Shot for shoulder pain was great, pain free
Hamilton showed caring, intelligence and professionalism. One couldn't ask for more.
Dr Kiritsis was to the point, thorough, got the answers I've been looking for that other doctors seemed to miss. Gave me options for the problem at hand. Then set up an appointment to get the issue fixed. Left feeling relieved.
Was reading my visit notes, half the things he claimed we discussed, we didn't. If you are overweight, don't bother going there, that's all he is seeing. Some of us might have been trying to lose weight for years with the scale not budging and have other medical issues, but he won't ask about that. Was very rushed. So stay away unless you are fit with an injury I guess.
Very arrogant person to be in medicine field

Wonderful surgeon. My shoulder is well on the mend, and I am enjoying 90% motion after only 6 weeks. Looking forward to being able to pitch a ball or horseshoes without constantly being in agony. I profoundly appreciate Dr. Kiritsis' skill from start to post-operative care.
Nice people and very friendly
Very knowledgeable staff, prompt with any of my concerns.
Dr. Kiritsis is very professional and knowledgeable and I highly recommend him
Staff and Dr Kirtsis was very professional and friendly. Dr Kirtsis demonstrated knowledge of his specialty and was very polite when given you constructive advice in regards to what I needed to do before a knee replacement can be scheduled..
After waiting 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment at 8am he asked me why I was there. Then he said there was nothing he could do for my knee and shoulder pain and I should go find someone else.
I am grateful that I don’t require surgery after a fall caused me to break my shoulder, but I would be certain that this kind man would be my surgeon should I need surgery in the future. Office staff, X-ray, etc., couldn’t have been nicer and easier to work with. On the day of my appointment which was just after my fall, I thought I was to see the NP but was surprised to see Dr K, after all. That was important to me for the first visit, especially. As I am starting to age and have joint issues in general, I feel confident that I have found a possible surgeon to help me through that phase of my life, when the time comes. A friend recommended him to me after her two children who needed care years ago. I would do the same after my encounter with Dr Kiritsis.
If you are obese, do not see this man. As a fat woman for most of my life and many conversations abut weight loss--I have to say that I have never interacted with such a rude and hateful doctor. Although he agreed with my regular ortho doctor that I need shoulder surgery, he said he refused to do it because of my weight (said because of anesthesia reasons). He sneered at me disgustingly and told me to lose weight and come back when I'd lost 50 pounds before he would do the surgery. He advised that in the meantime, continue getting injections from my regular ortho doctor "even though they wouldn't help much because I need surgery"?!?!?! Parting words were "oh by the way, we won't do joint replacements on you, either, unless you're under 40 BMI". Left feeling very fat-shamed and verbally abused. Followup: I am having shoulder surgery with another doctor and was told by two other doctors my weight is no issue with the shoulder surgery needed. If you're obese, DO NOT SEE THIS MAN.
Very helpful and informative.
First visit, everyone was nice and friendly. I felt well taken care of. Smooth transition from waiting room to x-ray to visit with nurse and them visit with Dr K.
Always personable and professional. He listens and cares.

Dr. Kiritsis is amazing from the lens of bed side manners, knowledge, honesty and expertise. He is my trusted Surgeon and my choice every time.
He is very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to our concerns/questions. His nurse was very nice and friendly too. Overall a great visit!
Have been a patient of Dr Kititsis for over 15 years which shows how much I trust him. He listens and shares his opinion on medical issues but is never pushy. Great doctor!
Can't say my visit was the best interaction I had. Spent less than 5 minutes with me. Looked at my x-rays, push and twisted my knee real quick and then told me I had the start of arthiritis but the main reason from my pain was I was too overweight. Proceeded to educate me about how much weight my knees were experiencing and even if I needed surgery, I wouldn't qualify because I'm too overweight. Recommended I start exercising more, perhaps swimming, cycling, walking (really up to me), continue to take tylenol and anti-inflammatory if needed. After that 5 minute exam, proceeded to tell me to call if I had any questions and then walked out the door. Felt pretty fat-shamed and didn't feel like my discomfort/pain was a real thing. Pretty disappointing considered all the raving reviews I'm seeing. Can't say my visit was the best interaction I had. Spent less than 5 minutes with me. First Dr Kiritsis may deserve 5 stars but I've only seen him once but was very impressed. He was pleasant but professional when entering the exam room. We exchanged a few pleasantries. He explained the x-rays, then gave my options along with restrictions associated and he asked if I understood. He listened to my reasons for being there & which option I felt best for me. Once agreed on actions he also explained any actions I needed to limit & those I needed to increase. I was in & out without feeling herded. Thank you Dr Kiritsis. Plus, Orthovirginia staff was, as always, the BEST with 4 surgeries and numerous office visits I feel qualified to give them 5 STARS ????. Having had surgery from Dr. Kiritsis 20 years ago I was happy to consult with him again. Now being treated for arthritis in both knees I never dreamed of going to anyone else.
Dr. Kiritsis is THE BEST! I have not one but two frozen shoulders from being a 42 yr diabetic veteran. He did a manipulation on my left shoulder and my quality of life has improved tremendously!! Now he is working on my right! Very kind! Will keep coming back time and again for such great care!

Dr. Kerritsis performed a reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder in March of this year. Although I had heard many negative comments about shoulder replacements, I experienced none of the issues discussed. In fact, this surgery was far easier than I anticipated, and my use of the shoulder involved is without the pain I originally experienced prior to the operation. I highly recommend Dr. Kerritsis, and he will be operating on my left shoulder in the near future! Dr. Kerritsis performed a reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder in March of this year. The staff at Ortho Va. were all friendly and welcoming. Dr Kiritis was professional and knowledgeable. The clinic is clean and efficient.
Dr. Kiritsis explained the problem with my shoulder and gave his recommendation. Answered all my questions. Very pleased with my initial consultation. Entire staff was very nice and professional.
I would just like to say that Dr Kiritsis is just simply the best! He has done surgery on both of my rotator cuffs in my shoulders, and the outcome has been excellent! A lady told me that Dr Kiritsis saved her sons knee, and I would not regret having him for my orthopedic needs! She was absolutely right! I also trust Dr Kiritsis wholeheartedly! After an unsuccessful cortisone shot and the looming prospect of surgery for months long shoulder pain, I saw Dr. Kiritsis for a second opinion. He took an x-ray and reviewed by my prior MRI which resulted in a different conclusion. Surgery is still in my future, but not eminent. He gave me another cortisone shot in a different area of my shoulder. So far, so good. His knowledge and bedside manner made me feel comfortable in his diagnosis. He also explained my issue in terms I could understand.
Xrays and follow up from previous partial knee replacements very personal gave valuable information and answered my questions good service
He repaired my shoulder and did a great job on it thanks
Excellent Is doctors and nurses!!
Dr. K did a great job. God Bless!!!!!
When you go to visit a very intelligent, kind, personable and good listener who is engaged with his patient experience cannot help it be very rewarding. I absolutely give Dr. Kiritsis a five star rating.

I have seen Dr. Ķiŕitsis for several years. He did several surgeries on me rotator cuff repair both shoulders . He's very caring and takes the best care of you listening to what you say.
Shoulder replacement 8/2021 Referred by another Orthopedist. I wanted an expert in the field for joint replacement surgery and was referred to Dr K
Very professional yet personal. Really enjoyed this appointment . Everyone knew what to do in and put quickly.
I picked Dr. Kiritsis because of all good reviews, as well as because he is the main surgeon for Richmond Spiders. My visits with him were great, he made me sit next to him and he explained everything step by step while looking at my MRI images. He was honest and conservative and wanted to try first other options before having to open me up and fox things surgically. I appreciated that a lot. Highly recommend him. Dr. Kiritsis is a great surgeon. He performed an ACL reconstruction and was upfront and communicative regarding the procedure and post operative instructions. At 12 weeks post-op, I've had a roller coaster recovery. He's always been there to assure me that I'm progressing well and to stay positive. If you like honesty, someone that will tell you the facts and not coddle you, Dr. Kiritsis is the one for you. He genuinely cares about my progress, listens and addresses my fears and concerns, answers all my questions and suggests alternative treatments. His staff is the best in the business, they always remember me when I come in and treat me with respect. I highly recommend Dr. Kiritsis!
Dr. Kiritsis has great bedside manner and takes the time to explain things in a way that you can understand. He makes you very comfortable. He is an excellent surgeon who performed a procedure on my left knee a few years back. His staff is also very friendly.

I have been going to Ortho VA for about 15 years. Dr Kiritsis has replaced two knees and two shoulders in my arthritic body. During this time I have depended on him for his knowledge, skill and kindness. He is an amazing man who has made it possible for me to function and be pain free. Cannot thank him enough!
Dr. Kiritsis graciously scheduled me asap to repair my broken collarbone. Both the St. Francis office and the St. Mary's office and surgical groups provided great support and care before, during, and after the surgery. Thankful for them all.
Dr. Kiritsis was very personal and professional with me. Answered all my questions. He is awesome.
Greatest doctor, truly cares about his patients. Beyond that he is also a terrific person. His staff people and physician assistants follow with the same degree of care. They treat us like family.
I injured my shoulder skiing and waited 4 months to see a doctor when it didn't get better. Dr. Kiristis did some movement tests, and immediately diagnosed it as a torn rotator cuff tear, and ordered an MRI to confirm. A tendon torn away from the bone does not repair itself, so I elected to have surgery. I had an excellent surgical experience, and Dr. Kiristis fixed all impingement and tears in the shoulder. 7 weeks in and the shoulder feels fantastic. I'm working on flexibility and strength, but will completely recover and will be able to resume all of the sports that I enjoy in about 6 months. Dr. Kiritsis made me feel like a valued patient. I’m just your normal guy with shoulder issues and I felt that he treated me like one of his athletes. I never felt rushed. He took the time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!!
I had a massive rotator cuff tear on my right shoulder. After seeing a doctor who had an MRI done, I was sent to Dr. Kiritsis. I was impressed with how he went into such detail when explaining things... how things should be and how they actually were. I am now 6 months after surgery and very happy with his work! Although extremely busy Dr. Kiritsis made time to examine my shoulder which I had damaged about a month before. He quickly determined the best course of action and calmed my fears of needing surgery.
I was treated with kindness, friendly and knowledgeable staff of Ortho Virginia. Dr. Kiritsis was straight forward about my injuries and what needed to be done. I have no doubt that I am in good hands with him and his staff! Thank you for the urgent care. ❤????????

Very good experience here. Dr.Kiritsis was very helpful and informative with me on all options to help my shoulder and get me back to living an active lifestyle.
Wonderful staff they made our initial visit very comforting and reassuring through this awful time of my wife shattering her knee so much confidence in the doctor looking forward to him performing surgery and get my wife back on her feet again thank you so much
I found Dr. Kiritsis and his staff to be very attentive and prompt. I am two weeks past arthroscopic meniscus knee surgery and seem to be moving forward as expected. Physical therapy begins tomorrow and I am looking forward to a full recovery.
I saw Dr. Kiritsis for a torn bicep. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I went the surgical route and would do it again tomorrow. First surgical experience without any post-op pain. Function is slowing returning, as expected, after one month. First class surgeon! And his team is top notch as well. If I should ever need any surgical needs in which Dr. Kiritsis specializes (arm, shoulder, etc) I will not hesitate to contact him again. Highly recommend!!!
I have read a few of the negative comments on this doctor and have no trouble believing anything they had to say about this knucklehead. I went to him about a frozen shoulder and he diagnosed me and told me that it would heal itself in about a year to 18 months. Then he had me make a follow-up appointment in 4 weeks. Not sure why he wanted to see me in 4 weeks for a diagnosis that isn't expected to get better for at least a year ($$$), but I kept the appointment. I showed up early for the appointment as was asked of me on the reminder text, however, I sat and sat, waiting to be called back to see the knucklehead. Finally, about 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I was called back to the examination room. After another 10 minutes or so, he came into the room, greeted me, and then said that the nurse told him that I was upset about something. I proceeded to tell him that I had not gotten up at 0730 just to come sit in his waiting room and that I should send him a bill for MY time. He proceeded to ask me what I suggested he do and I said that he shouldn't be scheduling so many patients if he can't get to them in a timely manner. Here's where it became apparent that this guy got into medicine strictly for the money. He began to tell me that his salary had gone down by 10% and, he just could not afford to sit in his office and wait for the next patient. Mind you, he had told me just before he said this that they know that the patients' time is valuable, but I guess just not as valuable as his and he wasn't about to accommodate anyone or anything if it means that his salary will suffer. I'm sure that, even if his salary went down 10%, he still makes plenty of money, more than most of us. Anyway, I won't be going back to see this clown again and I don't recommend anyone else go to him, unless you just like seeing a doctor so you can help swell his bank account. One of the rudest doctors I have ever met. I have been dealing with arthritis for nearly two decades. He never asked about my quality of life over that time. Took x-rays but told me that I had to suffer until I could no longer stand without sweating in pain in order to get knee replacement surgery. Also minimized my pain and suffering and talked bad about pain management doctors (one who had helped me foryears until the pain got too bad.). Also said within earshot: " I want to shoot myself in the head for so many reasons" after leaving my room. No idea why but seemed directed at me and taking to me. Do not recommend at all. The response below from them is amusing. I left messages with their office to follow up about his treatment and speak to an office manager as well as have my records sent to my regular doctor, but they never responded. So yeah.. nice try, Ortho Virginia. If you actually cared, you would have called or emailed me back. I attempted to reach out to you prior to leaving this review...and this is why I left the review ultimately because you all ignored my messages. One of the rudest doctors I have ever met. Torn pec repair. He is amazing at his job. Honest and straightforward guidance. Couldn't be happier.
Visited with him for my son's displaced humerus in a go cart accident. We love his energy and we feel comfortable with him.
Could not had a better doctor that is kind understanding and knows exactly what he's doing. My health is important to me and I went to the right person did you get my health back.
I am extremely grateful to Dr. Kiritsis and his team for ensuring that I had the support necessary for my successful shoulder replacement surgery and subsequent therapies. I could not have had a more positive experience.
Staff is fabulous. They really make every effort to make you comfortable and educated. Dr. Kiritsis is a pleasure to work with, straightforward and very easy to understand. This has been an extraordinarily good experience. Very thankful for that.
Dr. Paul Kiritsis is an outstanding surgeon! He took a two-years long U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) process and corrected within three weeks! I had a major tear in my left shoulder’s rotator cuff. Also bone spurs that were creating excruciating pain with each arm movement. From my initial office visit to surgery day was three weeks instead of the ongoing grinding pace the VA. I had been in constant painful more than two years until my surgical recovery began. Paul listened to me. He was compassionate with respect my situation and respected me as a patient who was in pain... he understood what I was dealing with. He was straight forward and honest. He wasted no time in scheduling my surgery after examination. Following my initial office visit, Dr. Kiritsis wisely sent me for a MRI. When we met to discuss the results, he was very open and clear with the findings. As well as discussing my condition, Dr. Kiritsis used an illustration to mark the areas of injury which was very helpful in understanding the severity of the issues with my shoulder. I felt Dr. Kiritsis wanted to make sure I had all the information as he then outlined my three options and discussed the pros and cons of each. Dr. Kiritsis was frank and didn’t gloss over the situation. When I decided which course of treatment I felt was best for me, Dr. Kiritsis supported my decision and surgery was then scheduled. Despite his no doubt busy schedule, I believe Dr. Kiritsis took his time with me to make sure I understood everything before I reached my decision. I am confident that Dr. Kiritsis will do his best to correct what he can and I was impressed that he didn’t make any promises and was realistic in the potential results.
