Dr. Lina Mitchell

Was recommended to Lina by a friend, and I'm very thankful. She actually listened to me and took into consideration all of my symptoms, and took the time to test everything as well. She recommended a partial thyroidectomy, but said it was my choice. She laid out the facts and I was nervous. I had been avoiding surgery. But she had let me know that it was now out down the road, and being young would be better for surgery. My only regret is not going sooner to have it removed. I personally chose a different surgeon than she had recommended. Dr. Godsey in Dayton is who I chose and he's BRILLIANT!

I would score a 0 if I could. I called 24 hrs before my elderly mothers apt to reschedule and was told that new patients can't cancel the first apt the day before or the Drs will not see them. I explained that it was Covid related and they said that didn't matter. I said that is a pretty bad policy and was hung up on.

Very great physician and doesn't treat you as a number. Takes time to listen to all concerns AA+++

Best doctor in the world hands down I absolutely love her she is not judgmental listen to you she cares about you she works with you she does everything she can but you have to do things also to take care of your own health

I don't remember seeing a more caring Doctor in my 71 years. She has done more to help me with my health problems than anyone else I have seen. Her staff breaks their necks to help when facing a problem with medication or supplies, and the make you feel comfortable and at home when your in the office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mitchell for many years. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and courteous. When she moved from the Dayton area, I elected to remain as her patient and drive to Mason for appointments. It is worth the drive for me to continue as her patient.

I have been with Dr. Lena Mitchell for a few years now. She is an amazing physician as well as a person. As a patient, it is so important to have physicians that are willing to think “outside of the box”. Dr. Mitchell is very detailed in her work while maintaining a beautiful Dr./patient relationship. I have become more & more impressed with her abilities as a physician due to her always digging for the answers. Her level of education/staying up on current information is absolutely outstanding. Above everything the factor that I find to be the most impressive is her dedication to her patients. She is excellent about all follow on any messages or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell to anyone seeking a new endocrinologist.

I was in this doctor's practice for several years when she had a practice in Dayton OH - I strongly suspect that she left this area because she could not retain patients. This doctor had a poor attitude and often didn't take responsibility for things such as refusing to adjust thyroid medication in between appointments even though my next appointment was months away. She could not figure out that another drug needed to be blended in along with the current drug I was taking and just ignored my physical complaints. The office staff and her medical assistant were very rude and created an uneasy atmosphere in the practice. I'm now with a great endocrinologist who calls me personally with lab results the day of and adjusts meds if needed, and has given me my life back. I do see she is getting better reviews currently so perhaps she learned her lesson from her time here?? Based on my experiences with her I would say to stay away from this doctor.

Dr. Mitchell has been a blessing. She is on TOP of her game. She calls to discuss labs, medications etc.. She is very flexible, reliable, and so very caring. She is in this battle WITH me, at all times. I am so lucky to have a doc who actually gets it....would recommend her a thousand times over. I have been a professional in healthcare for 30+ years. I have worked with many docs, good and not so good....she is everything you want from a doctor!

Compassionate, genuinely cares!!

Lina has been my doctor for 4 years now and she has always been wonderful. She’s attentive and willing to listen to your input about your own medical care.

Great doctor! She listens , she do the best what she can help finding the reason of your problems. I have never see this full care doctor in America! Love her from one step she made into room.

Had bad diabetes and thyroid. Working with me to make it better. Called me at home. Very good doctor

Would not recommend. This physician wouldn't even come into the exam room and speak with me. She would not accept me as a patient. She assumed something about me that wasn't accurate. Made me feel terrible.

Dr. Mitchell is a very good doctor. She is very caring and takes a lot of time with you to go over your medical problems.

This doctor was recommended to me by another physician in the practice on the grounds that she had more experience with my particular medical issues. After waiting a few months to see her, I arrived at this office today and was told by a nurse that the doctor wouldn't write a prescription for a medication I need that I've been on for years. The nurse didn't seem very knowledgeable about my condition. Complete waste of time and evidently the doctor didn't think I was worth talking to face to face. If I could rate zero stars, I would. She’s one of the most concerned doctors I had the last 15 years. I can’t see why anyone would give her a bad review. She’s very through, the appointment lasted over 30 mins. And a I’m homosexual and she. treats my husband very nice to and she treats us the same as she treats other patients. She has a great bedside manner. I even took my mother along with us for one appointment and treated her nice too! I highly recommend people who are look for good endocrinologist to try her out, you will be pleased. Dr. Mitchell is an intelligent and caring doctor. The best I have seen in a long time. She helps you understand your disease and doesn't make you feel guilty if you A1C is not where she hopes it would be. She always has something positive to say.

Dr. Mitchell is a great listener and treats me like a person who struggles, not just an awful non-compliant patient like my past provider. She helped me get pregnant by treating my thyroid issues and worked with my high-risk OB in controlling my Type-1 diabetes. She also has been a great help to my friend with lupus and thyroid issues. A little hard to understand at times due to an accent and the quick exam doesn't always feel complete, but I truly feel she is treating me well, with expertise

Takes time to properly diagnose.

Very good experience. She diagnosed my hyperparathyroidism that many other doctors missed. She was very kind, polite and explained things well. I am an RN so I feel based on my experience she is excellent.

I went to Dr. Mitchell while I lived in the Beavercreek, OH area and had a great experience. She listened to what I had to say and we tried different things to get my levels to where I could function. She suggested things to help me lose weight and when I did what she suggested, I felt better....even though it was hard to hear!! Now that I've moved out of the area I miss having her as my doctor.

Plan on being there a long time. You wait in the waiting room and once put in the exam room you wait forever, a good 45 minutes or more. She continuously orders high dollar lab work that I think is not necessary. I have seen her three times in the past five months and during each visit she orders very expensive lab work, over 5000.00 worth per visit. I can see that the first visit but after that I do not think that is necessary. I do not think I will be going back.

Worst Doctor I have ever visited. Spent entire time looking at the clock! Touched my knee with her hand, held a stethoscope to my back for less than 5 seconds and called it an exam. Doesn't treat hypothyroidism symptoms just wants to say exercise because you're overweight. Very snippy, rude and lacks compassion, empathy and concern for her patients. When you ask questions she basically shuts you down and refuses to listen. She is very rude and abrupt. Surprised she has any patients at all!
