Dr. Naushad Abdul Salam Shaik

I saw Dr. Shark today and I am only giving him a 1 star because that is the lowest rating available to choose from. I have NEVER encountered a doctor so RUDE, arrogant, narcissistic, and demeaning in my life. Before I could answer the questions he asked me he aggressively and sarcastically was telling me how it wasn’t possible. For example, I told him I was there because while doing cardiac rehab at Celebration AdventHealth Hospital, the nurses removed me from the treadmill three minutes into my warm up because I was throwing PVC’s. He said in an angry voice, “Are you sure they were real PVC’s…did you see them?” It was concerning enough that they asked me to see my cardiologist so here we are! He also asked about my lifestyle and I told him I work a lot that I’m very driven. He abruptly interrupted me and responded with, “Whose to say you are more driven than me!” WHAT? I think you just asked ME about my lifestyle! He very rudely concluded that I was fine but would have an EKG done and reconvene to which he said I needed to purchase as $80 App, monitor my heart activity, and let my regular cardiologist (Also in that office, and AMAZING, but hard to get in with) know, should there be any cardiac event. My full intention is to report him to the hospital, and additionally any board that has anything to do with his license. He doesn’t care about his patients and needs lessons in kindness and interaction with the human race at the very least, and anger management perhaps! His final words to me were, “Dr. Mathias is a plumber and I am a electrophysiologist”. I’d say Dr. Mathias needs a new electrician because this one doesn’t belong in the same building, let alone the same practice as him. NO COMPARISON!!! UPDATE: Upon reading my patient portal After Visit Summary, he stated to me that my EKG was normal and my notes state otherwise as an Abnormal electrocardiography. He also listened that I was there for “Encounter for pre-operative cardiovascular clearance.” I have NEVER been told I needed surgery so I clearly wasn’t there for that reason! PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION when entertaining the idea of securing his services…

Dr Shaik was very knowledgable and took his time when I visited, but this office is one of the worst I’ve had to go to. After my initial visit, the doctor told me they would put a heart monitor on and would contact me to have me come in. Weeks passed by, no call. Called a few times, they said they’d call back. Eventually called more times, had to leave multiple voicemails because no one answered the phone. Took me a month or more to finally get something scheduled, after my initial visit. After that, I come in to do the monitor, it gets put on, and I bring it back. They call me a week later or so to ask me when I’m coming in to get it put on.. I explain that they’ve already put it on and taken it back. They don’t have any record of this, and they don’t have my heart results. I tell them the dates and show images of wearing it and proof of me giving it back. Then I receive the same exact call with the same damn questions 3 more times. They don’t write notes in the patient profile I guess.. I cancelled all my appointments and I’m taking my longterm business somewhere else. I went through more stress and chest pain dealing with them than what I even went in for. Bottomline is that I think if you’re not dying or have a serious problem ($$$) they don’t take your visits seriously and waste your time.

I had surgery with Dr Shaik 3 years ago. It was successful and I go to get checked now every 6 months. The level of attention is comforting when go to for my check ups. I would definitely recommend Dr Shaik! The staff is very friendly as well.

In my visit with Dr Shaik I found him to be a very good listener. In my case he felt that I would need another Doctor as his specialty did not cover my heart issues. Was very straightforward and helped make an appointment for the other Doctor too. I liked him a lot.

Dr Shaik was on time to see me. Thorough and explained EKG result and explained plan of care. Took only 20 mins from check in to leaving the office.

Dr Shaik is an understanding Cardiologist who listens then prescribes the best course of action.

Very Rude! Talks over you! Made us leave his office because my mom had tested positive for Covid 18 days ago! Mind you she had tested negative the day before the appointment with Dr Shaik. Said he would do a phone appointment amd he never called! This doctor is really terrified of a patient who had Covid!

I was seen in a timely manner very professional nurse took my Basics and the doctor was in several minutes there after. We discussed my situation and he made recommendations for some changes in medication which I concurred with.

Dr. Shaik and his office team are the best. He helped me resolve my AFIB. He led the team for my Cardioversion. I can't say enough about the professionalism and care provided. I highly recommend him.

Dr.Shaik is the most professional and talented physician I have ever had the opportunity to entrust my care to… not only is he personable and thorough he is caring and driven to help me achieve my health goals.

I had a cardioversion and an ablasion at the beginning of this year. Dr. Shaik performed the procedure and was extremely informative. He kept us apprised of what was going on before during and after. He talked to me and my wife as if we were real people and not in "Doctor speak". He came highly recommended by one of his colleagues and now I see why. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. Had a great experience with Dr. Shaik and his team. They were able to see me quickly in the office and took great care of me. This was my first time seeing a Cardiologist and I am glad I chose him.

Staff and Dr. Shaik treat everyone with caring and professional. Have recommended this office to several people.

He takes his time to get things right. He alwaylistens to what I have to say.

After seeing several cardiologists I was referred to Dr Shaik for an evaluation for my Afib condition. I had taken several medications & although I explained to him that I had a history of multiple bleeding ulcers, he prescribed Multaq 400. I had severe adverse reactions: chest pain, tightness, fatigue, headaches, etc. I kept on complaining about the pressure on my chest but Dr. Shaik insisted in the ablation which I wasn't ready. He would not change the medication & kept on telling me that he was not going to help me until I decided to help myself. My condition got worse & worse so my PCP sent me for a CT of my lungs. THE RESULT WAS ATELECTASIS & GROUND GLASS OPACITY. I ended up in the hospital & my PCP thought I had lung cancer. After 10 days out of that medication my lungs were clear. I was then referred to another electrophysiologist at Orlando Health. I felt so much confidence in the new doctor that I decided to do the ablation with him. It has been a month & I am extremely happy.

Dr Shaik is an excellent EP doc.

I echo what has been said previously in that he is very smart and equally rude. He refused to see me even though I had an appointment that had been scheduled in advance by his office and I have been a patient at the practice for over 15 years (my regular doctor was not available and so I was scheduled with him). He spent his time outside of the door arguing with the desk staff about who had put me on his schedule and announcing that he would not see me rather than just come into the exam room where I had been waiting for literally over an hour to simply speak with me. When he did finally come into the room he only managed to upset me. Skilled surgeon but lacks empathy and bedside manner. Unprofessional.

Dr shaik is a great Dr. BUT...the office staff is impossible to access. Have called for a week with an issue and no one has returned my call. Impossible to ever get a live person!!

Very smart. Very rude. Dismissive. Poor, check that, awful listener. His device installation failed and nearly killed my wife. He couldn’t be bothered to hear what happened much less correct his mistake. Never again.

Dr Shaik is a terrific doctor. We have complete trust in him. I have seen other cardiologist and they were great, but Dr Shaik is awesome. Both my husband and myself go to him.

Dr Shaik talks down to his patients and is very rude. When he ask you a question and you try to answer he cuts you short.. He lets you know that he is more educated than you are. Does not want to listen to his patients concerns and fears. if you call the office because you are concerned about about your health and you see him he lets you know that you interfered with his busy day Good doctor but rude and insulting to his patients.
