Dr Shaw was very thorough with evaluation of my condition and made clear my alternatives for future treatment. I elected to wait and see.

Pleasant front desk personnel and nurses. Doctor spent adequate time to explain and offer possible remedies. Total visit was pleasant and arriving toba satisfactory result.

Dr Shaw and all if the staff were excellent during my urgent visit. The staff were kind, compassionate and professional. Dr Shaw was compassionate and professional. Asked questions regarding my knee and explained possible diagnosis. He reviewed my X-rays and explained them. I like the staff and physicians at Beacon.

Dr. Shaw has replaced my shoulder in 2017 and in December my right hip. I will only good to him if anything else happens I just pray and hope nothing else decides to fail Just tired of surgery but I will only go to him. Dr. Shaw explained everything that was going on before, and what would go on after the surgery. He was a calming person who put me at ease. He is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to anyone .

I had surgery by Dr. Shaw 6 months ago and everything went far better than I could have expected! He is knowledgeable and kind and takes plenty of time with his patients explaining the potential outcomes of surgery. I would highly recommend him!

Great office to do health care

Dr. Shaw was very professional and explained all my questions. Gave me in detail of my upcoming surgery and after care.

I have been seeing Dr Shaw for a long time. I have been very pleased with all of the surgeries he has performed on me. He has always been pleasant and answered any questions or concerns I have had. I have recommended him many times.

Dr. Shaw is the best orthopedic surgeon! I'm very pleased with my results.

Dr. Shaw has been a valuable resource to me for many years. I wouldn’t see anyone else. He has treated me running falls, bursitis, knee replacement. He is special to me.

Dr shaw is a great doctor, he treated me very good with my pain in my elbow and my shoulder. I will go back to him again

Dr. Shaw listened to me. He told me what was to be expected to happen with the hip replacement surgery. He was the first doctor not to send me to another doctor for more test (except for cardiac clearance). Just wish the surgery was sooner than February

I had a tore rotator cuff, he explained everything upfront about the procedure and what was going to happen afterwards. He did an excellent job of when he stitched my incisions up. I could barely see them. He is #1 in my book

I have been going to Dr. Shaw for several years and have sent several of my friends to see him. What I like most is that he is friendly but yet he answers all my questions and explains to me in detail if I don’t understand his answer. He becomes a friend as well as a doctor and is always concerned about his patients.

Excellent experience! Dr. Shaw replaced both my knees (different times) and everything went without a hitch! Thanks to Dr. Shaw I am walking pain free!

Dr Shaw and his staff are extremely personable and caring. He is the first DR to be able to give me relief from bad arthritis in both knees. I can't recommend Dr Shaw, Jason and his other staff enough.

Did not see Dr. Shaw. His assistant injected my shoulder which help a lot with my pain.

Waited two hours before actual surgery performed. Technician gave me too big of an arm sling. Otherwise I highly recommend Dr Kevin Shaw. Thanks

I have been going to beacon (reconstructive orthopedics) for 45 years. Dr.Autry, Dr. Starks, Dr. Shaw. All have been so professional its a testament to real human kindness and care. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my orthopedic problems !!! Thank you, Al Carrier

I have never met an orthopedist so caring and devoted to his patients. he listened to my concerns and frustrations about my health issues, and helped me to find a doctor that will help with my diabetes and bone health. what orthopedist does that???? I have never met one before. usually they are so dismissive! Great doctor and great guy!

Dr. Shaw did an outstanding job repairing my hip which returned my mobility. Highest marks in all regards for a physician. Great follow-up after surgery as well including therapy. Highly recommend!

Dr. Kevin Shaw at Beacon Orthopedics in Cincinnati, Ohio performed a Reverse Shoulder Replacement for me. From the beginning of the process until now, over 5 weeks later, it has been an excellent experience with a great outcome. Dr. Shaw first explained the situation and what needed to be done. Viewed X-rays, etc. From there I followed the process and the surgery was completed. Shelly most helpfully scheduled the appointments for the surgery, pre-op and post-op, with various entities. Jason (PA), in a separate meeting, carefully explained the surgery in more detail, and what to expect. He answered all of our questions while we spoke. Dr. Shaw's process included proscribing medication for pain control in advance. Starting the day before the surgery we had all recommended proscriptions that might be needed during the initial recovery from surgery. Coordination by Dr. Shaw's practice at Beacon Orthopedics with the hospital and their staff was seamless for us. We were in and out the same day, with recommendation for initial and continuing PT exercise. Physical therapy will continue to insure return to range of motion and function of my shoulder. Infection Control was a clear, persistent, and defined effort as part of the surgical process. It actually started the day before the surgery. This is a serious procedure. Thanks to a successful surgical effort by Dr. Kevin Shaw and his team at Beacon Orthopedics, I am well on the way to a very good outcome for my shoulder function. Dr. Shaw did a great job of diagnosing my injury and explaining his recommended treatment plan for it. He took the time to really understand what was going on and answered all of my questions. I wish I'd gone to him sooner!

Dr. Kevin Shaw has taken care of my hip and knee issues so that I have been able to achieve black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 67. With Dr. Shaw's continued care for my joints, I hope to achieve 2nd degree black belt one day.

Dr. Shaw did a replacement on my right knee 6 years ago and did a great job. However, when I came back recently for back and shoulder problems, he had changed. He dismissed my back problems and I had to wait 8 weeks to even get an x-ray of my back because he found I needed two shoulders replaced. He seemed to get upset with my back pain and simply referred me to a pain doctor next door who was awful! I felt he could have at least recommended a spine doctor.

I was sad , he never once visited me in my 2 week stay at the hospital, no follow up there. It was like he got his money and ran to the bank. I was uncomfortable around him. ??

Dr. Shaw took care of my problem and sending me for PT. He is my go to orthopedic doctor.

Not a happy camper. Two many issues to cover here.

So glad I went to Kevin Shaw MD. He knew right away what the culprit was, I was thinking it was my shoulders but it was my neck . He gave me a steroid shot and by the next day I was feeling so much better. He explained to me everything in a way I could understand and was very kind and patient

I had a great experience with dr. Shaw. He took his time to listen to me and he answered all and any of my questions. I’m due to have an MRI at his office and check back with him after that. Dr. Shaw is an incredible surgeon and a compassionate, patient, and thoughtful doctor. I had a massive rotator cuff repair with him and my outcome was...100%. I chose him after interviewing two other surgeons. He will not recommend surgery until that is indicated as your best outcome.

Very helpful he replaced my left hip was very pleased with results so my right knee has been giving me trouble. Dr Shaw suggested another option I’m going to try.

I was very disappointed with Dr Shaw. I felt like he needed to meet a quota of shoulder replacements and I was just a number to meet the quota.
