I had a high risk pregnancy and Dr. Gladdin helped me through a safe pregnancy. I delivered with a C-Section and it was completely painless. The baby and I had a wonderful birth. He’s a great doctor. I am very grateful for him.

Dr. Stephen Gladdin has been my doctor for many years now. He has successfully delivered both of my children via c-section. He has a very kind bedside manner and goes the extra, extra distance to make sure the mother and baby are as healthy as can be. He has always answered all my questions and never rushed me. Dr Gladdin was very personable, knowledgable and articulate as well as grounded in his assessment of my condition. I went in for laparoscopic surgery. I did not know when I came out of the anesthesia though that something very wrong had happened and that I could not and should not move. My growth had ruptured while they were taking it out and I had ended up with major abdominal surgery. I never recovered my core strength. I was provided no follow up - did not know physical therapy was required nor was it recommended or prescribed. I truly get that I'm lucky to be alive. Still profoundly disappointed that I was not given the opportunity to know someone else (who I did not know at all) would be learning on me at my expense and doing the procedure instead of Dr Gladdin. Through what should have been a day procedure, I was in the hospital for a week. In short what I learned: doctors are tradespeople and like any other tradesperson you might hire, you need to closely manage their performance and be extremely clear in your expectations of the service you are expecting and closely manage service delivery. Ask tons of questions. Do your research and get more than one opinion. Be clear as well in what you need. Just as the floor person only knows floors, so it goes from my experience with doctors. I did all the above but did not ask who would be cutting me open and actually doing the procedure as opposed to just presiding. I think if Dr Gladdin had actually done the procedure, I would not be in the condition I'm in now over 10 years later. From the other reviews, I'm hopeful the doctor learned from my experience and no longer lets his colleagues practice on his patients. I did notice that he seems to have left that group where he was at the time of my incident. The best doctor I could ever ask for!!!

I’ve been going to Gladdin for couple of years now. He saved my life after discovering a cyst next to my uterus which made me lose a lot of blood.Something that other doctors couldn’t figure out . He follows up with you after blood work or any testing. Very Knowledgeable, attentive, and very professional.

Dr.Gladdin is the best! Always answers or returns my calls. Makes sure if you have any issues medically that it gets taken care. Always fits in emergencies and even when he is on vacation, he is still tending to patients. I’m a high risk patient this will be my 3rd time using Dr.Gladdin. I had my first pap smear a few years ago, I saw an OB/Gyn with whom I had a bad experience with. I decided to transition my care with Dr. Gladdin and he is the best! I cannot see myself going to a different doctor. He goes over everything with you, makes you feel comfortable and put you’re concerns first. Dr. Gladdin returns calls promptly, no matter what the issue is. His staff, Kathy, is the best. I highly recommend seeing him, you will not be disappointed!!! I've seen Dr. Gladdin for a few years and he has delivered 2 of my children. There was a few times when I had concerns during my pregnancies and Gladdin was quick to get back to me. He was also able to give me thorough answers and talk me down after I read too many WebMD posts. :) Kathy (support staff) is very friendly, it's nice to walk in and be greeted right away. Dr. Gladdin is the best doctor I've ever had. He is very kind, respectful, & he cares about his patients a lot. He delivered my baby girl 2 months ago. He did whatever he could to make sure I had a healthy pregnancy & a healthy baby. And he helped me with my weight loss, which made my blood sugars 100% normal. He is the absolute best!!!!! I had gotten diagnosed with endometriosis and Essentially i ended up having multiple surgeries and eventually he suggested to my fiance at time that he thought it was all mental. Eventually i did go see a different ob gyn who was able to give me oain relief and got to the root of the problem.I woukd not suggest him to any friends or family. I felt he was uncompassionate.

He is very down to earth, efficient and quick. He delivered my daughter and provided prenatal care for my twins. All are healthy and happy. Glad to have found him!

Worst Doctor I have ever met. He's a horrible human being!! I cant even share all on here b/c I'm limited to so many characters. But I do want to say that he just did w/e he wanted w/o even telling me b4 hand for a lot of it. I ended up with a c section bc it's what HE wanted & by the time I was aware of this plan it was too late and I had no choice. He was literally screaming at me in my face w/ a rm full nurses calling me a baby killer while I was having contractions. He was banned from my rm!

This doctor's office went out of their way to be obstructive in helping me obtain approval for my medication when it was denied by a new insurance carrier. I had only seen the doctor on perhaps 4 occasions, so my medical records could not have been that big and they wanted $35 to fax them to the insurance company. I was left to go two months without any medication and all my symptoms returned. They could not have cared less. I just needed my history not a sworn in testimonial. The best experience I have had! He was my doctor for my second and it was wonderful. He answered all my questions, always returned my phone calls and listened. You never had to wait long at all at the office and all the girls there are so nice. The delivery was more than I ever expected (c -section) he calmed my fears and was awesome! My scar is minimal and healed up so nicely ! Would recommend him to all!!! The best experience I have had! He was my doctor for my second and it was wonderful. I have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Gladdin. During my first pregnancy he always made sure to call me back and he never brushed off any of my concerns. I drive 45 minutes to see him and I will continue to stay in the Advocate Sherman network until I am done having children just so I can continue to have see him.

Dr. Gladdin is the best! I was nervous when we moved from downtown to the suburbs and I had to change OBGYN's. I had established trust with each doctor and starting over made my stomach churn! Dr. Gladdin was referred to me by my sister in law. He has been my MD for 5 years now, walked me through several procedures and delivered my son. He is one of the BEST! He personally calls you back with test results. I trust him 100%!

Total Nightmare. Good until last 3weeks pregnancy.Visits were ok,bit rushed,no exhaustive check ups. The 2nd to last regular visit,he showed some concern for the measuring of belly,told us everything wasFINE.Last regular visit (3days before due date)showed that same concern for measuring,not sure if it was ok or not!,measured 5 or 6 times not being sure of it being ok.Didn't do further check up.Sent us for ultrasound next morning:too late OUR BABY HAD NO HEAR BEAT :...( DON'T GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

I have never had a worse experience with a doctor. He was recommended to me by a friend so I went without looking at reviews first. So, it started with me going in for an IUD consultation. He examined me, said everything looked good. Told me to take some motrin before coming in for the implantation. I did. Three weeks pass, and i go back in for the implantation. When asked if I had been using condoms, I said "no" since I was on birth control. He refused to put in the IUD. When I got upset, he said "Well I didn't think I had to explain that to you, I just figured you knew." YOURE A DOCTOR. It's YOUR job to tell me things. I then had to wait a month and come back. So I come back and get it implanted, and its done. Then he says he wants me to get a pelvic ultrasound to make sure it's in correctly. I do. The results come back a few weeks later. He calls me and says nope, it is not in correctly. Then he says "Well you've been using condoms right so you should be fine." NO I HADNT BEEN BECAUSE IT WAS A PARAGUARD and he told me I could stop using condoms after a week. So i have a pregnancy scare. Thank God, I was not pregnant. He schedules me for a month down the road to get it removed. A month passes and I'm back for my removal. After waiting 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment, he sees me. He comes into the room and asks "So what brings you in today?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He couldn't even be bothered to read my medical chart. After I explain why I'm there, he begins the removal. Having an IUD inserted is extremely painful. So it was all for nothing and I have no choice but to remove it (also painful). He blamed it on my small cervix. I've had other IUDs just fine. He inserted it incorrectly, plain and simple. The IUD and multiple follow ups ran me $550 after insurance. The best part? He submitted the ultrasound to my insurance company as "routine wellness" and so it wasn't covered. I have a an additional $1200 bill for an ultrasound that needed to be done because HE did something incorrectly. I have been fighting with his office for the last month to resubmit it is medically necessary and as of yet they have not. I am calling his office multiple times a week to ask if they have done it. I am calling my insurance company multiple times a week to ask if he has done it. The company billing me is warning me that they are going to send me to collections soon if it isn't paid. This is ridiculious and I am beyond upset and fed up with him. Worst doctor ever, will never return and I am posting this review on every site I can. Beware. Dr. Gladdin is honestly my favorite doctor...EVER!! And I have seen many different doctors in many different specialties, but he has always been at the top of my list! His bedside manner is beyond amazing, he is always there to answer any questions I have and and he is just an overall great person! Dr Gladdin provides prompt and good care. He answers all my questions and gets back to me as soon as he sees my lab results. Pregnancy wise, he is a solo practitioner in his Randall Rd office and therefore you get to have the same consistent care throughout your pregnancy. Kathy the lady in the office, greets me by name when I come in for an appointment and is pretty friendly. My appointments were easily done by her too. Overall I would recommend the practice.
