Melissa Shive

Going to see the doctor isn’t always fun, especially when you have a concern. Melissa was kind and very attentive. She made it easy to open up to her about my concerns and her bedside manner and empathy were exceptional. She had some other doctors, I’m guessing they were students or observing doctors with her and at first I was concerned that I would be seen as a subject or a teaching opportunity. Instead, I felt so very cared for, they were very respectful and helpful. Not once did I feel like I was receiving less attention or substandard care. In fact, seeing how Dr. Shive worked with these other doctors gave me an even closer look into the kind of person and mentor she is. Melissa answered all of my questions, didn’t make me feel ashamed or silly for asking for clarification and she asked me questions in a way that allowed me to voice my needs and fears. It was easy to get an appointment and her office staff was friendly and courteous. Thank you Dr. Shive.
