Dr. Michael R. Bernui

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bernui and the care he has given to both of my children. Trust is a hard thing to give up when you have complex things happen to your kids. Dr. Bernui found answers and long term solutions. I prayed for help and wow did God deliver. In response to the negative review about cost and only treating the wealthy. I am a single mom and a sped teacher. My car has almost 300,000 miles on it and I’m living with family. I’ve had a tough year, but I’ve made sacrifices to make this work. Dr. Bernui, along with other doctor’s who practice integrative medicine are held hostage by insurance companies. Insurance dictates what doctors can and cannot do. Patients should have a choice in care. So really if you want to one star Dr. B, your frustration is misplaced. Energy should be focused on changing how insurance denies this type of care. Honestly, traditional medicine alone would have cost so much more in my daughter’s case. Something needs to change, but in the meantime I say this doctor is worth everything I’ve paid him and every sacrifice I’ve made to access his care. I reached out to Dr. Bernui's office because I've been struggling with gastritis for several months and hoped they could help. I stated that I'm a low income person with no insurance hoping that they would offer a sliding scale rate. I was told point blank that the visit would be nearly $700 to speak with his NP and nearly $900 to speak with the doctor. This fee does not include medical testing and will be another near $200 if the appointment goes over. It is wildly unethical to only treat the wealthiest clients, which is clearly what this office is doing. In March I was in the hospital 3 times in a week both at Summit and Vanderbilt with almost 90 hours of eegs and all kinds of tests ran to get to the bottom of uncontrollable seizures. Onmy last stay, I was diagnosed with psychosomatic seizures, meaning it was all in my head, and perhaps from supressed issues. Knowing this was not true, and feeling hopeless, 15 days later I met with the most compassionate doctor I have ever met. Dr. Bernui listened intently and took notes continually, and asked a considerable amount of questions to get to the bottom of my issues. He never promised immediate fix,but did have a game plan, suspecting at a minimum Lyme Disease. After a 28 day detox accompanied by extensive lab and urine and nutrition tests, Lyme still being treated along with extreme lead contamination, and further follow up of mold toxicity. Although I have met insurance deductible through the traditional medical community, they no longer have my vote for the care of my whole body.

Dr. Bernui and the treatment protocol is making noticeable improvement in my day to day life and health. I am in it for the long haul to become healthy and kill the disease in my body.

Unprofessional and rude. Also prescribed potentially deadly combo of meds with major interactions and realized it a week later. This guy shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine.

Dr. Bernui addresses all of our questions. He knows a lot and always knows what we are talking about when we bring in our Internet research. He is patient and always takes the time needed to help us out. Wish we could take him home with us. He also prays with us at the end of each visit.

Dr. Bernui was my primary physician for years. he got tired of treating the symptoms and wanted to get to the root problems. I've never felt better. He has a servants heart and a gentle soul. He prays with every patient afterwards.

I was sick for 14 years, and no one could figure out what was wrong. One doctor told me my problem was the shampoo I was using and to switch to baby shampoo. Uhmmm, hmmm. SMH. A chiropractor told me there was nothing wrong with me, it was all in my head. Sure. Dr. Bernui knew at my first visit with him, and bloodwork confirmed that I had Lyme disease, Bartonella, and heavy metal toxicity, specifically mercury from dental fillings. He has gotten me well, and I am so very thankful for him!

Dr Bernui is a blessing to me as he seems to really care about my progress and recovery. The main ingredients in my treatment are : he follows Dr Bredesen's protocol, and he knows the power of prayer after each visit and calls on the Great Physician's healing touch. A great comfort to know my Creator God's hand remaking refreshing and restoring me!

Everything about Dr. Bernui is good, except he is always running behind!

I can see the wheels turning as he tries to connect the symptom dots and figure out the root cause.

He is the best doctor I've ever been too. He is a great listener and real truly cares about his patients.

If you are looking help, this is the place to go. Absolutely the best experience I have ever had with a doctor! He gave me hope when no one else would! God has truly blessed this man with a gift.

This place is AWESOME!! My son has autism and he has been coming to Dr. Bernui since May of this year. And he has help him in so many ways. My son has come a long way since he has been coming here.The staff is a great group of people and very friendly. I Thank god everyday for sending him my way because I know my son will have a voice.The only thing that is holding you from getting the help you need is a phone call.You want be disappointed. He listens has no arrogance and has a gentle compassion. This is on top of knowing his stuff . Great leadership flows from top down and his staff has the same wonderful qualities.
