Dr. Kavitha Thukkaram

She should be an urgent care doctor because you will be in and out in the blink of an eye. She is not a good doctor to following someone who has multiple issues such as the elderly in long term care facilities. She needs to go into occupational health or somewhere that doesn't require constant care because she is horrible at that!

Dr k is awesome. She spends time with you. She gets to know you. She answers all your questions and as she walking out the door she is still thinking about you she will turn around and offer another thought. She is medically honest and just the right kind of strictness. I went for weight loss help I’m down 35 pounds and I made her my primary.

My father was a patient of Dr Thukkaran for many years before he passed. I couldn’t had done it without her!! She’s on amazing Dr. she would even get concerned about me being stressed and to take of myself.. I would definitely see Dr Thukkaran as my primary if I had to change my primary. I actually miss her .

I have been a patient for more than 10 years. My entire family including my teenagers are now seeing her. The office is always very helpful. I have never had a problem getting a same day appointment when I needed it. I usualy wait no more than 15 minutes. Doctor is very thorough and experienced. She does not refer to others unnecessarily and does not prescribe antibiotics unless absolutely needed. I highly recommend Dr Thukkaram.

Dr. Kavitha Thukkaram has been our family physician for more than two years. My husband had high blood pressure when we started visiting her. Following her advice, my husband had lost more than 15 pounds within a year. It was due to her invigorating force to reduce the weight, my husband’s blood pressure and cholesterols levels came down to normal level. I really appreciate her for being our family health advisor.

The positive reviews on here must be requested by her from particular patients. - You are just a dollar sign - They push for you to get services linked to a dollar amount even if it is just general things a doctor should do - Makes you go in sooner then any other doc to give you a refill on meds you take everyday for years. Doesn’t do anything when you do go in and asks if you still need them. Obviously just wants the money from the unnecessary visit. - I asked 2 questions and went to ask the third regarding my health and she said no it doesn’t work that way, I need to make multiple appointments for multiple questions. Again, just wants to get paid for extra visits. - No bedside manner, you are only a rushed business transaction.

Great Bedside manner, thorough exam and accurate diagnosis. AND does not prescribe medications especially antibiotics unncessarily

Courteous staff, zero dilatory excuses, if you are on time for your appt you will be attended to on time. Doctor took time to listen to all my questions with prompt answers. She does not in a hurry to cover as many patients and in the process hurry you up.

She takes the time to listen to your concerns - wonderful bed side manners - I have been going to her for years along with my family and I will continue to do so!

Doctor is running a commercial place but healthcare. You need pre-credit card authorization (Breaking News). The doctor will call you twice just to discuss your medicine. Doctor reads medical reports on your 2nd visit and not prior( Efficiency or care gone). Never discusses natural things or diet to treat disease. Doctor prefer to writes too much medicine and tests. Will keep giving you repeat appointments after every 30 days. No water for patient to drink while you wait( basic missing).

Just hollow talk that can impress gullible people. Incompetent. And unexpected bills. And smart about billing you and convincing you it is all your mistake. Be warned. Dont book an appointment because she is available. That is not the reason to choose a doctor.

My husband and I have been her patients for a few years. She is very interested in prevention and is very good at motivating people to be more healthy. With her help I lost more than 40 lbs and I was able to get off some of my medications that I took for years! I would highly recommend Dr Thukaram to everyone who is looking for a physician who will help get them off medications rather than start new medications!

I relly like Dr.Thukkaram .She gives her patient full attention , u dont feel like that u pushed in or rushed. The staff is really helpful and cooperative .

Dr. Kavitha Thukkaram understand and diagnose problem quickly. I found her analysis exactly right. She is very friendly to her patient and discuss the ptoblem thoroughly. She explains very well about diease and treatment. I found her treatment very much helpful for all my problems.

Dr. T and her staff are very professional. I have been coming to her for years because she was my fathers doctor at an assisted living facility. Dr. T works very well with elder patients and is a caring Dr. so after my experience with my dad I started using her as my primary care physician. The office hours vary and will work for anyone which is also a perk and they have lab hours on Saturdays. I highly recommend Dr. T as a doctor to use.

I have been coming to see Dr. Thukkaram for over 6-7 years and I have to say I will not switch her for anyone. She is the most compassionate, understanding and relaiable physician I've known. If i call today because of a concern she will make the time to see me that same day.. She listens to your concerns and will do anything and everything to make sure you are satisified with her care.

Everyone is always very helpful and accomodating. I can always get an appointment when I need one. One of my favorite doctor offices.

Dr. She is very nice. I go to many doctors and she does a good job reviewing all the info. I am not thrilled with her computer system since I have to get all test results online. I do not have a computer or smart phone. Sometimes she is a little slow with my prescription requests.

The Doctor was recommended by my Endocrinologist who had worked with her at JFK Medical Center. He felt she was a thorough Clinician. Happy with the care.

Dr.T has been my doctor for last 10 plus years. She is an excellent doctor. She is friendly and knowledgeable. She listens and advises accordingly. Her staff is very friendly and helpful. No issues with appointments or emergency request. Would gladly recommend her to my friends.

Dr. T is very thorough, caring, and confident. Nevertheless she is not afraid to consult with other specialists (cardiologist in my case) to confirm her readings of medical tests (abnormal ekg in my case), which only adds to my confidence in her. And importantly, from year to year she remembers me and my history. I highly recommend her.
