Terrible facility. It's impossible to schedule an appointment. They will push you off for months, never call back or check messages. They will "monitor" your condition for 6 months, but takes 8 months to schedule an appointment. Don't waste your time, find any other pulmonary doc in the area.

I wait through 18 months of the pandemic to be treated. The Dr is so old he shuffles when he walks, speaks very slowly & in the end told me he didn't know what was wrong with me, come back in 6 months, maybe it will go away on its own!?!? I've had asthma for 30 years but because it didn't show up on any of his tests, he wouldn't treat me. Went back to my primary care doc, put on a new med that works great, no tests needed!

Nobody calls back, don't believe their message. When I finally waited 35 minutes on hold, they told me they had no appointments this month and to call back on the last day of the month when they open up appts. for the next month. I called them today, the last day of the month and they said they would call right back. Of course they never did. I called my health care insurance company for a different referral. I’m really surprised by the negative reviews! I’ve been a patient at this office for many years and have seen more than 1 provider. The office staff are always above and beyond friendly and professional, and so is every provider. This is a busy practice and each patient requires a different level of care. You may need to wait longer at one visit, but be the patient that causes other to wait the next time. Medicine has evolved like everything else, so set up a patient portal and use it! Everything can be competed far more efficiently and you’ll have access to your up to date medical information 24/7. Receptionist not so courteous and unprofessional. But nurses and doctors are exceptionally great .

You will never get an appointment. No one answers the phone. No one from scheduling ever calls back. There are a ton of other pulmonologists in the Roseville/Sacramento area. Go somewhere else.

I have an appointment with them in a few hours. It would've been nice if their hours were posted somewhere. I can't get anyone on phone.

These "people" should revisit the Hippocratic oath they supposedly took. "First, do no harm"???? How about holding on to a referral for THREE WEEKS before denying it with no reasons given? How on earth is THAT medically helpful to the community?? There have GOT TO BE better choices for medical care for anyone whos' life you value!

This was the rudest doctor I have ever talked to. I don't know if he was just having a horrible day but he shouldn't take his anger out on patients. He was getting loud on the phone with me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Dont recommend him at all. Worst doctor ever and I will report him.

Dr. Lischner is the most «human» of all the Physicians I have mer during the last 10 years. I went into my appointment scared to death. Came out feeling more healthy than when I went in. Spent time explaining my results, came up with a ver cogent treatment plan. Followed me up very closely. Wish all doctors could be like him.

Terrible doctor worst experience ever

I would rate a zero if i had choice.i called as new patient and had to leave message and message said id get call back in 24 hours. Its been 120 hours now and no call yet. He wont be in business too long with such poor customer service.

The first time I visited Dr. Lischner he diagnosed me with something my other pulmonologist had missed for years and it is very rare. I am very grateful. He has always been kind and efficient and given me great care. I wish I could say the same for my insurance.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lischner for several years now and have received not only the best "bedside mannerisms" but a caring I have not received by some other doctors in the area.

I have had Dr Lischner since 2003 and have found him to be very efficient. After my collapsed lung and lung cancer he is the only one who has been able to cure my respitory problems with a cold.

Dr. Lischner was monitoring my mother 2010 - 2013 because there was a spot or nodule on one of her lungs. At the end of that period, he told her the spot was not growing and he was not concerned. Fast forward 4 years: my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non Small Cell Lung cancer in May, 2017. We opened her a myhealth online account with Sutter in June, 2017. It was in that account that we researched her prior medical records and discovered that after the CT scan in 2010, the radiologist recommended a biopsy. After the CT scan in 2013, the radiologist recommended a PET scan. I am not a doctor, but can tell from the radiologist's notes in 2013 that there were changes and he suspected cancer. Dr. Lischner never mentioned further diagnostic procedures for my mother. In other words, I HOLD HIM RESPONSIBLE FOR DRASTICALLY SHORTENING MY MOTHER'S LIFE EITHER BECAUSE OF NEGLIGENCE OR POOR JUDGEMENT. Though my mother is undergoing treatment, the cancer is advancing and has metastasized into her bones. It had already spread to major lymph nodes and to the other lung by the time she was diagnosed. Short of a miracle, my mother may not see the end of this year. If you are considering Dr Lischner as your pulmonologist or are currently seeing him, I recommend you find yourself someone else, who takes seriously and urgently the input of the radiologist reading CT scans or Xrays and who discusses all diagnostic data openly with his/her patients. Clearly, Dr. Lischner is not this type of doctor. My mother should have been given the radiologist's recommendation back in 2010 to get a biopsy. Dr. Lischner withheld that information. Then, in 2013, my mother should have been told to get a PET scan, since the radiologist observed changes and attributes that suggested cancer. Dr. Lischner withheld that information. If my mother's cancer had been caught back in 2010, it is likely the cancer would have been at Stage 1 and considerably more treatable. My mother was extremely healthy and active. Now she can barely catch her breath when she walks across a room. I have never written a review about a doctor before. I'm fairly tolerant. I understand that doctors are humans - that they are not perfect. But Dr. Lischner's behavior is consistently poor and unprofessional. He didn't mess up just once! I would not trust him as my doctor and will certainly discourage anyone I know from going to him. Took well over two months to book an appointment. Was asked to show up 30 minutes early, so I did, then they kept me waiting for 45 minutes past my appointment time. The doctor ordered a CT scan for my lungs, and tells me the imaging center will call me to make an appointment. After a week of waiting to hear from someone, I decided to call the imaging center myself. Turns out that PMA never sent the order to them. Three days after the CT scan I called PMA to get the results, AS DIRECTED BY THE DOCTOR, and I get sent to a voicemail box. I left a message and didn't hear back for a week. I leave a second voicemail and finally get a call back telling me that the doctor still hasn't reviewed my CT scan. Now I have to wait another month for a follow up visit with the nurse practitioner. Meanwhile I am having trouble breathing, terrible night sweats, low grade fever, and have lost almost 40 pounds in the last 5 months. This has been the worst experience ever! Unfortunately I don’t recommend Dr. Lischner. I’m concerned he does not listen to my answers to his questions. He re-states what he says are my responses into a computer-based dictation program, except that the information recited is inconsistent with the answers I provide. He has also stated that there is nothing wrong with me, though I have been treated by a team of board certified medical specialists for ongoing medical conditions affecting my lungs for up to 30 years and he knows this.

ZERO?? If I could give negative numbers, his would be -10. He told me I did not have Severe Asthma after being treated for it since my Birth?? He stated I has a bad cough and maybe some allergies. He took me OFF ALL MY ASTHMA MEDS CAUSING A YEAR LONG REACTION THAT SENT ME TO THE HOSPITAL 4 SEPERATE TIMES WITH BI-.LATERAL PNEUMONIA. I GAINED WEIGHT AS I COULD NOT BREATH WHILE EXCERCISING. SADLY, THIS TOWN COVERS UP INCOMPETANCIES IN ITS DR.S AND THEY REMAIN A CLOSED GROUP TILL A PATIENT DIES??

Dr. Lischner did not inform my mother of CT results and recommendations by a radiologist for CT scans done in 2010 and 2013. Instead he told her everything was fine. 4 years later, in May, 2017, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. In 2010 the radiologist recommended a biopsy, In 2013 the radiologist recommended a PET scan. The radiologist was concerned about cancer and Lischner overlooked his recommendations and told my mom she was fine. He should not be practicing medicine.

Dr. Lischner is a wonderful doctor. During my appointments Dr. Lischner takes his time and goes over all of my test results and thoroughly explains everything to me. He is a very patient and caring individual. I wish they [doctors] were like him.
