Dr. John Tew is a brilliant neurosurgeon. He did my surgery in 2012 and gave me my life back. I researched dozens of neurosurgeons before I found Dr Tew and read his impressive background. He has a quiet intelligent nature and handled my hours long surgery with great care. My life soon went from nearly being bed-bound to fulltime work. I didn't stop searching until I found him after many disappointing visits with other doctors who told me many things I did not want to hear. Dr. Tew not only gave me hope, but with surgery he gave me my life back. I am forever grateful.

Dr Tew gave me my life back when I was nearly bed-bound from chiari. I had seen dozens of doctors who didn't really know what to do--even top specialiasts at Ohio State had old fashioned ways of handling my disorder. Dr. Tew used a brilliant technique in surgery and gentle hands to operate. I went from no life to back to work. It was a miracle. His quiet intelligent nature and impeccable background make you realize you're in good hands. God bless him.

He is beyond great. Had an nerve disorder that no one else even had the slightest clue. A few phone calls. Some faxing back and forth and we were set for a exam. The next day the surgery was done. The problem fixed and never returned. He is truly a gifted special surgeon and person. For ever has my gratitude.

Dr. Tew was simply outstanding. I had seen over 15 different doctors in a 3 year period for nerve issues on tge left side of my face. None of these doctors had a clue. Try this. Try that. After a conversation from the Assistant US General Surgeon one afternoon he pointed me to Dr. Tew. 20 minutes on the phone and he knew exactly what the problem was and how it fix it. My blood vessels were tapping on the nerve on the brain stem that controlled the left side of my face. Very tricky surgery to perform. Less than 100 people a year world wide had this problem. Set the entire operation up on the phone. Meet with him on Monday afternoon and surgery Tuesday morning. (Takes 7 hr) . Boom the twitch was gone. Cannot say enough good things about this gentleman. I had Dr. Tew in 1984. I was more than satisfied with him and his honesty with me. My problem was corrected. If I thought I had to have surgery again, I might consider going to him again from out-of-state.

Dr. John Tew performed my surgery for pain relief for Trigeminal Neuralgia in 2010. I could never find the words to express my gratitude. I came to him with the most excruciating pain I’ve ever experienced. I left his office pain free and continue to be pain free 9 years later. Awful! Condescending and not willing to treat my specialty which I was told he would. Asked why I was there and said He didn't know. Told me to see my primary DR for med management when thats why I was there, my meds no longer work. Complete waste of time. Said I should see a nutritionist for my facial pain Trigeminal neuralgia! ! Needs to retire. No bedside manner AT ALL!!

After radiation failed and other surgeons refused to operate on the tumor in my husband's spine (location inside the 1st cervical segment was too difficult), my husband was given 3 - 5 months to live (depended on the doctor). Dr. Tew agreed to see him; was completely upfront about possible negative outcomes; insisted that we talk to our pastor and each other before deciding; and agreed to do the surgery (early 2013). It was highly successful. He's alive & functioning (2016).
