Matthew Don Gillihan

I called for an appointment the first week of August because of severe vertigo, and had to wait three months for an appointment. When I finally got to see him, I was sent for testing. I had to wait a month and a half for an appointment for testing. That was mid-December. After the test was finished, I went to his office to ask for a follow up appointment. I was told that I had to wait until they got the test results and they would call me to set an appointment. When I tried to call yesterday to ask for a followup appointment, the phone had been disconnected. I attempted to go to his office, only to discover he's out of business. NO notice to patients. NO referral to another doctor. Now, I'm stuck seeing another ENT and starting all over. My ear feels full, I can't hear as well out of that ear, I have a severe case of vertigo. I cannot drive. I need to use a walker. The hearing loss may well be permanent because this problem has gone on for so long. If I could give no stars, I would. If you don't want permanent hearing loss, see another ENT.

Everyone very friendly and helpful.

Once I got to their new office, the isut went fine.

I was seen quickly and Dr Gillihan examined me and addressed my concerns.

Very personable, thorough, and made sure all my questions were answered. Didn't have too long of a wait. Highly suggest!

Great staff. Excellent communication. Doc that tells you what you need to hear in simple terms and no bs.

I like Dr G. Alot. I'm a no nonsense kinda guy, and Dr G. Is straight to the point, no candy coating. I appreciate that. From my perspective he knows his craft.

Dr. Gillihan is a very experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful doctor. Appointments are pretty quick and not rushed.

Great appointment!

Staff very professional and friendly

There was a minimal wait to see the doctor. All was done quickly and efficiently.

Staff was friendly and professional Doctor was friendly nice and professional told me what he thought my options are help me decide what to start with They called me in two minutes before my appointment time

Didn't have to wait, very friendly staff. Dr friendly and knowledgeable

From beginning on 1st appointment to post op everything went smoothly with no hiccups! Appointments were on time with very little waiting which was really a blessing. Dr Gilligan and staff were very friendly and totally professional. Thank you so much for making my life better!

Dr. Gillihan is a skilled and caring surgeon. I was very please with my surgery. I would highly recommend him.

The office was really clean and the wait time was not long at all. The office staff called multiple times to confirm my appointment. However, once I got into the room to talk with the doctor I felt he was rushing me. I must have been in that room for no longer than 5 minutes.

I’ve had an issue with providers lying or down playing procedures in the past and he was no different. Seeing that I had a lot of anxiety getting my stitches and splints taken out after my septoplasty surgery he should’ve told me the truth to lessen my anxiety but when I asked if it’ll hurt he said “no it’ll just be annoying” so I believed him and when he cut the stitch there was an intense sharp pain and since I wasn’t expecting it, it sent my anxiety through the roof. I was crying thinking about the pain the splints are going to be since he said those were also annoying I figured it would be the same “annoying” that the stitches were. I started to panic and he raised his voice telling me “come on” “they can’t stay in there” “let’s get this over with” while hovering over me with scissors and forceps. He did nothing to try and calm me down or atleast be patient with me as I was literally telling him “please give me a second I wasn’t expecting that to hurt” in fact he had the nerve to act annoyed after we got done and quickly bolted out of the room when I kept apologizing for panicking. Worst experience so far with a provider. Also put gloves on, forgot his loops so touched the door to open and go grab his loops (head lamp/glasses) and placed them on his head without changing gloves before touching sterile instruments and my nose. Dr Gillihan and his team are professional and friendly. Dr Gillihan took the time to listen, diagnose and alleviate my problem. Will be back if the issue happens again.

I got in to see him quickly. He is personable, thorough, professional and pleasant.

I had seen another ENT in the city in which I live; however, when he recommended surgery but would not take time to answer my questions, I found Dr Gillian. I am SO GLAD I did! Dr Gillian performed a different surgery entirely, answered every question I had, even some I couldn’t put into words & I am so very happy with the care I received! The staff is wonderful! The office is clean. Having had a lifetime of sinus trouble, I can easily say that Dr Gillian is the BEST ENT I have ever seen. Knowledgable, compassionate, willing to take the time to answer ALL your questions, even those u don’t know you have! I highly recommend him!

I am so pleased with the fine care I received from Dr. Gillihan and his wonderful staff. At every point in my ongoing care, he responded to every question and concern quickly and intelligently and performed a medical procedure which has provided welcome relief to long-term sinus problems.

My surgery was very quick and easy. The staff made me feel very comfortable and I didn't feel nervous at all. I was also very happy with my follow up appointments. Dr. Gillihan never charged me for any of them. He even had a CT scan done on me to make sure my sinuses were completely cleaned up and he never charged for it! Dr. Gillihan is always open to answer any questions and takes time to consult with you.

I have rated Dr. Gillihan with an excellent in all categories which really says it all. I have been a life long allergy and sinus sufferer. Most recently my signs were head ache, tooth pain, and nasal airway congestion for 5 months. I received prompt scheduling, thorough exam, same day sinus scan, and treatment plan. 8 weeks post op—I CAN BREATHE through my nose — and the pain is gone. The bottom line with any healthcare provider is was the problem resolved? My answer is a resounding - Yes

My son and husband have been seeing Dr. Gilligan for almost 3 years now. He is genuine and fair. He has amazing bedside manners while also being familiar but professional. He has always been exceptionally great to us and we would recommend him to anyone needing an ENT. We travel from almost 4 hours away just to see him and get care from him. That should speak volumes to anyone reading this review. His office staff is AMAZING and makes insurance business easy and transparent. We recommend!!!!!!!!

DR. MATTHEW GILLIHAN, MD DID A SINUS ENDO W/BALLON DIL IN MAY 2017. HE OPENED UP A BLOCKAGE WHICH I HAVE HAD FOR YEARS. I AM 88 YEARS OLD. I COULD SMELL MY NEW CAR SMELL RIGHT AWAY. I LOST MY WIFE RECENTLY AFTER 66 YEARS AND MY DAUGHTER USED HER PONDS CREAM JUST LAST WEEK. I COULD SMELL IT AFTER 6 MONTHS AFTER PROCEDURE. I AM VERY BLESSED TO HAVE A SENSE OF SMELL DUE TO DR.
