Dr. Johansen and his staff are absolutely the BEST !!!! I had total knee replacement and I could not be more impressed about their skill and care. Julie and Emily are simply Fantastic and always responsive with knowledge based answers. I HIGHLY reccomend this team to anyone that wants it done by the best.

Julie injected both of my knees. She is FABULOUS!! She takes the time to locate the exact place of your pain. Hence, I am pain free for at least three months!! She’s kind, caring and oh so smart!! Thank you so much!!!

I was referred to Dr. Johansen because of a hip issue. It turned out I needed hip replacement surgery. The surgery went well and I am most happy with the results. Therefore, I most highly recommend Dr. Johansen. He is thorough in his approach and better yet, he’s always on time, so you are not stuck in the waiting room wondering when you will be seen. Also, I recently have muscle spasms that travel down the back of my legs, which is very painful. He gave me options and I am now recovering. He’s a great doctor!!! I had a hip replacement last March and I'm so much better than the first time I meet Dr Johansen and his assistant and all the staff and physical therapy staff very nice and understanding answer all the questions I was born with a hip socket problem and had surgeries as a child and I highly recommend Dr Johansen I'm not in pain I walk so much better I Thank God for putting them in my life very trustworthy! Dr. Johansen is thorough, very informative, and he has a lively attitude which makes the patient at ease. I would highly recommend this doctor to everyone! I am 2 weeks since surgery and love the therapy recommended!

I had a great experience with Dr A Johansen and his nurse. He did a wonderful job with my total hip replacement.

DR.Johansen is very to the point discussing what my problem was about my knee. He answered all my questions. The more I talk with him the more I like him. I am very happy he done my knee replacement would recommend him very highly.

I was very nervous about having knee replacement surgery but Dr. Johansen and his team took the time to answer all my questions and put me at ease. I'm one year post op now and feel 20 years younger! I've recommended Dr. Johansen to my friends. Top notch orthopedic surgeon.

Dr Johansen was wonderful. I am very happy with the results of my recent, 3 weeks ago, total hip replacement. Walking so much better, pain free. Getting back to normal activities is my goal. ????

Dr Johansen replaced both my knees over a three month period this summer . He completely. Prepared me for my surgeries as far as what to expect with the surgery and recovery. My scar is hardly noticeable and I can now walk pain free! I would recommend Dr Johansen to any one needing total knee replacement .

Really listened to my problems and explained what was going on and a clear path and plan for resolution. Extremely happy with this experience.

Awesome experience. Virtually no wait from the time you get there to the time you see the medical assistant and the doctor. Very detailed and courteous. Highly recommend.

Dr. Johansen has the most caring heart. He takes the time to listen and does not give up on you. I can’t say that for other docs. He got me through a very difficult time and with his knowledge and professional approach I am moving around with less pain and getting g stronger every day.

Even after only three weeks since my total knee replacement, I suspect this doctor is rather gifted at what he does because my healing has been an ideal, textbook progression (for reference, 64 yrs. old; no sports/athletic background, slightly overweight, plagued with osteoarthritis). There are not enough good words I can say about my experience at Beacon. I was checked in immediately upon arrival. Taken back to change my cloths. The nurse Rhonda, explained everything I needed to do. The Doctor who did my spinal explained everything to me. Dr. Johansen visit before surgery was very reassuring. Once in OR I was very well taken care of. After I woke up the PT lady was great and after I got up to the chair everybody made sure I was O K. My experience at Beacon was great. I had a total right hip joint replacement May 2021. Dr Johansen said we were going to get it fixed and he did. I woke up with zero pain ( except) surgery pain. It truly was awesome. Therapy and my great doctor got me well and still have no hip pain. Dr Johansen is truly the best hip doctor. If you need a consult he is the one to see.

Dr. Johansen is an excellent doctor. He did my knee replacement 1 year ago. He explains everything to you and is very professional. His entire staff make your appointment a breeze. Thanks to all of you for all you have done to make my knee better.

My second knee replace 8 years apart the pain management and going home the same day was much improved. The wound management that allowed me to shower the day after surgery and lower risk of infection by getting me home the same day was outstanding

I was seen in a relatively short period of time. The physician assistant was the individual who interacted with me the most. Dr. Johansen basically discussed immediate and long term treatment options. Good covid precautions.

Dr Johansen is one of the best I've ever had. He obviously cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. I would recommend him over and over again.

He did a total knee for me and it has done so well. Now I need another one and he is not in network with my insurance. I’m so sad! I would go to him again in a heartbeat!

Dr Johansen has been amazing during my recent knee replacement complications! (First surgery NOT done by Dr Johansen)His bedside manner and his compassion for all that I am going through is A++! Julie his PA shared the same amount of compassion and is 5 stars as well!! I feel there was an angel watching over me by having Dr. Johansen as the doc on call when my need for an emergency surgery came about and have felt blessed ever since !!

Already have recommended Dr Johansen. To Diane Brownlee and my mother. Mildred Schulte. Was very happy with my doctor and with the way everything went. All was just as described to me up front. I am back to being able to do the things I did before the surgery and not needing to be dependent on anyone to help me. That happened pretty quickly. Everyone was ready to answer any questions and very friendly. Physical therapy team was awesome too.

Everything about my surgery and recovery was positive. I put off my surgery for too long because I couldn't find a doctor I liked. I'm so glad I found Dr. Johansen. I highly recommend him if you are in need of hip or knee replacement. Plus he has a wonderful bed side manner. I'm pain free now and no limping. Life is good. Thank you Matt.

Dr Johansen and his assistant Rachael Dilts were both great in helping me through 2 knee replacements 3mo apart. The scars are small and am recovering quickly. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I call Dr. Johansen a "miracle man". I suffered with pain in my right hip for years because I thought it was a back problem. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Johansen and he told me it was my hip and I needed hip replacement surgery. I had my hip replaced two weeks later. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The day of the surgery I was up walking with no pain. Dr. Johansen is extremely nice and compassionate - he is a GREAT doctor. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Johansen,he is the BEST

I cannot shower Dr. Johansen with adequate adulation to convey my sincere gratitude. His guidance and steady hand have aided me beyond words and provided me with the means and ability to recover completely from my prison of misery caused by bone spurs, inflammation, and degeneration of my hip joints.

He may be young, but he knows his stuff! The team at Beacon Orthopedics is really top notch. After physical therapy and an injection didn't do much for me, Dr. Johansen was the one to walk me through (no pun intended) my options for hip replacement. He explained the entire procedure and answered all of my questions. I am three days out of surgery and the constant pain is finally gone!
