I was referred to the Steadman Clinic by a few friends that had used them in the past, as I had been to other providers for opinions on my shoulder. From the first time I met with Dr. Leslie Vidal to surgery to the last time we met, she and her staff were amazing. The level of professionalism and knowledge and the work she did on my shoulder was just incredible. Three months after the work and I am already done with PT and getting closer and closer to being 100%. If you want the best of the best, Dr. Leslie Vidal, her staff, and the rest of the folks at the Steadman Clinic are definitely the way to go!

Dr. Leslie Vidal is not only an accomplished and skilled surgeon, but clearly takes the time and effort to explain the injury and treatment or surgery options for the patient. Her highly qualified and personable Physician's Assistant (TJ) initially takes time to go over the initial diagnosis and answer initial questions in detail. Then Dr. Vidal and TJ both spend extra time further addressing the issue and options. I think this is a great approach and applaud the extra time and effort required. My subsequent hip arthroscopy went flawlessly with absolutely no pain afterwards and during the recuperation process. In my first follow-up, I was surprised that Dr. Vidal and TJ both spent extra time with me to answer all questions and go over the surgical results. Dr. Vidal's and TJ's extra effort truly exemplifies their interest in the full patient experience. I give Dr. Vidal and her entire staff my highest recommendation.

Hip surgery is still strong 5+ years later. She is remarkable.

I developed a severely painful shoulder after participating in an exciting Master’s Swim meet last fall. Having retired from medicine 15 years ago I was out of the loop on whom to entrust the future of my shoulder. I read the comments of Dr. Marc J. Philippon, Managing Partner of the Steadman Clinic and Co-Chair of Steadman Philippon Research Institute in the Aug, 2019 press release. He said their newest orthopedic surgeon, “Dr. Leslie Vidal is a gifted surgeon, a thoughtful and meticulous doctor and caretaker”. I had had excellent care for a knee injury at the Vail Steadman Clinic the prior year. Since she would be doing shoulder, hip and knee procedures, I decided to see Dr. Vidal. When I came to Denver after my formal medical training, my initial work places concentrated on the disease process and treatment. When I worked at Rose Medical Center, I was impressed on how they treated the person as well as the disease. Prior to the Steadman Clinic, Dr. Vidal’s prior hospital privileges were at Rose Medical Center. Because of this I knew I had picked the best orthopod for my care. Dr. Leslie Vidal reattached my supraspinatus tendon onto my humerus as well as cleaned out bone spurs. I told her I needed the shoulder for swimming for 20 more years; Dr. Vidal said it’s good for 25 years!! At my first post-op visit I noticed that the wound looked like a plastic surgery repair. My thoughts were, if it looked like this on the outside, just think how good it looks on the inside! I am now 10 months post-op, doing well and back in the pool. I am not willing to crank on the shoulder for another 2 months, but I did try some butterfly last week without incidence. In all, I’m very pleased with the treatment and care I received from Dr. Vidal at the Vail Steadman Clinic. It’s a drive from the Denver metro area, but what’s a few hours compared to decades of “like new” use and knowing you got the best repair. Dr. Vidal is outstanding - she is patient with questions, explains things clearly, very thorough after care, and has a great team. She fixed my hip almost 7 years ago and I had a great outcome. When my husband broke his collarbone into several pieces I took him to her, and she ended up doing a rotator cuff repair for me 06/20. Each surgery has had great results. Between 3 people in our family we have had 10 orthopedic surgeries with 6 different surgeons, so I feel comfortable saying that she is an amazing surgeon. As someone who has had multiple surgeries, Dr. Vidal has been the most knowledgeable and personable surgeon I’ve had. I saw another well renowned surgeon in Denver, but was unimpressed by the lack of genuine interest in helping me get back to my sport. Dr. Vidal has treated me like a full human and has made me feel confident in my hips recoveries. I’m also proud to say she’s my first (and the best) female surgeon who is a an absolute badass. If anyone is hurting and needs to be fixed up, Vidal has your best interest - through listening and being compassionate - in getting you back to your ideal functioning life. There is more than enough good in Dr. Vidal and her team. Highly, highly recommend.

Dr. Vidal did an amazing job rebuilding my 16 year old son's clavicle after he demolished it downhill mountain biking. Then she had the grace to do it all over again when he bent her work at a 90 degree angle longboarding with both arms in slings! She did a wonderful job both times and was kind enough not to lecture him too much!

Dr. Vidal is, hands down, the best orthopedic surgeon. I know because I am a nurse in the operating room (well, retired now) and because she did a fantastic job replacing both my shoulder joints. she is extremely knowledgeable and well trained. She is gentle in her approach, but you never doubt she can do the job. She spends time to clearly explain what she is going to do so you go into surgery knowing what to expect during and after the operation. I had not a moments pain. Her office staff, physicians assistant, trainer and support team are fantastic. I highly recommend her and her clinic for ortho surgeries and injuries. I stayed a night at the hospital in Vail, which is staffed with very qualified nurses, was very clean and pleasant. The physical therapists available in the Head PT clinic are very well trained and gentle with a post-op shoulder. She's the Best!

Dr. Vidal replaced my knee in 2012 and it is working perfectly. The operation was difficult in that one screw from previous operations was calcified over and could not be removed. The knee is working perfectly with no pain. One year and a half ago Dr. Vidal cleaned up my shoulder that took a lot of basketball abuse and there is no arthritis nor pain at this time. The shoulder is like new!

I love Dr. Vidal. She is easy to ask a question to and will give you your answer.

Dr.Vidal replaced both shoulders and while I am still recovering from the second surgery and full recovery on shoulders are a long process I am extremely happy. Also , every medical professional i contact(P.T. ,primary care, X-ray tech) all are amazed by the surgical quality.

This past year Dr Vidal performed two surgeries on me. Rotator cuff in February and meniscus in March. I can attest that she is an excellent surgeon with a good bedside manner. Both surgeries went as planned and now my life is moving forward again without pain or discomfort. I would highly recommend Dr Vidal to anyone. She does a great job explaining what procedure(s) needs to be done, how surgery will be performed and what to expect afterwards. I can't thank her enough for how she has helped me.

Dr. Vidal is the reason I’m still able to play roller derby on a top-level competitive team at the age of 41. I’ve had two scopes on my right knee and am dealing with pretty severe arthritis. Instead of telling me to retire, or even take a break, she asks “what do we need to do to keep you skating this season?” She understands athletes, and her treatment plans are aggressive without risking further injury. I so appreciate the fact that she understands how important this is to me, and doesn’t make me feel bad about skating through pain/discomfort. Currently we are treating this with PT and a gel injection and so far so good. There’s a knee replacement in my future, but I feel confident that I can continue skating a few more years without risking further damage. She’s the best ortho I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few!), and I am super grateful for everything she’s done for me. Remarkable. She is decisive and reeks with confidence while still being fun and kind. You feel safe, secure under her care. With all medical explanations , I would benefit more with a three dimensional body part rather than medical words and diagrams. She did as well as she could with her tools

Everything from the beginning until surgery couldn't have been better. Everything was explained so I understood what we were doing. I had both shoulders replaced and it was amazingly easy. Very little pain and the results have been great. If I had known it was this easy I would have done it a long time ago.

Dr. Vidal has an excellent manner -- patient in explaining, great in working with patient needs/wants. I have now had both hips worked on by Dr. Vidal. The first one was in 2014 -- she was the only surgeon out of 5 that I was referred to that was confident the repairs could be done arthroscopically. That surgery was completely successful, so when the other hip needed attention I went straight to Dr. Vidal. I am only 12 days out from that surgery, but the post-op pain is so much better (less) than what I was dealing with pre-op I expect the long-term result to be as good as the fist hip. Dr. Vidal is the absolute best option when you need work donel! And who doesn’t want that! Dr. Vidal did my total knee replacement just over 6 years ago and I couldn’t be more happy with those results. When I recently hurt my shoulder, and it didn’t get better, Dr. Vidal was my choice to receive care from. I trust that she has the one goal of fixing me! Her communication style is easy to understand, builds trust and her surgical skills are amazing! She's professional and effective. I've been going to Dr. Vidal for over 7 years. She's helped me with a PCL tear, MCL sprain, and most recently a broken ankle that required surgery which she performed. I will always seek her out first and glad to have such a trusted provider in my community that I feel comfortable with.

I started with Dr. Vidal leading up to my fourth knee surgery. She's professional and effective. My recovery from the surgery was incredibly quick and much lower pain than the previous work. I appreciate her willingness to explain how your body works and to review the actual photos from the surgery. I strongly recommend her work.

I met Dr Vidal when I needed an emergency procedure. I couldn't be happier with her care. Over the course of several months, her follow-up, knowledge, explanation, care, compassion and patience were greatly appreciated. She always made me feel like she had all the time in the world for me. She explained procedures, prognosis, and what to expect in recovery in such a way that I confidently felt I could make informed decisions. I would recommend her to anyone.

Extremely informative, knowledgeable, cordial, pleasant, and a great sense of humor. Dr. Vidal made certain I understood what would happen before, during, and after the procedure. She and her assistants made my visit a very pleasant one.

I think Dr. Vidal is fantastic. She replaced both my knees and my right shoulder. My knees are perfect! In fact I need to be careful and remember they have been replaced as they feel better than they did 15 years ago. My shoulder is still recovering as it was just replaced in September. It is getting better each day. I'm still doing therapy. As you can gather I think she is great!

Dr. Vidal did a great job with my hip surgery and explained everything very well. While I did feel a bit rushed post op, most of my other appointments had very little wait time and everything went very smoothly. Dr. Vidal was great about answering my questions and making me at ease with the procedure. Also, if you do PT after, Ryan with the OA PT team is great!

1st visit: met with an "athletic trainer", then with the PA, finally with Dr. Vidal for 5 minutes. She decided to inject my previously operated on shoulder and put me in physical therapy. 2nd visit, same routine with the trainer and PA - Dr. decided I was cured. Pain returned so I saw another orthopedist who ordered X-rays and then an MRI (Dr. Vidal did neither). He found bone chips floating around, a torn rotator cuff, torn biceps tendon, grade 3 chondromalacia (arthritis) in shoulder joint.

I could not be more pleased. Dr. Vidal replaced my right shoulder May 12th, 2015 and I am at least 98%. I am very active, ski, golf, biking, fly fishing, etc.I really feel like my shoulder is as good as new. Dr. Vidal is an excellent surgeon, carrying and very precise with her surgery.
