Dr Joshua Alpert is the kindest most caring orthopedic doctor I have ever seen. He takes the time you need, so very empathetic and concerned and makes you feel like you’re his only patient. The whole team from the doctor to the PA, nurses, and the whole management team are absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to interact with. The staff is so pleasant and the office is spotless and cozy. The waiting area is very welcoming and they are fast and efficient in getting your information and never making you wait to see the doctor. I will always be a returning patient to this office! God bless the Fox Valley Orthopedic team!

Unfortunately VERY disappointed with the Service Provided as a patient. Taking care of the Ankle Sprain injury since December 5 and keeping up to date on how I am doing, how I am following my concerns and ailments in my Ankle and Leg from beginning in each of the appointments But today I asked them for the format for the disability, they denied it to me because I was not going to continue visiting anymore since for such a long time Having probles and Today they deigned to want to refer me to the knee issue that they apparently wanted to HELP ME. what I said was not because that had been letting know for a long time and I'm worse. to keep visiting the office for the same. That gives them the opportunity to refuse to fill out the Disability Form. That explains a lot, they just WANT to have the patients for as long visits

Dr. Joshua read through my previous report for the same problem years earlier before he came in to the exam room. He then explained the current x-rays with me and listened carefully to my explanation of my current condition, and carefully laid out what his thoughts were and my options.

I arrived at my assigned appointment 15mins ahead of time to complete paperwork. To then wait a total of 1.5 hours to see the physician .No one came to enter the room to give me status and when I asked why was there a significant wait, an hour into my visit, I was told I was next. To wait another 30mins. Not a single person person including the doctor or his assistants apologized for the unreasonable delay. It was absolutely rude and inconsiderate of them. Oh, an his time spent with me was a mere 5mins(if that) and even then he lacked an explain to the next steps. I will never return here.

I have seen Dr. Alpert in the past and I must say, this visit was the best! He was aware of my needs, explained my options very clearly, and most of all very caring.

The visit was awesome Kelly and the entire staff took great care of me, the surgery was painless, and a breeze, if I ever break anything again, or anyone need recommendations, I will highly recommend seeing Dr. Albert, and visiting the Fox Valley

Good as always! Answered my questions and concerns.

Dr. Alpert and Alyssa (SP?) diagnosed my right shoulder with inflammation due to some recent activity and prescribed an anti inflammatory. I'll be picking it up today and hopefully it does the trick. Overall wait was a little over an hour but I was a walk in patient.

Dr. Alpert has been my orthopedic doctor for over ten years. He is knowledgeable and caring. He listens to me. He has always been willing to work with me when I’ve had concerns!

Quick diagnosis. In and out in an hour.

Dr. Alpert had X-rays taken of my problem knee. He thoroughly explained what the X-rays showed and advised me accordingly.

Very professional, prompt courteous service by all the individuals involved. Made me feel like I made the right decision to make an appointment and see them. Treatment very effective walked in hurting walked out with no pain. Hope it continues.

The staff was helpful.

This was a followup visit. The good doctor had been treating me for osteo-arthritis of both knees. I had lubricant injected 3 months prior and this new lubricant requiring two separate visits had the best effect. The doctor is professional enthusiastic and truly cares about his patients. If you have knee problems this is the doctor to see.

Second time using Dr Alpert for an issue and once again a great experience! Don’t ever hesitate to go, you’ll be in good hands!

Dr Alpert was easy to talk to and took his time with my son and explained things to him in a way my so. understood it. He was kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

I could not be happier with the care I received at Fox Valley Ortho. The staff at the Elgin location were very helpful and attentive throughout my care there. I’m glad I chose to have Dr. Alpert repair my torn pectoralis major tendon after I tore it working out. I’d highly recommend him and this office to anyone one.

Dr. Alpert is great. I do have a complaint about how the organization works. I knew Dr. Alpert area of practice is shoulder (big bone) not hands. BUT when I tell the person on the phone the Dr. I want to see based on their specialty, they will not let me see that Dr. They say Dr. Alpert is your Dr. you have to see him. Then Dr. Alpert tells me I need to see a different Dr. and. an appointment is made for him. This has happened twice over the years. It is a waste of my time, Dr. Alpert time, and Medicare to not be able to go see the right Dr. On the first visit. A couple years ago I made an appt. with a Dr. There for an elbow problem. 2 days. Before the appt. The office called me and said I couldn't see him. Dr. Alpert was my Dr. and I had to see him, or go somewhere else ! Eventually I had surgery and the Dr. I first had the appt. with, helped on the surgery. This is not Dr. Alpert problem, this is an organization/ scheduler issue.

Doctor is always on time, absolutely listens to my issues and addresses with expertise & patience. Staff of friendly, office clean. Overall a positive experience each and everytime!

The staff are professional and courteous including the PA who did my initial assessment. She's very knowledgeable and explained the important points that I need. She discussed to me the options for the appropriate treatment for my issues to help me make a decision as to what I would like to do. Dr. Alpert is also nice & professional, helped me to be at ease to get my injection on my shoulder, which is my first time to have one on that area. Just one negative feedback is my appointment which was supposed to be 10:15am, but it took longer for me to get called, maybe around 45min to one hour, in spite of me completing the needed paperwork ahead of time, for new patients. If CD's are needed for my test results, I should have been instructed to come at least 30 min. before my appointment time. Dr Alpert is an excellent physician, who is kind and caring

Had an excellent visit with Dr Alpert for a knee issue which occured without trauma. Called for an appointment and got in to see Dr Alpert the very next day. Staff was courteous and punctional. All of the diagnostic equipment is available right in the facility, so no need to see practitioners outside of their office. An expert exam and opinion was provided by Dr Alpert and several treatment options were presented from the least invasive to injections. In the end, a joint decision was made to just wait and see on the knee since I did not have any prior issues with it. That was a reasonable cautious approach.

All staff were friendly and efficient. Wait time was minimal.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alpert for many years. He has that wonderful ability to listen, is extremely knowledgeable, and a great orthopedic surgeon as well as a great “shot giver”. Every suggestion he has made to improve my health has had positive results.

Dr Alpert was wonderful. Took his time and explained everything very well. He spoke clearly and slowly which was very much appreciated. Many times medical staff speak so quickly it is hard to take in the information. I would highly recommend Dr. Alpert to anyone needing orthopedic care.

We got in a few minutes after our scheduled appt. Dr Alpert and his assistant were great with my son.

Was ok however no conversation took place regarding my left hip which was indicated on the paperwork I filled out?! Office and support staff were great!! Got to my appointment on time but had to sit in waiting room for over an hour!

I called Dr. Alpert the day after I ruptured my patellar tendon in my knee. The pain was excruciating. Dr. Alpert was able to get me in quickly for surgery and got me started on the road to recovery within days where others advised me it would be weeks or a whole month out for me to get surgery done. He's very professional and more importantly knowledgeable about his profession. He takes the time to explain your situation and has advise to make you more comfortable. Horrible care of my daughter did not give full details of her injuries shown on MRI. Offered no pain management for a torn ACL and torn PCL. He did not listen to her and told her what he was not gonna treat before ever examining her. If zero was possible he earned it. If he couldn't provide accurate care he should have referred her out, I told her to seek another doctor, he has no bedside manners and dismissed my daughter's discomfort. It's never easy when your child gets hurt, but then when the same injury happens on the other knee, tramatic! Dr. Alpert was incredible in treating my son's torn meniscus the first time, he was so good we went back when he tore the other knee the second time. Warm, Competent, Attentive, Decisive

Was able to schedule an Appt. within 24hours of calling, the office staff and Dr. are friendly. Explained my type of fracture, what was needed to heal properly, and follow up care. They have two locations. I would recommend Dr.Alpert.

I adore this Man and his entire staff! I have been going there for many years for bad knees. Dr. Alpert has always been very helpful and willing to listen. He also repaired my husbands torn Achilles tendon years ago and did an outstanding job. Highly reccomend him and his staff.

Dr. Alpert is a great doctor. I would go back to him if need be. Only reason I rated 4 stars and not 5 is wait times can be rather long.

Everyone in this office is great. They are polite and professional. The issue I was having with my wrist was thoroughly explained to me, treatment was provided the same day of my visit. When I called the following day with a concern The doctor called me back immediately. The doctor, physician assistant, nurse and office staff are exceptional.

Dr. Alpert recently operated on me. Upon discovery of the torn muscle Dr. Alpert clearly laid out the benefits for performing surgery and the time line for recovery, providing me helpful information in preparation. Day of surgery, Dr. Alpert was thoughtful in reviewing what was ahead for me - which helped ease my mind. Upon completion of the surgery, Dr. Alpert has followed up routinely and my road to recover has been going as planned. Dr. Alpert and the team at Fox Valley have all been professional, responsive and first class throughout my interaction. Highest recommendation!

The service was great, after I finished all the paperwork which I thought was over kill and the wait to see the doctor was a bit long. Since I was in no hurry, I was satisfied with the visit. Both Joanna and Alyssa was great.
