They are awesome

Dr. Busam and his entire staff are very warm, welcoming, and professional. He is gentle, patient, very knowledgeable, and seems to genuinely care about the well-being of his patients. He does not push surgery at all; in fact, he told me that the only time he recommends surgery is when the patient tells him that the pain is so bad, they would like to choose surgery. I would strongly recommend him and therefore have given him the highest rating.

I am a patient of Dr. Busam. He has a very caring and nurturing demeanor. He explains things thoroughly and takes time to listen and take any questions. I had an unfortunate incident which led to a torn rotator cuff injury. After reading several experiences from different patients of other surgeons, I was a bit anxious for this surgery. Dr. Busam's patients appeared to have better experiences. I did request that I meet with PTs of Orthopaedics and Sports Rehab prior to my surgery. I knew this was not a usual practice, but they accommodated me. In meeting with Kadi Crowell, the PT assigned to me, and Derek, the manager, that would be caring for me post-surgery, they took time to listen to concerns, answer all questions and walked me through what to expect. When I left, I was assured that I was in good hands. Following my surgery, I was informed, that my injuries were more extensive than what the MRI showed. Dr. Busam noted that I had tears in 2 places and also had a bicep tendon tear. Had Dr Busam not been so thorough, that would have led to other surgeries. He took care of everything! The following day, I met with Kadi and Dr. Busam. I felt a little nauseous and they helped me through it. (Later, I thought it was the pain meds that was making me sick so I stopped taking it. I NEVER HAD ANY PAIN POST SURGERY! Granted, I have a high tolerance to pain, but I literally had no pain.) PT was just as I expected. I was challenged, but did my very best to do everything they encouraged me to do. At my 6 weeks visit, I realized, I had overcome so many of the challenges and concerns that I initially had. I looked forward to each visit. I really was in good hands. Kadi was an exceptional PT and Dr. Busam was nothing short of amazing. I am very grateful!!!! No bedside manner and knows everything.

I would highly recommend Dr. Busam for any orthopaedic concerns or injuries. Earlier this year I ruptured a pec tendon which was traumatic and very scary. But Dr. Busam did an excellent job at easing my concern by explaining the repair process and answering all the questions I had about the procedure and the recovery. He also took the time during our post-op appointments to just see how I was doing and to encourage me that I will heal and that I will be okay. I had confidence in him from day one. I would highly encourage anyone to consider him. If you're an athlete of any type I would definitely recommend you consider him for an injury because he understands that as an athlete, we will want to return to that specific activity/sport even if it was what caused the injury. For me personally, he was up front about the expectations and encouraged me to get back into the same activities I was doing before the injury. Initial impression, very precise, fact based care. Pleasant staff.

Dr Busam genuinely cares about his patients. He takes all the time you need for him to answer questions. I was seen quickly and I never felt rushed. His staff is also very caring, pleasant and professional.

Dr. Busam has the best bed side manners I have seen in a very long time. I was putting on my glasses to see my scans when he said " lets take a look at your knee first, "You are more important than your pictures" he took time to do a through exam, review scans and explain everything to me and then sat down and reviewed all options. He made it feel like he had all the time in the world for me. I work in medical field and he was perfect example of how patients should be treated!!!!! Thank you. Kristy

Fantastic. Dr. Busam repaired our daughter's torn labrum in her left shoulder in February 2019 and our son's torn meniscus in his right leg in January 2020. He is extremely pleasant, careful to explain all facets of care, and shows genuine concern for the healing of his patients and their families. A top notch surgeon and care provider.
