Dr. Michael J. Oechsel

Dr. Oechsel should retire rather than just phoning it in every day. Has no real concern about his patients. Just goes through the motions. Really a failure as a doctor.

I recently saw Dr. Oechsel for a knee problem. I had seen him several times 5 or 6 years ago. He was very professional and concerned about my problem. I was nervous and he tried to put me at ease in a very sincere manner. He explained what was going to happen and took the time to educate me. His nurse, Sandy, was excellent and they worked well together. I believe in using a sense of humor in stressful or difficult situations which they both expressed appropriately. The best! I am a physical therapist who has worked in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation in the Bay Area for over twenty years, and have worked with post-op patients from all the major orthopedic clinics in the area. So, when I wrecked my knee and had to choose which physician was going to repair it, I could make a well-informed decision. Having treated literally hundreds of post-op patients over the years, I based my choice on which patients had the quickest recovery and best overall results. The Bay Area is fortunate to have many quality orthopedic surgeons to pick from, but Dr. Oechsel is truly the pro’s pro. He went over my MRI carefully with me, provided me with treatment options, and gave me his recommendation. My surgery went smoothly, I followed Dr. Oechsel’s rehab guidelines, and my knee now feels fantastic. I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Oechsel’s surgical expertise and the personable manner in which he communicated with me through the entire process – from initial visit to final post-op check-up.
