Our previous pediatrician chose not to take our medical insurance, so we switched to Dr. Pineda. I was very disappointed. While it is not his fault, I had quite a lot of difficulty understanding him with his thick accent. That is not the worst part. My daughter is 11 and a half, weighs 127 pounds and is 5'3" tall. I have seen obese children in real danger of staying obese and children who seriously need to be on a diet as I am a teacher here in Osceola County. My daughter is NOT one of them. Dr. Pineda actually told us that my daughter should weigh EIGHTY POUNDS. I was shocked. In order ot do that, she would need to lose FORTY SEVEN pounds. Dr Pineda and staff are #1. My children seen him from a few months old till age 18. He was always the best and took his time with us. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I have no words for this amazing doctor . He is my doctor since my older son was 7 years, now he is 25 and I have 2 more kids , 18 and 6 years old. I cant express my satisfaction and happiness with Dr. Pineda. Yes, you have to wait but is worth it!! He take the time to check your child and answer all your questions!! My husband & I have been taking all four of our children (11yr. old son / 11yr. old daughter / 5 & 3yr. old sons) to Dr. Pineda for about 5 an a half years now, right after our 5 yr. old son was born and we lived in the area. An honestly we DO NOT have one negative thing to say about him , his staff or his care for our children. He is a very gentle, caring and kind person who takes the time to get to know his patients, so if our wait is a little longer than normal that's ok, I know that he's putting in that extra time with other children as he does with ours and truly cares for each of them. Dr. Pineda also allows his patients to be able to reach him even if it's before or after office hours. Which we've had to utilize on a few occasions, an honestly I've NEVER had ANY doctor's personal/private phone number to be able to reach in case of an emergency!!! And if you need to be seen due to an emergency they will make a way to fit you in quickly! When our baby boy was born and was circumcised by doctors in the hospital my husband and I felt as if he hadn't taking enough skin off. And took him to be seen by Dr. Pineda to get his opinion. Which was not to worry about it and that he will grow into the fore skin. After our appt. my husband wasn't to sure that he was right in his advice, but after we agreed to not worry as he said. We started noticing that Dr. Pineda was right after all and now our son is a normal little boy down below! LOL And as for the receptionist she is AMAZING ALWAYS!!! When we call to make appts. or need any paperwork faxed or any information at all she is very personable and helpful. She also gives US phone calls to let us know when one of the children are due for any shots or physicals, which is a great big help for me, a mother with 4 children which isn't easy to keep up with at times. So when we moved to Davenport, Fla. we did not hesitate to make the drive to Dr. Pineda's office for each visit. it truly DID NOT cross our minds to change our children's doctor, Dr. Pineda and his staff is TRULY a GODS gift to our family and would not change him for NOTHING!!!!! It's been years since I have last seen Dr. Pineda due to a move on my end. I have nothing but great things to say about him. From day one he was very friendly but talked only Spanish to me. Once I told him I prefer english he did with no hesitation. I would bring my daughter in and he would know exactly what was wrong with her even before major symptoms were visible. We struggled with our daughter having recurring pneumonias and he said he thought it was the first stages of Asthma. He sent her for all necessary test and after all else was ruled out he was right she had the first stages of Asthma and a few allergies. I once went and my insurance for her was cut off without me knowing it. He could have easily sent me away but he said we are dealing with serious issues with your daughter and she is under my care. I will see her through until we figure out what is wrong with her and we will work out a payment plan no worries. And that is exactly what he did. Thankfully I got my insurance back but this goes to show you the kind of doctor he is. I'm not going to lie due to him seeing mainly medicaid patients the wait time is very long but he is worth it. Keep in mind he is a one doc practice and if you need him after hours guess what hes the only one on call. He will call you back! Most docs have multiple docs they share this responsibility with but not him. He does it all on his own. Even when he was over booked they always made room for my daughter in emergency situations. I will always be grateful for him for being so great with my daughter and helping us find out what was wrong with her. His priority are his patients. this office is very unprofessional. they do not go out of thier way for their patients they are the only office i know that will charge you 30$ no show fee for appointments! 2 kids equal 60 that you just dont have for missing an appointment. the medical assistant does not do her job i have asked her since february 2015 for some paper it is now April 2015 she finally did it. she gives out alot of false information and tells you things that the doctor wouldn't have. this office only cares about your visits so they can get your money.this office is a cold revolving door that forces you to get another pediatrician for you and your childs best interest. i left his office yesterday and one day later at a new office i have 3 referrals from the new doctor to better help my child. it took me 2 months to get these same referrals from pineda that i still didnt get neither am i going to keep waiting. this office is very unprofessional. they do not go out of thier way for their patients they are the only office i know that will charge you 30$ no show fee for appointments! 2 kids equal 60 that you just dont have for missing an … More

Worst pediatrician ever!!! my baby was about 2 months old when I took her to Dr pineda's office for the first time. I thought she was eating too much (I was giving her about 4 oz per feeding - she's a big baby) and wanted to hear Dr pineda's opinion...he said I could even give her 5-6 ounzes per feeding...come on! 5-6 to a 2 month old baby? I saw other pediatricians after him, of course, and none of them couldn't believe the answer I got from Dr. Pineda. When we got to dr pineda's office the a/c was off and it was really hot, so I asked the receptionist to turn it on. after about 10 min no air was coming out so I asked again. The receptionist said it was on but because it was an old office it might take a while to start feeling it. She told Dr pineda about it and he checked the a/c temp and put it in 72 degrees. When we went into the actual room were my baby was going to be seen it was freezing of course. I asked if he could turn the a/c down a little because it was freezing and he said "you wanted air so there you go"..my baby and I were freezing. I had to undress my baby completely even when the only body part he needed to check was the chest because she got a small rash, but he told me to undress her completely, so I did..and guess what? he only checked her chest!!!!. Usually when doctors are done checking the baby they tell you you can dress the baby but this man didn't say anything. I kept thinking he was going to check her completely and waited while he talked and checked information on his computer but he wasnt doing anything to the baby so I had to ask if I could dress her and he said yes. He was very rude. I talked to him in Spanish and he would answer in English every time with his super strong colombian accent!!! I was like WTF!!? he doesn't even speak english well!! I had to ask him to answer in Spanish. This is the kind of doctor I imagine working in a little room in his own home..maybe acceptable in a small village of Colombia, but not here!!
