Michael Spivak is the best. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I initially felt like this place would be good as they advertise to be inclusive and welcoming of non-binary and LGBTQ+ individuals. However I highly advise against this practice if you’re also one of those people. I was told they have my pronouns marked on my account and it was taken seriously by all staff. During my last appointment with Michael Spivak, I was misgendered and noticed he kept looking down at my chest the entire appointment. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I called and cancelled my next appointment and told them I would be looking for another provider.

Dr. Goldenberg is by far, the best endocrinologist I have met. She is kind and loving! She has more intellect than the 30 doctors I have seen in the past 8 years. Jane is my NP, the most patient person that you could want to work with! And I am an NP myself. They found things that Mayo and Cleveland could not find. I am feeling so much better since starting with her in November. It has been a long 8 years and I am finally starting to get my life back!

After several doctors dismissing symptoms and letting my high blood calcium fly under the radar, Dr Goldenburg ran the tests and properly and quickly diagnosed me with hyperparathyroidism. I was able to go to a surgeon her office was familiar with, and got my parathyroid tumor removed. My insurance unfortunately no longer covers Dr Goldenburg. But I will happily stay as a cash patient because Dr Goldenburg is the best endocrinologist in the area. I have seen Dr. Goldenberg of and on since 2010. I truly trust her medical opinions and advise. She has helped me get my PCOS and weight under control, which felt impossible when I first saw her. I have had a good experience with all of the staff and have had no issues with reaching out to them. Dr. Goldenberg is a very direct and to the point physician and that may be off-putting to others, but she truly does care and is very helpful. I have seen Dr. Goldenberg of and on since 2010. I see both, I recently had the pleasure of my first visit via telemedicine with Michael. In especially kindness. They both exceed my expectations of endo care. My a1c was 14 or higher. Thank goodness for quick intervention by her and all staff. I now have a 6.4 a1c. You have to put in the work too! Very happy patient

I have been seen by Dr. Goldenberg and her team for the past few years, and just recently received a second opinion from another endocrinologist and am so thankful I did. Over the past few months, since Dr. Goldenberg implemented her Preferred Patient Program, communication and direction regarding my care has plummeted. I did not sign up for this program, and have been unable to receive any answers to my questions. This includes having some bloodwork drawn per Dr. Goldenberg's request over the summer, prior to implementing this program, and after calling the office several times to follow-up, I have not received a call back. This lack of communication regarding my care following the development of this Preferred Program, compelled me to pursue a second opinion. After having labwork performed and reviewed by a different office, I was told there is nothing wrong with me, and they guided me to stop taking the medications and supplements Dr. Goldenberg had put me on. After this new office reviewed my patient records, the endocrinologist interpreted them as directionless and unnecessary, recommending that I do not need to be in the care of this type of specialist. It's unfortunate Dr. Goldenberg's office put me through years of testing, labwork, and even a very expensive CAT scan to get to this point. It's unfortunate that not signing up for this unnecessary Preferred Patient Program has halted me from receiving any additional labwork results after having them done. I felt like you had to really work hard as a patient to have this practice respond and work with you. Which to me is really not proactive healthcare. I felt like I was never getting responses, that they had memory of what had been happening with me (and I had been there 5+ times) and I just felt like they were too busy to be present and responsive. It made it difficult to feel like my care was being managed well, because I didn't get responses when I had concerns and I was still having major symptoms that I was unable to get addressed. I love Doctor Goldenberg and her staff. I had to leave due to change in insurance. I have since changed and found out she is in my network. I can’t wait to call and make an appointment this morning.

She is the best of the best!! I have many autoimmune disorders and she tackled them all, she helped take excellent care of me. If she's not sure if something she will investigate, she'll get to the root of the problem or send you to someone you can. She takes her time with you, she cares about her Patients and it shows. She's one of the best. She's a great doctor and if I moved back to Ohio I would start seeing her again. She is the best of the best!! I have been seeing Dr. Goldenberg for many years. She has been a very thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. I would highly recommend that anyone needing an endocrinologist try to see her. In my opinion she is the best.

This place is horrible. The doctors there are ok, but the place is run like a zoo. I've been calling ALL DAY for my new prescription to be confirmed by my pharmacy for 3 DAYS. It takes 13 seconds to fax it back. Don't waste your time or money here.

I was so excited to find a functional endocrinologist.I like the doctor and I think she is extremely bright however it is impossible to access her. If you have a side effect, an abnormal lab, or a problem that you need advice from the doctor it doesn’t matter how many times you call you can’t reach her. She doesn’t call you back nor does she have anyone in her office call you back. The office is run poorly and there is literally no access to the doctor. It feels unsafe and unprofessional. I really loved Dr. Goldenberg and believe she sincerely cares about her patients but haven't been back in a while because the front office staff was always very lazy, nice people but would be pulling teeth to get them to do even halfway what they should be doing anyway (assisting with prescription refills, pulling up results from tests, asking any question at all to the doctor to confirm). They seemed to not care and didn't put in the time and effort to really do their job. I also left because although I loved Dr. Goldenberg, I just didn't really feel I was getting anywhere with my Hashimotos. I'd been seeing her for years and while we were able to make small improvements here and there, I was still feeling terrible and at one point when I tried a new kind of thyroid medication, she put me on too low of a dose of hormones and I gained around 20-30 pounds over only about 2-3 months without changing anything else in my lifestyle. I still can't get the weight off and have stretch marks I feel will never go away and this really hurt me mentally in collaboration with all the other symptoms I experience from Hashimotos. Since leaving and going to the Happy Hormone Cottage in Centerville, Ohio I have felt better than I have in years as they discovered I was low in progesterone and supplementing that made a HUGE difference for me as well as the adrenal support and immune/anti-inflammatory support. I am also taking a few more vitamins. The issue with the HHC is that their care only goes so far so I've highly considered coming back to Dr. G because I think she would still build off of and work with what I'm taking now, while further monitoring more frequently my thyroid and other hormones etc. But I'm not sure. I've had other doctors treat me horribly who don't agree with my new medicine and supplements even though they're the only option that's truly helped me feel much better. I love Dr Goldenberg- I think she is great and takes the time to listen. What is not so great is the way the office is run. I don’t get call backs, wait months for an appointment. No way to get an answer from the Dr between appointments in a timely fashion. Would have to keep calling and leaving messages and keep bugging them until I got someone to respond. I am (now) a long time patient of Michael Spivak. I made it a point to follow him when he changed practices. I spent years having my "symptoms" balked at, or untreated - not knowing that I had Hashimoto's. Mr. Spivak suspected of, and diagnosed within the first two (2) visits. I've been improving ever since.

Dr. Goldenberg has been my endocrinologist for over 10 years. She is brilliant, compassionate and always willing to do anything she can to help her patients. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Things were good, then Hannah left, now the only employee you can depend on in the front desk person/ the back up medical assistant. It seems like she doesn’t take a break and the office manager makes her do all the dirty work. She takes all the calls and she and another part-timer does the scheduling. The back staff is busy because the doctors overbook themselves so sometimes you will wait 1 hour to be seen but the medical staff have no time for the paperwork but if you scream your head off then they will take care of you or just brush it off and hope that you forget about it. The girl upfront gets all the complaints and with all the changes in Dr.Goldenberhs Office she gets the short end of the stick, because they have 3 doctors there and 1 fulltimer upfront, doesn’t make sense!!!!! Ive called a few times and the office manager had answered (I know this because there’s only 1 male staff member besides the doctors) but he doesn’t do much with it, I know this because whenever you call back they seem confused, which means the manager didn’t put the call into the medical chart..... that’s probably not the best idea since this is HEALTHCARE. I followed Dr.Goldenberg from Mercy and I am in the process of seeing a new practice because of the medical staff/ management. They are so sloppy and don’t know what the heck is going on. 20/03/2019: We have spoken in the past about this on the phone prior to my review. I had just had “enough” with the last few weeks. Waiting 2 weeks for a response from your staff is not appropriate, and I’m not sure if it’s their fault because all I hear is “we are waiting to hear from the doctors for the results” eventhough they have have the results. I have an immediate family member who is a patient so that’s why you didn’t find me, but that doesn’t matter if it’s my son/husband/or me, and please don’t try to say online that you couldn’t find a certain person in your database, not sure if that’s HIPPA approved. They never answer the phone, when you leave messages they don’t call back. They say they order tests and don’t follow through, and prescribe medication without having the test done in the first place. I left a message for a refill request 2 weeks ago and literally have not heard back yet, therefore have not had my thyroid meds that long. I told them twice that I was so dizzy I could hardly function and they brushed me off. Turns out that once I decided to stop taking the Hydrocortisone they prescribed (without an ACTH stim they supposedly ordered in October) I was fine. the only thing good about that office are the Medical Assistants. The manager Steve is horrible and does not know how to run a business. Dr.Goldenberg needs to do herself a favor and get rid of him before he ruins her reputation. I have left so many voicemails regarding my parents (patients of hers for their thyroid/cholestrol), she is great but lately it has been bad. We saw the nurse practioner, was waiting about an hour, she came into the room, left after 10 minutes and said she needed to wait for Dr. Goldenberg to continue the appointment. An outstanding doctor, both professionally and ethically!

This wonderful doctor literally saved my life! My PCP & 2 other doctors failed to tell me of an incidental secondary finding on a CTA test performed at the ER for heart arrhythmia in Feb 2018. It disclosed a spot in my lung and recommended follow up CT in 3 months, but no one advised me. I have a strong family history of lung cancer in non-smokers. I saw Dr. Goldenberg for the first time 10 months later for a different issue and she reviewed all the test results I had over the past few years. She immediately focused on the finding and asked me if I knew. I did not! She ordered the follow up CT quickly and told me we were going to move fast. We did! She referred me to a pulmonologist and ordered the PET scan she knew he would want. I was then referred to a thoracic surgeon who performed surgery January 2019 to remove the portion of my lung with the tumor in it. It was cancer! Even though it had been nearly a year since the CTA showed the spot, it was still in time. I had no spread yet. The tumor was still 1A, which is the lowest grade. The oncologist said I do not require chemo. I am so very lucky I chose Dr. Goldenberg as my endocrinologist!!! She was thorough and read the details no one else did. I did not have any symptoms and the other doctors I see were going to let this go until it was a death sentence. The pulmonologist & surgeon both told me that patient's who present with active symptoms usually have less than a year. I owe her my life, yet all I can do, in return, is give an honest account of my experience under her care....just doesn't seem like enough! In reading other reviews, I see some unhappy comments. Yes, she left a hospital owned practice and opened her own. It's new and it takes time to get things operating the way you want them to. I don't mind waiting or working through things when necessary. Dr. Goldenberg recently saved my life by zeroing in on an incidental finding that disclosed a spot in my lung. My PCP & 2 other doctors I saw failed to tell me. I had no symptoms. 10 months later, I saw Dr. Goldenberg for the first time for a different issue. Her expert review of my tests put me on the fast track to surgery. I was blessed! Tumor was cancer but still 1A, the lowest grade and without any spread. No chemo needed. I am so lucky I chose her as my endocrinologist!!! She is in demand, of course, but I'm happy to wait. She is worth it!!!

This lady is fantastic! I suggest anyone with endocrine issues or Lyme or Mold toxicity to see her!

I've seen Dr. Goldenberg for 10 years now, and she is an amazing doctor that listens. I never felt like I was rushed or that any of my concerns, no matter how small, are invalid.

She's very detailed and spent a quite a bit of time with me. I have Addison's Disease which is a rare disease and Dr. G is one of the few Endo's in the area who is knowledgeable about my condition. I feel safe I her care.

I am so thankful to find a doctor who is truly interested in my wellness and isn’t ready to order a new script to fix my symptoms. She takes the time to know you to get to the root of issues. She shares tips for helping to improve healthy along with her care. The answers so many years in waiting are close to come.

I have been looking for a doctor who is knowledgeable with avascular necrosis (AVN) or osteonecrosis. She worked closely with Dr. Gleuk Who is known for his extensive research in this area as well as many publications. She knows all the extensive lab work involved to rule out/in all the possible causes for this disease. My appointments have been through and never rushed. Highly recommend! Dr. Goldenberg is wonderful. She is so knowledgeable about my adrenal and pituitary problems. She's very kind and friendly. Interacting with her is a real pleasure. She has been my doctor for many years. She's always happy to fill out disability paperwork, etc. My biggest My only complaint is that it can be hard to get an appt. with her because she is so in demand. I recommend booking ahead. But she's worth it. Dr. Goldenberg is wonderful. She is so knowledgeable about my adrenal and pituitary problems. She's very kind and friendly. Interacting with her is a real pleasure. I love doctor Goldenberg I just do not like the lack of professionalism of her staff. They seem rude on the phone and even when checking in they are loud with their side conversations and continue talking about about non work related conversations when you are standing there which is very unprofessional.

Never calls with results. Never calls back even if office tells you she will. Does not make eye contact. Orders tons of tests and never explains results. You have to make an appt to even talk to her then she won't look you in the eye! She talks to you as if nothing about you is important. I will NEVER go back to this doctor and I told her that personally because I was so tired of her unprofessionalism. Consider yourself warned.

Disappointed. After ordering bloodwork, an expensive nutritional test and another more targeted test, I had to nag to get the results each time. She talked around my questions in person, & after tests no phone call to explain, just their email system- after 3 weeks of more nagging . All she did was post the lab results, no explanation. What I read said no problem, but it contradicts what she told me. Again, no explanation. Ordered meds without explaining to me. Very frustrated. Not going back.

This Doctor does not take the time to explain anything. She talks in code and stares at the computer screen. I saw her for hypothyroidism and after getting blood work did not receive a phone call to discuss results or treatment. My husband came home one day from the pharmacy with extra medicine that was there waiting for me. This happened 2 more times with increases to medication and no communication. After 6 months, she told me I had hashimoto's and low Serotonin, which she did nothing about.
