Dr. Jonathan Geoffrey Kelling

I was referred to Dr. Kelling by my orthopedic surgeon for arthritis pain in my neck. He was able to substantially reduce the pain after just a few visits. Nice caring office.

I called B/4 booking appt. My 1 specific question: 'Does Dr Kelling have experience with Zoster Sine Herpete?" (aka 'Internal Shingles', extremely painful, progressively ravages spine, joints & organs.) Jennifer put me on hold to ask Dr K. His answer, 'Yes, there are some things we can do to help you.' My 1st question during appt: 'What experience do you have with Zoster Sine Herpete?' Dr K: 'NONE.' (WHAAAA? So he wasn't honest upfront.) Me: 'How can you help me?' Dr K: 'A Lumbar Medial Branch Block (Lidocaine-based injection) as a test.' [One set = 6 injections lower spine, done twice to prove efficacy b/4 doing the longer-lasting Lumbar Radiofrequency Ablation.] Me: 'Is imaging done first to assess my spine and where to inject?' Dr K:, 'No, we just inject where it hurts" WHAAAAAA? 12 INJECTIONS in my spine to test - with NO guidance & admittedly NO EXPERIENCE w/ my condition?!?! Spinal injections have risks. Beware of Dr K's One-Size-Fits-All approach: INJECTIONS. We deserve better!

After having a “Root Canal” soon after , I became Horribly n A PAIN I had ever in my life! After So Many Dentist Appt.’s & them removing teeth to Find the Origin of the Pin trip teeth . Then ; I was finally given a Ride to “ Loma Linda Hospital “ where They Immediately Removed A wire object” I was told , as I was Under A lot of Pain medicine . I was told I had a “MAXILLARY NERVE DAMAGE .” - in which there was Nothing they Could do about the Horrible Pain - I can Ony DESCRIBE AS SUCH ; It’s as Tho’ Someone is Stabbing a Screwdriver thru My Top -Gum thru behind My Nose to My Right Eye behind My Right Eye ( any movement of my Eye causes Pain ) to the top of My Head. The Constant STABBING , Throbbing , pounding Pain - I try every day to Pray My Way thru the Day ! I’m Anxious about Meeting Dr. Keeling , because My Injury is So Rare , that When I share What has Happened to Me , I usually get a Question thrown at Me - “ Really? This happened to You?” It’s an Awful ????, Horrible Injury that I Did Nothing to Deserve This Kind of Suffering , but I Believe People in “ General” are Very - Good - I Refuse to Give Up on “HOPE “ I hope to God , this Dr. Can Help Me???? My experience at Southern California Spine & Joint Institute was better than any specialist I have ever been to. They were able to get me an appointment the very next week and once I arrived I only waited a few minutes before they took me back to see the doctor. Everyone was very helpful and kind, I highly recommend.

Dr Kelling and the entire staff are wonderful. Everyone is friendly, the wait is minimal making the visit quick and easy.

First, this review is not about my perceived competency of Dr. Kelling. He has helped me successfully several times. This is a warning. There is now an intermediary between the patient & the MD. He is called a physicians assistant. He is also, I think, is competent. What bothers me about this office is what I perceive being taken advantage of. On my 1st visit, I saw the PA. In less than 5 min he asked me to get an MRI. I got one. When the test results were available I received a phone call from the office to schedule another PA visit. I asked "To have a procedure? NO, you need to see him explain the results (Q:? can he do this over the phone- NO. Then I suppose there might be a procedure coming (I've had several procedures in the same area over the last 15 years). I believe I (and Medicare) are being taken advantage of. Again, this a not denigrating Dr. Kelling or the office staff. I think it's wasting my time & money uselessly. This has always been a TWO visit procedure not 4 visits

This man literally saved my life. I was being told only surgery would take care of my problem by top notch Drs. in San Diego. Moved to Murrieta & was put in touch w/him by wonderful neighbors! Had medial nerve block & facet joint injection that made me a candidate for ablations. The best!!!

Where do I begin???? I have been receiving Lower Spine Injections from several Doctors for the last 15+ years.... Dr. Jonathan Kelling has been treating me for my lower back pain for the last 5 years... I am happy to report that in my personal experience, no other Doctor/Staff can compare to Dr. Kelling and his Team. The "High Level" of Professionalism and Comfort from the entire Staff is sincerely appreciated....it's obvious they truly care about their Patients. Every time I arrive for my scheduled appointment, there is virtually NO waiting time.....as you know, this is a HUGE plus for everyone. Once I am called back to see the Staff or the Doctor, all my questions or concerns are addressed in the most respectful manner!!! Prior to the actual Procedure, Dr. Kelling is quick to make sure I am comfortable, and always puts my mind at ease. Dr. Kelling and his assistant Heather will actually talk to me during the Injection Process to make sure I am doing okay, and that the Procedure is going well. In just a few short minutes, the Procedure is completed, and I am up and walking out of the office "PAIN FREE". I actually look forward to my semi-annual visits to Dr. Kellings office. Dr. Kelling is AWESOME! Years of living with chronic pain, and I thought there was no hope. That is, until I had my consultation with Dr. Kelling. I first met with him and he listened to all of my symptoms and put my on a plan to hopefully regain some of my quality of life that I had known prior to being struck with chronic low back pain. I am happy to report, that Dr. Kelling has helped alleviate most, if not all of my pain! Thank you, Dr. Kelling!

This guy is a magician!!! I banged my knee up at the gym, could barely walk, certainly couldn't bend my knee! Went to see him off of a friends recommendation, was in his office maybe 10 minutes, he gave me a quick, completely painless shot directly into my knee and minutes later I walked out as if nothing was wrong... I was blown away! Highly recommend Dr. Kelling!!!

Wonderful staff and the doctor was so helpful. He wanted to really address what was causing my pain, not just give me a bunch of pills. Thank you, Dr. Kelling!

With elderly parents , now deceased , my wife and I have visited countless doctors. I have been suffering from extreme lower back pain for two years. Had surgery performed several years ago by a now retired doctor. Thank God for Dr. Kelling. I’ve never met a doctor so concerned and well-versed in his field. I put all my faith in the doctor and his staff and would do it again in a heartbeat! Doctors like him don’t come around like him anymore. Bless you and your family . Thanks is not enough ??

Dr.Kelling is absolutely amazing! I had been going to his office for my spine for awhile while I was active duty and he has tried different things to help. Now the VA allows me to see him which I’m relieved about. He is very understanding and I was terrified that I was going to have to explain everything to a new doctor and start the elimination process of what might work all over again. When he called to confirm my appointment I didn’t know it was the same Dr. Kelling until I was saying “I’ve seen a Dr. Kelling before” and he just said “Yeah I know, it’s me” lol Thanks Dr. for being who you are! I am 66 years old. On and off for many years I have lower back issues. I recently stressed that condition to the point of requiring immediate attention. I contacted Dr.Kellings office and was able to see him within 2 days. That in itself was unique. I began treatment which ultimately lead to the application of a device to address chronic stenosis. Dr. Kelling performed short procedure. My back issues have stabilized. This is solid Dr. and a good man. I am 66 years old. On and off for many years I have lower back issues. Dr Kelling has impeccable knowledge and a very caring manner. I am very impressed! If I could give 10 stars I would. My mom and I are patients of his and he has been beyond understanding and caring with the different health challenges we have faced the last couple months. His knowledge and bed side manner are top notch and a rarity these days. To top it off his staff is amazing! His MA Marco is kind and accommodating. If you are looking for a pain management doctor he is it. I have done my research and I wouldn’t go to anybody else in the Valley. If I could give 10 stars I would. If I could give 10 Stars I would. My mom and I are patients of Kelling and he has been very caring and understanding with all the different health challenges we’ve had. His knowledge and bed side manner is top notch and a rarity these days. To top it off his staff is amazing. His MA Marco is kind and accommodating. If you are looking for a pain management Dr he is it. I’ve done my research and would not go anywhere else in the valley.

He has really helped me with my back and hip problems. I am 87 and he is the best Dr. I have had and I have been to several for my back problems. Very short waiting time. Explains my problems and treatment very well.

ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY AND GET YOU ON STEROIDS OR SURGERY! I had a pinched nerve in the lower back and could barely walk. He listened to me for about 3-5 minutes, charges $75 copay, gives me two options and sends me to MRI. The two options were as follows: A) steroid shot; B) surgery. In pain i left his office. Went to chiropractor who fixed me in 5 minutes. pain was gone! Charged me $40 and gave me a list of exercises to do. NO SURGERY! 4-5 days later all the symptoms were gone, no surgery!

Dr. Kelling is really an exceptional doctor. Not only do I have 100% confidence in his care, he is extremely personable, as well. I highly recommend him!

As a geriatric patient , Dr Kelling chose to do a state of the art technique in order to minimize my pain and not compromise my ongoing medical condition. He explained the procedure , performed and it was a great success. He was attentive to my needs and compassionate throughout my procedure and follow up. An A+ doctor and his MA Marco

Exceptional Dr. with excellent bedside manner, amazing kindness and bedside manner explaining everything g in detail and addressing all concerns. He is thorough and brilliant in his knowledge and skills. Amazing Doctor and staff!

Very impressed by him. He didn't just force drugs on me and he tried to get to the root of the problem.

Dr. Kelling has been taking care of me for the last six months and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is so caring, compassionate and understanding. He has always been there for me and does whatever is necessary to relieve the severe pain I have endured. His assistant Marco is the perfect partner for him. They make an excellent team. Thank you Dr. Kelling for taking such good care of me.

Today was the second time my husband saw Dr. Kelling so we wanted to give an update since our first review. On the first review we gave Dr. Kelling all five stars. If we could we would give him 10 stars. In the field of medicine he is very refreshing. He cares, he listens and he is there for his patient. Thank you Dr. Kelling. He really cares about what I am going through and listens to me. He doesn't want to just give me a bunch of drugs. I had a couple of injections and I feel much better!
