My daughter has been Dr. Melmeds patient for 4 years. He refuses to see her now that she attempted to commit suicide. She is no longer welcome to seek treatment at his clinic with any of his psychiatry staff either because she is suicidal. Worst experience ever! Scheduled an appointment in January 2018, the first available is June 2018. Wait 6 months for an appointment, all while son is struggling in school, only to find out the wrong appointment type was booked. When I booked the appointment I told them my son's school recommended he have a full evaluation. I let them know that one of my son's teachers had her own son evaluated there and it was helpful and thought it would be helpful for my son. I explained he was struggling

My autistic teenage daughter was a patient here for 4 years till she attempted suicide. They would no longer see her after she tried to kill herself. I would never take another child to this Clinic nor would I recommend him or any other staff at the clinic for any other children.

This review is NOT about Dr. Melmed specifically but his practice. In all my years, they deliver the WORST customer service experience ever. The reviews are true - it is IMPOSSIBLE to ever get a hold of anyone live and they are terrible about calling you back. This is not how you treat a family when children are on medication. They have no medical assistants or nurses which makes it very difficult to ever get a timely response. This is the reason we left their practice. Find someone else.
