care she provided. I was still ill after an urgent care visit. When I went to see her for the RECOMMENDED follow up (per the urgent care doctor) she was clearly exasperated and asked why I had come back because she said there was nothing more she could do for me.

My experience with this doctor...RUN!!

I have switched to Dr. Depree & LOVE her! Unfortunately I have to agree with the many people who have been put off by Dr. Birkholz's demeanor and I am glad I made the switch. She challenged me at every turn, refused to listen to my symptoms and basically told me that she was tired of having women coming in and complaining all the time. WHAT? Dr. Depree is the exact opposite - very kind and a great listener who is willing to work WITH her patients!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Birkholz for several years and I'm now moving to another doctor. The staff is very good from my point of view. Dr. Birkholz is competent yet lacks the engagement and bedside manner others have commented on. I like confidence but her arrogance and condescending tendencies persist.

She is a FAMILY physician, (can't expect much) I normally go to Internists or DOs, I am considering another primary care physician. I sense a lack of thoroughness and yes bedside manner is lacking. Her PA has a better bedside manner. And should you happen to cancel an appointment more than once, you are faced with the threat the doctor may drop you as a patient. I find the medical community in West Michigan inferior. You can't get care in a timely manner. It's socialized medicine.

Unfortunately the above reviewer is correct about being arrogant. She was obviously threatened by my knowledge on a certain subject and became rude and insulting. Not sure she's in it for the right reasons.

I am very satisfied with the care I received from Dr. Laurie and her staff.

Terrible beside manner. I felt zero kindness or compassion. She seemed very arrogant and talked down to me.

Dr Birkholtz is very kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. She goes the extra mile to provide overall health, healing and fitness. She teaches with every opportunity which helps you understand the full scope of her care for you. She and her office staff are excellent and expedient at answering, returning calls and providing needed care. Highly recommended.

One would think that as a 'womens health' doctor she would have a little more compassion. That was not my experience. I certainly hope her medical skills are better.

Extreamly personable, great 'bedside manor' Dr. Laurie Bailey takes the time to EXPLAIN details of what may be the problem and helps to identify the source and solution of the problem. She has EXCELLENT STAFF. I relocated to Wisconsin from another state and I have NEVER had such good medical care. I liken the follow up and care to what I remmembe ras a child in the 1960's. She is excellent.

I had been referred to this doctor from a nurse after injuring myself. The office was able to squeeze me in and thank goodness because this doctor is really one of the most patient centered I have had. She really listened to me well and went out of her way to help. I've spoken with other people that have gone to her and have heard from them as well about how knowledgeable and patient centered she is. She is a breath of fresh air to anyone who's had to deal with doctors lacking in bedside manner! HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!
