Joseph Caleb Mitro

Choosing Dr. Mitro as my OBGYN is, without a doubt, the best decision I could have made. He and his entire team could not be better. He listens, communicates, and treats patients with compassion and care. I had a high-risk pregnancy and ended up needing a C-section. The entire experience was positive and I cannot recommend him enough!

Dr. Mitro is very caring and listens to what I want. He gives me options and explains things. He did a great job on the surgery I had and I felt very comfortable.

Had an appointment at this office I never got to make. I received a phone call the day of asking if I could come in earlier, to which I did. Got there early only to be told 5 minutes from my appointment they needed my group ID number from insurance to be seen. I forgot my card at home, and instead of working with me, and letting me send the group number later, the appointment was cancelled. I even prefilled out the online paperwork and I was told they didn’t see if, and they had me redo it. If this is how they “help” set up new patients, I probably dodged a bullet. He is the best! He makes you feel very comfortable. He is very professional with everything that he does. He listens to all of my concerns and problems. I am so happy that I found him.

Absolutely amazing.! I started seeing Dr.Mitro in 2020 when I found out I was pregnant from the very first appointment until now I haven’t had one issue or complaint. I was induced at 4am per my choosing, he came down first thing in the morning and every couple of hours in between his clinic the rest of the day. I was in labor for 13 hours and didn’t once have a c section mentioned to me. I also went with no epidural and my nurse was absolutely outstanding. Such an amazing experience and facility. Definitely recommend him. I’ve also had issue with the birth controls I’ve chosen and not one rude comment or anything during the changing process now on my third birth control. Absolutely amazing.! He’s awful. He has been regularly messing up my cousins medicine and blood work while she is pregnant. She has now lost 86 pounds while under his care and has not gotten any better in the past 2 months. She was then prescribed blood thinners WHILE PREGNANT. Also the medicine was not meant for pregnant women. He’s ignorant and not a person you want to go to. He’s awful. Had the worst experience. I had my baby 4 years ago, and I'm still scarred by the way I was treated by Dr. Mitro while giving birth to my daughter. I will NEVER step foot in that hospital again thanks to him. So if you're looking for a cold hearted doctor that seems to have more important priorities other then delivering your child so much that he tries to push a C-section because 11 hours of labor is just "too long for him to wait, because he had things to do at home" then he's the right doc for you! And that wasn't even the worst of what he did, or said that day, but im being nice not posting the rest..... Had the worst experience. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He did not test me for uti/yeast infection (which was the whole reason for the apt). Then sent me to a DLO to pee in another cup ( I peed in one at his office, but he "looked" at it and it "looked" fine so he did not send it off). When I got the results back for that he said it came back negative and I should probably just go see a primary care physician. ( I would have given 0 stars, but it would not let me post unless I gave at least 1) Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I was referred to Dr. Mitro by my primary care physician because I was seeking a new OBGYN. The moment I walked in I new I made the right choice. The staff is friendly. Gina one of Dr. Mitro's nurses is so kind and encouraging. Dr. Mitro is very nice. He listens to what you have to say and he is very accepting when I explained I wanted to continue exploring naturopathic medicine as a treatment option. The best OBGYN at Canadian Valley. Dr. Mitro is very kind and genuinely cares. He listens and includes you in all decision making. He addresses every appointment proactively and with urgency. I’ll never go anywhere else! The office staff and nurses are just as friendly.

I absolutely loved Dr. Mitro! He is the very first doctor I have ever had (whether OB or otherwise), that I felt really genuinely listened to me. He was awesome during delivery, and my postpartum checkups. Highly recommended!!

Very nice unless you do everything his way. He gave me zofran for nausea, after looking it up I asked for something else because the FDA was no longer recommending it stating it caused birth defects. He was very condescending stating he had used it for many years without an issue. I decided to change doctors and a few months later the zofran lawsuits were advertising on tv.

I am very disappointed in Dr. Mitro's staff. I was running late so I called ahead. Was told that if I was 15 minutes late, they'd have to reschedule. I stepped up to the reception desk as the clock ticked over to 16 minutes late. I was told it was "policy" and had to reschedule. A few days later they called to postpone my appointment, I expressed my displeasure in the initial rescheduling and was told repeatedly that it was "policy." Hiding behind policy for 1 minute!

Very nice and I was nervous at first and I was able to meet him and talk to him before we went ahead with my appointment. I was very satisfied with the care he gives and how awesome his nurses are!
