Due to possible side effects from Cancer ChemoTherapy, I was sent to this pulmonary doctor for her checking my possible problem. Unfortunately, she was DETERMINED that there was only ONE alternative for me and spent 1 1/2 hours on my first visit giving me HUGE details on ILD, which she is totally convinced that I am suffering from, despite the only problem a VERY SMALL damage to the lower portion of my lungs. This was explained initially by my Oncologist as a SMALL side effect from my Chemo, but she did not think my lungs were highly damaged, or that it was progressing. Despite this, Dr. Bauer ONLY discussed the fact that this disease, when it progresses takes your life in 5 years. I had 2 tests, which both showed small damage to my lungs. This attitude stayed the same on my second visit(after the tests) and it is a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend her for people who have Chemo Side Effects, as she is too stubborn and negative.
