Best GI doctor I have had!

Dr. Ritesh Shah, MD was kind and very informative his staff were Amazing! I definitely made the right choice.

Everyone was so nice, made it very easy experience. Dr Shah very nice and approachable

Very professional staff. Experience was excellent and I felt very comfortable . The one thing that stood out was how everyone donned a mask. I have visited a few hospitals where everyone didn't wear a mask and if those simple guidelines can't be followed I just imagine what other guidelines or rules there not following. Dr. Shah is an excellent doctor. Very knowledgeable in his field and he always takes time to answer questions and is very patient and personable.

Dr Shah and staff were all friendly Professional and attentive during my endoscopy Dr. Shah was very knowledgeable and informative on what was going to occur from the moment I got there to the time I left. Great staff!

Great experience having a procedure with Dr. Shah. Great bedside manor, easy to talk too and listens to your concerns. Their Woodstock location was very clean, well managed, and easy in and out. Happy to find Dr. Shah and his team.

Dr Shah has a wonderful bedside manner! We love the staff. The scheduling and procedure instructions were made clear and easy to understand.

My visits with Dr Shah are exceptional and he has a great bedside manner to listen to my concerns and develop the right plan of action. As a fellow healthcare provider, I have full confidence in his abilities to help my GI situations!

I would not recommend this practice for colonoscopy screenings. I had a procedure scheduled and phoned the office numerous times to ask them to phone in the prep prescription. No one answers the phone or returns phone calls. When I finally reached his surgery scheduler, Victoria, she became defensive and told me that she did not have any calls from me. I told her I had been calling the number on the procedure information sheet. It seems this practice has a history of not returning calls. I cancelled the procedure because I could not feel comfortable with a practice that doesn't answer the phone or return messages.

Considering the procedure, Dr Shah and the staff made the experience go quite smooth. Courteous, knowledgeable and some what relaxing. Thank you!

Dr. Shah and staff were highly professional yet amazingly compassionate and always interested in my being comfortable throughout my entire medical procedure. Could not have had a better experience.

Having had three visits with Dr. Shah, including colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures, I can report that he and his team are excellent care providers. Their medical knowledge and their very capable patient interaction skills place Dr. Shah and staff at the highest level.

Short wait but good visit, discussed and recap of a procedure. Staff set up follow on visit. Efficient and professional.

Really nice staff and doctor. They where a great team effort and I had a wonderful experience.

My visit with Dr. Shah went extremely well. He took the time to explain my condition, answer my questions with patience, explain prognosis and put me at ease. I have confidence in his medical abilities and appreciate his care and concern for my health.

Scheduled a Colonoscopy with Dr. Shah. I received detailed instructions for preparation and when I arrived for the appointment I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member. The nurse and anesthesia nurse were both very friendly and competent. Dr. Shah greeted me before the procedure and gave me results afterwards along with calling my wife to tell her it was finished. Dr. Shah as well as his staff were incredibly kind and compassionate and put me at ease immediately. I suffer from anxiety about anything medical so it’s a pretty big deal when I feel at ease at all. Everyone let me know exactly what they were going to do step by step and it was probably the most relaxing procedure I’ve ever had. There was a white board with the names of everyone who was looking after me. The prep person the anesthesiologist and the post op person. They each introduced themselves when they came in. The hospital is very good. Clean and spacious but my experience with this doctor was less than average and his assistant was initially pleasant to deal with but afterwards, reaching them was an issue, after I went in for a cat scan. When I did finally get to talk to her, she used a bossy and rude tone with me. She seemed to not like the fact that I was not going to make an appointment with them that very moment. I told her that I needed to call back, once I knew my schedule but she went on to push the appointment. I am an adult and don't tolerate anyone talking to me in a way that is rude, bossy or passive aggressive. I will make the appointment when I am good and ready! I am not a damn teenager. I am a patient person but this doesn't fly especially when this is a medically trained professional that should know better. The doctor himself was blah! He asked questions and when I answered them he would sometimes talk over me without letting me finish my sentence- annoying and rude! He asked about my medications and I told him that I use natural herbs etc... but that I am open to medication, if needed. I can tell by his facial expression and tone of voice that he was rudely judging me for using natural remedies instead of being open minded or at least neutral. I don't pretend to know more than a doctor but I know for sure I know a lot of things they don't so being judgmental without knowing all the facts and showing it during a consultation that was ridiculously priced is not acceptable to me. I don't recommend this doctor or dealing with that assistant he has... I thought Dr. Shah was great. He helped me address a long standing issue that I had, helping me improve my quality of life.

The office manager at this office is most likely the rudest person I have ever encountered. I cancelled my appt with Dr. Shah based on the fact that the office manager, Candy, treated me with the most disrespect and like I am non-human. Do not waste your time with this office. I have been a patient of Dr. Shah for over 2 years. He is always very patient, kind and knowledgeable and I never feel rushed during my office visits. He answers all of my questions patiently and thoroughly and truly calms any concerns I may have with my treatments and testing. He follows through with repeat testing when necessary and I highly recommend Dr.Shah.

Sorry Mark (Next post ) I have been a patient of Dr. Shah for about ten years now. He is actually the opposite of your experience. He is very professional, courteous and friendly. He is an exceptional physician, very skilled and dedicated to his patients. I would not leave his practice for any other physician. On several occasions he has gone beyond to accommodate me. Dr. Shah listens well and takes the time to answer any questions. He also has a great bed-side manner and puts his patients at ease prior to procedures. I highly recommend his services and care.

AVOID!!! Rude, arrogant, obnoxious doctor. Spent two minutes with me, during which he scoffed at every question I had and told me I was downright stupid for doubting his holiness. This idiot is a pathetic excuse of a physician. I was charged over a THOUSAND bucks for "blood tests", and he got my diagnosis wrong in the end. Went to a different doctor, and he got the correct diagnosis without doing a single test. Two weeks later and I was cured. Ritesh is a joke. Stay away. AVOID!!! Rude, arrogant, obnoxious doctor.
