My daughter was diagnosed with bulimia by Cincinnati Children’s and was set with a treatment plan. During her stay, the attending was replaced with Dr Mitan who proceeded to cancel everything previously agreed to and was going to send her home since “there was nothing wrong with her”. All of this was done without speaking to us. Her staff reached out to us after hours and explained that they disagreed with her and urged us to fight. Her decision was reversed and the treatment plan proceeded as before. Several months later, our daughter was accepted into a residential care facility for her disorder and I met with Dr Mitan to discuss everything that needed to happen. During this meeting, Dr Mitan was the epitome of rude. - We were accused of “telling the facility what they wanted to hear” in order to get her admitted - She flat out told us that Cincinnati Children’s never diagnosed her with an ED. When I pointed to specific members of her staff that DID, her response was “no they didn’t “. - Any argument was met with “since you know better than I do, I’ll just be quiet” - Since my daughter involuntarily purges, she has been unable to take prescribed medications, which Dr Mitan staff knew. When she heard this she immediately wiped her medication list from MyChart without even a word, which was how we tracked the medication she was able to take for other doctor visits Don’t get me wrong. Her staff is wonderful, helpful and caring. Dr Mitan is not. Her goal is to be the smartest one in the room. She gave an inaccurate diagnosis, a poor treatment plan (no individualized care), and had horrible bed side manner (she didn’t listen, cut me off, and refused to explain treatment to me). I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Saw Dr. Mitan and she was incredibly rude. She told me to be quiet at one point when I was explaining something, and when I asked a question to clarify something she said "I'm only halfway done giving advice." She has horrible manners. She was rushed and very clearly annoyed that we were there, saying nastily "I'm not sure what the problem is here. I'm not sure why you're here." I hope no one else has this treatment, but we will never be going back to her department. We left feeling defeating and unheard. Literally the worst experience with a "professional" I've ever had. Incredibly sharp and caring doctor. She helped diagnose our daughter's rare condition when others with the same condition spend years or decades trying to find an answer.

We absolutely loved meeting Dr Mitan today! She made what would usually be a dreaded first time visit to Children’s, a very positive experience. My 13.5 year old daughter’s Teen Health visit was not rushed and Dr Mitan made my daughter laugh several times during the visit. Dr. Mitan and her resident answered our endless questions and set our family down the right path. The 2 month wait for a new patient visit was definitely worth it and we look forward to seeing Dr Mitan again!! We absolutely loved meeting Dr Mitan today! Absolutely rude. Told me to be quiet when explaining something regarding my son. She cut me off when I asked a clarifying question and said she was only halfway through her advice. Told us she wasn't sure why we're there and was clearly annoyed we had wasted her time. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a "professional." We will not be returning to her care.

Absolutely horrible manners and incredibly rude. Told me to be quiet and when I asked a question to clarify something she cut me off, saying she was aonly halfway through her advice. She said she didn't know why we were even there and she didn't see what the problem was. Avoid this "professional" at all costs. She was truly atrocious.

Dr. Mitan misdiagnosed me with a life threatening irregular heartbeat. She also had horrible bed side manner. She cut me off when I was speaking, didn’t listen to what I was saying, and even told me to get out of her office when I disagreed with her (even though I ended up being correct). And she failed to accurately explain my medical conditions/treatment options. Overall my visit with her did more harm than good, I urge you to find a different doctor.

Dr. Mitan has been wonderful with my daughter.

Simply put, she saved my life. She fought for me, took away the option of slowly wasting away.
