Jonathan W. Agins

Dr Agins is a professional, honest, thorough Dr. The clinic is busy and takes good care of patients. Dr. Rhodes, the surgeon is equally on top of it and clear. I think some people are just difficult and when I read reviews that they feel the Dr is rude I think thats unfair. These Dr's have to deal with all types of personalities and dispositions while trying to treat the patient's health issues. These Dr's are busy but thorough. Give you all the information and options but you have to make your own decisions, they can't make it for you. They can do their job but not yours.

He takes amazing care of my wife who has had countless kidney stones, the largest being 10mm. Truly great to see him care for her so well and quickly

I came here because of blood in my urine. Dr. Agins is a no nonsense straight up guy! He didn't waste any time, sent me right away for a c-t scan to make a proper diagnosis, then follow up at his office all with-in ten days. He wanted to do camera look through urethra for bladder/prostate check. I joked that he looked my age 62, and if he had any problems. His response was great. He is a great person just trying to do his job at the best of his ability. I have great confidence in him, and you must realize he is trying to do the best for you. Thankyou.

Was referred by my own doctor who knew him & said Dr Agins liked Battlestar Galactica so if I could open with that it would break the ice. Agins walked in unsmiling, coldly and when I commented on Battlestar Galactica he neither smiled nor replied in any way. Just a dead silence. He sat down and immediately told me that I NEEDED to sit down because it made HIM uncomfortable for me to stand. Never occurred to him that I was having testicular pain and it was uncomfortable to sit. It seemed from the start he had decided I was a waste of his time. Have been suffering testicular and other pains for 4 months and saw two other urologists who did not help and my doctor thought he could help me. He simply said there was nothing he could do and saw no point in doing exams. Then said he would do a testicular exam just in case. He began but the moment I flinched he threw up his hands and said oh we're just not going to do this. I was flabbergasted at his unfriendliness and lack of professionalism. He left the room for a moment to get me a referral, and my husband called because he had to come get me when I was ready. I heard Dr Agins coming back in. He looked right at me as I said goodbye to my husband but he turned and dashed back out the door and when I walked in the hall I saw him go into another exam room to another patient as if to punish me for being on the phone. His staff was extremely friendly and I really like them but I cannot adequate express my disappointment and Dr Agins himself. Don't trust don't go here, pissed me off acted like a jerk, He did not let me finish speaking, he made his own conclusions about my situation. I had psa testing done never gave me results, and this doctor told me oh I looked at your paperwork it was all normal. I hope it's true, He did not listen and kept saying this is bladder problems. I will be asking to be referred to a Dr. That will listen and care. Seems to be annoyed by you asking questions.

Dr Jonathan Agins provided me with the most unprofessional experience I ever had at a physician’s office. This doctor actually pulled his mask down (against Covid policies) to tell me that "I was f**king rude to use my cell phone in his office". In addition, his receptionist discusses patient's diagnosis in the waiting room for everyone to hear. A blatant HIPPA violation. The whole office was rude but Dr. Agins leads by example. There was a lot more issues that I can’t express in the amount of characters remaining. My entire detailed complaint is being sent to Press Gainey (or network equivalent) and every physician review website I can identify. Once again, beyond unprofessional and disappointing. This should be 0 stars.

Excellent! Been seeing him for 13 years. I appreciate his bedside manner. No B.S. Lets the patient help decide the treatment plan. Unfortunately, his assistant, Maira, has an attitude that reflects badly on the rest of the office staff.

Dr. Agins and his staff acted like elitists healthcare people versus kind caring healthcare professionals. I was kicked out of the office because my wife became upset at their treatment of her. She was kicked out of the office - when she was totally excluded from being with me. Yes she yelled but it is because they were rude and acting superior. No one would talk with her and she became upset. The demeanor and actions of Dr. Agins and his staff show they do not truly care about their patients. They exclude the family to be involved in any part of the patients care and although this situation could have been avoided if the staff and doctor just talked with my wife - their attitude in customer service healthcare is awful. There are many other doctors providing great healthcare and customer service who know how to talk with patients and family. They don't exclude family due to Covid fear! Don't go here for your care.

My husband is very pleased with his interaction with Dr. Agins. However, I as the wife, am very disappointed with trying to schedule a surgical procedure. Even though the scheduler herself called a week ago (and we missed the call as we were at an appointment with oncologist at Mayo.) we cannot now get a call back to schedule the procedure . I have left 6 messages over 6 days as she is never available to schedule the procedure. I have explained to the person taking the message that my husband's chemo is being postponed until after the procedure ordered by Dr. Agins and she says that has been passed on the the scheduler. About to give up and go elsewhere!

Well ,when I came to Dr. Agins office he was refereed to by my insurance company after an angry call because I had just came out of the emergency room and could not see my regular doctor to several weeks! I needed help now! Thank God they sent me to him when they did! He fixed my problem after extensive testing we found my prostate was the size of a red ripe tomato....no lie! Always getting infections and so he fix me and now I can Pee like a 20 yr old!!!!! I can also get it up after 12 yrs of nothing! He has fix the sick feeling in my gut because I couldn't completely drain my balder! Thanks to an angle of an assistant who help me thru a very difficult time! I am forever grateful for your expertise.

I have been treated by Dr. Agins for kidney stones for the past 6 years and have found him to be not only personable but most important very competent and a true expert in his field. He takes time to explain everything pertaining to your particular problem and if you have to have a procedure performed this is the doctor you want to do it. I highly recommend him to anyone. I was very disappointed when I left his office. He did not let me finish speaking, he made his own conclusions about my situation. I had testing done at a different place, and this doctor told me oh I looked at your paperwork it was all normal. That was not true I was treated with medication for what he stated was normal results. He did not listen and kept saying this is not a kidney problem, without knowing all my situation. I will be asking to be referred to a Dr. That will listen and care.

I'm a new patient yesterday. He was short and curt did not let me speak or explain my issues. Just kept saying I was normal well he hadn't spoken to me yet. I wanted to ask a personal question I was on the table with his assistant taking ultra sound and he would not come back into room asked me to tell question out the examine room into hallway. Very bad bedside manner. I won't return. Be was not concerned at all didn't care that I was in his office.

Waited 47 minutes longer than appt time. Office staff hurried us thru signing 12 pages because they were going to lunch. Not only will they not do the procedures after stating they would, but they shredded our personal records (600 pages) after we instructed them not to) within 2 days of doctor's review and 1 day of calling to pick up. This is inexcusable unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND VALLEY UROLOGIC ASSOCIATES, and friends of ours no longer go there either due the rudeness of Dr. Agins.

I have always felt comfortable at Valley Urological Office. The staff is friendly, professional and understanding. Once I was unable to cancel an appointment because I was flying in from Asia. Upon explaining the situation I was not biilled for a missed appointment. The one time I needed to see the Dr. urgently I had no problem. Dr. Agins is knowledgeable and explains all aspects and options clearly and is easy to speak with. have recommended him to my friends/family and will continue to do so
