I would recommend that anyone seeking care read through these reviews with care. I am uncomfortable with the exchange I had with the doctor, and deeply disappointed in the experience I had with the office staff. I had a surgery scheduled with Dr. Boyd and cancelled as I would not be comfortable entrusting my care with them. I would not, in good conscience, recommend this office to another person without offering additional considerations. Context: * I found Dr. Boyd through a Reddit forum of OBGYN providers who believe in the autonomy of their patients and will perform sterilization procedures without the usual fight (already having kids/needing husband permission/35+/long psyche eval etc.). * I am not seeking pregnancy help, so I was not concerned about the attention and care that a pregnant woman would expect from their provider (evident in prev. reviews) - I was simply looking for a doctor to perform the standard yearly exams and to complete this one procedure. I saw the reviews about bedside manner but ultimately took the chance, as my needs were simple. * Dr. Boyd's office offers a medical records portal, online forms, and e-sign-in that is not set up nor formatted correctly which lends better to delay patient experience, not convenience it. It would work wonderfully for their offices if someone would simply *do* the set up. * Despite there being a medical portal, they still email you HIPAA forms via gmail, but will not return emails sent to the same address. * My experience was that the administrative staff regarded my presence as an intrusion, my questions as an annoyance, and any concerns, dismissively. (Though the nurse who drew blood was professional and personable.) * Dr. Boyd's office answering service does not take messages and there are several times during the day where the phone never picks up. * Dr. Boyd's offices did not call with any test results or explanation and the 'results posted' to the portal are brief and without context. * Dr. Boyd will introduce herself to you as someone who is 'loud and boisterous' and who 'doesn't always suit everyone' and, while bedside manner wasn't the biggest concern of mine, she should take into consideration the vulnerability of their patients - especially new clients - before making offhanded comments or facetious remarks about an individuals' body as they sit there, naked, on a table. Or worse - actively within stirrups. * Dr. Boyd did not open the floor to discuss other sterilization options besides the one I came in with, despite my inquiry. * My surgery consent form was a grainy photocopy of a photocopy of a form with typos. It is 2023 - you want me to let you cut open my body when you can't be bothered to operate a PDF? No. I will find another doctor. Exercise caution and review the testimonials to decide what level of comfort you have in pursuing this physician further. This was far too many strikes for me.

I, like many others, am a survivor of SA. Which to me, is something very important to notify any gyno doctors of, especially when it is your first go around with someone new. Did she ask? Of course not, but I did tell her at the beginning if the appointment. Dr. Boyd man handled me, she ripped open my gown to do a breast exam, then when finished she actually, legitimately pushed me back and threw my legs in the stirrups. She was so aggressive she made me bleed, then continued to say it was my fault. She disregarded my career choice, saying I do not belong working with children because of my hair and my tattoos, belittled my fiance, and had a lot of other rude remarks to say. The entire appointment with her in the room MAYBE lasted 7 minutes but felt like eternity. When I explained my situation and how violated I felt she discharged me as a patient and cancelled my birth control script. With how cold and rude she is, I cannot believe she has as many positive reviews as she does.

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS WOMEN HAS A LICENSE. My girlfriend had the absolute worst experience with this so called “professional.” I have been with her for years and she’s had several gyno appointments with other doctors, never even told me how they went, however with BOYD she called me immediately after HORRIFIED. The lack of compassion and overall disgusting nature of this “doctor” had me write my first review EVER. She left my girlfriend feeling violated. She scolded her about her life choices, to start. She said she did not belong in a childcare environment (she is a full time nanny) due to her tattoos. She scolded her about not choosing to be vaccinated. (Also mentioned she should not be around children due to this). She was very aggressive when proceeding with the exam, causing her to bleed, and then proceeding to tell her that it was my girlfriends fault. If you have any past trauma don’t except this horrible women to be gentle. She was in and out in only a couple of minutes, answering none of the patients questions and leaving her in the room, ready to cry. Other reviews about this ill-mannered lady prove she does this to a lot of her patients, leaving them feeling terrible. She should not earn a dime doing this to women. Dr. Boyd is... Brassy, up front and to be honest, doesn't have the gental touch. I'd suggest a pain pill. But she knows what she is doing 100%. Every appointment I've been to I've waited for an hour to see the doctor. Its not worth going here unless you like waiting. The doctor seems okay but your time in her office will last hours

My first pregnancy in the beginning of 2021, i unfortunately miscarried. I was brought to this office FOUR times, with NO heartbeat detected, NO VISUAL but a blob in my sack, and i was lead on for a month and was not aware anything was wrong until i was in full blown miscarriage and demanded to be seen. she told me, and i quote, bc who could forget something like this. "ill have you back in a few weeks and if you havent processed the miscarriage by then, we'll "get this thing out of you"".... I was incredibly well cared for by Dr. Boyd and her staff with prenatal care as well as labor and delivery. Dr. Boyd is as smart as they come! This allows her to be confident and direct in rendering advice, but she is also very easy to talk to and and is genuinely caring in her nature. It made me feel that me and my baby couldn't have been in better hands. I also appreciated that she took the time to be thorough with results even if they were unconcerning. It never felt like I was doing tests or treatments unnecessarily because everything was combed over and well explained. I became a patient after moving since this office was convenient. I had seen Dr. Boyd for about 15 years but I never considered her compassionate or caring. Her cold demeanor made me dread my yearly visit. Dr. Boyd comes across as rude asking about my personal life and prying outside the realm of my medical care. Wow, per your post, this is exactly what happened to my aunt. She proceeded to ask of her age ( even though that should be known prior) and insisted to have a hysterectomy. My aunt came in to surgery thinking that only her cyst was going to be removed ( my aunts request). She was going into surgery not knowing she was going to completely remove her ovaries. She hid information prior to the surgery. My aunt doesn’t speak English that well and her daughter was her translator. Boyd proceeded to put her hand over her face with frustration, when my aunt couldn’t understand what she was fully saying. RUN FROM HER. She’s rude, disrespectful, and hides information from patients.

Get a doctor that isn't about to retire, you will need to look again soon anyways. Based on these reviews about her crabbing she sounds like a good doctor who is at the age where she should be retiring. Bedside manner is very important and can't be over rated. I had a doctor who was rude when I was pregnant and I felt scared and vulnerable because of it. I chalked it up to her being professional but no, she was mean. Dangerous Doctor! Dishonest and hides information that can be life threatening. I was a patient for 20 years. Trusted Boyd. After monitoring my ovaries with cyst, fibroids, and family histories of ovarian cancer, she suggested a full hysterectomy to remove everything. Alarmingly, she left the ovary in due to difficulty getting it out in the alloted hour and a half, as she had to rush off to her next surgery. Then she hid the fact that she left it in and I found out when my General Practioner requested an ultra sound due to pain where the ovary still is. Run from this Doctor! Find an honest and competent Gynecologist!

Terrible. Rude, apathetic, doesn’t care what you want for yourself. Doesn’t want to listen just wants to talk down to you. She would be better as a prosecutor or something of that matter not a doctor. Worst doctor I have ever been to in my life. I’ve seen many doctors. Dr Boyd made my first pregnancy absolutely terrible. From my experience, she pushes for c-sections, cosmetic genital surgery on newborns, and early scheduled inductions. She also seems to milk insurance for every penny she can get. The front staff argued with me about what my insurance covered even though I knew that it covered ALL prenatal care at 100%. Once they realized that I wasn't lying, they were suddenly able to fit me in weekly or twice weekly with no explanation as to why I needed those appointments. I only saw the actual Dr twice and both times, her bedside manner was terrible. The nurses that I saw for the rest of my pregnancy were not much better and even made derogatory comments about my stretch marks.

My OB since I was a teenager. I didnt know, what I didnt know, throughout my first pregnancy and then delivery with Dr. Boyd. Now, the second time around, I'm just shocked at the lack of education, support, and care from her and her office... I was laughed at and not supported for a Natural-Unmedicated birth plan, and was told "you're going to want an epidural...". I was not asked for consent for an episiotomy. 21yrs ago, I went to her because she was listed as a choice in my insurance list of provider. I was 4 months pregnant and I had light bleeding and having pretty bad cramps. She was curt right from the get go, but I don't care about things like that so I let her check me. Beside I was too worry about the bleeding for to focus on anything else. She gave me a quick rough forceful check and told me I was fine and make an appointment to see her again in a few weeks. I asked her about the bleeding and she said "It is so light, it is nothing, don't be a whiny, I will see you in a couple week". I insisted and asked why? She shrugged and said "Beats me, I don't know". I was furious and yelled at her "Well then why am i paying you for?" and I stormed out. And to just be treated as if it doesn’t matter it so upsetting ! My first visit she totally didn’t give me the time of day while trying to discus my options for birth control. I love Dr. Boyd! She has been my OB for over 10 years and I’ve always had a great experience with her. She provides great care and honesty without sugar coating, always straight to the point. Dr. Boyd makes me feel like I am her first priority as a patient, she truly cares about my everyday life, family and overall health. I’m so excited for her to deliver my first baby, I know we will be is the best hands. Also, Dr. Boyd has the friendliest nurses and staff. They exude joy in their work. I LOVE Dr. Boyd! She has been my OBGYN since I was a teenager and now she will deliver my first baby. She’s honest, straight to the point and she makes you feel like you are her number one patient. Also, her staff is amazing. My personal opinion is that if there are great, happy nurses then the doctor must me running a great practice.

Dr. Boyd has been my GYN for twenty years. While I did not have children, she did diagnose and surgically-repair a complicated condition. Before, during and after my surgery, she displayed warm and genuine care to me and to my family. Over literally decades, I have found Dr. Boyd to be consistently-invested, curious and supportive of my life and of my well-being. Her diagnoses and treatment plans have been spot-on. Her new offices are top-drawer. Her staff has always been great to me. During my last visit, literally five staff members interacted with or took care of me and each was kind, helpful and warm.

Had dogs in the office. Made me have my baby when it was convenient for her. Broke my water without telling me. Made me had an epidural. I had no options in my own pregnancy.

This doctor makes her patients feel bad about themselves. She needs to go through some SERIOUS emotional/sensitivity training. For a person who wants to help people, she doesn't have an empathetic bone in her grumpy body. Do not go here with PCOS or fertility issues. You will not leave happy.

i would refer her in a heart beat shes very down to earth! her concern for her patients makes you feel like family! kid friendly environment. very clean! she saved my babies life! she jumped right into action. love the ladies at the front desk.

She gave me the cutest bikini incision that you can barely see, all my organs were in tact and no infection. I was awake during my c section and was able to see my son come into the world. I visited yesterday her after waiting a whole month to be seen. This was my first doctors appointment for my first pregnancy ever and it was HORRIBLE. The staff and the nurse was very nice but once Dr. Boyd came in the entire experience changed. She was conveniently missing the birth of one of her other patients, which caused her to literally rush her entire time seeing me! She took my babies heartbeat without even acknowledging to me & my boyfriend what it was HORRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

She is wonderful. She gives great care. She found the resolution to a longtime problem and got me the answers I needed to finally carry a baby full term. I can't thank her enough.

Would not go to this doctor ever again, tried to tell me that my medical condition was non existent because she didn't hear of it, and then saw the Mri and other tests ran and was in awe. I was disgusted once I heard her 2 boxer dogs were in her office... very hard To relax and get ur annual with dogs barking in an office.... no emotional support or paws for cause was posted.
