Dr. Robert J Bass

I've been a patient of Dr. Bass for over 12 years and I can't say enough great things about him and the office (this is the friendlist doctors office on earth). I've suffered with heavy periods and amemia for a long time but about 2 years ago it got worst (I assume with age). I had to start iron infusions every few weeks. It was very frustrating wearing extra clothing and padding my sheets when I had my cycle. So I went to see Dr.Bass and told him what was happening. I thought my only option was hysterectomy, which I did not want to do. I have 5 children and already had a tubal ligation but couldn't even think about having a hysterectomy (i'm a nurse btw) He and I sat in his office like we do after every exam to discuss the options ( and you can talk without him rushing you along). We decided on a non invasive office procedure (yay) I was so happy but scared at the same time. We schedule the appointment and got the the pre procedure testing done. I was given medication to take the morning of the appointment and Emily (Dr.Bass amazing assistant that's been there forever) was there with her arms open wide to help me through all this. The procedure took less that 5 mins. And yes there's some discomfort but there's a tranquil room thats decorated so pretty and Dr. Bass and Emily provided more than enough encouragement and tenderness durning it that it made everything so okay. I just want to say that this procedure changed my life. And I'm so appreciative to him for everything. Dr Robert Bass is an amazing Doctor. I came to him when I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and I chose him and his office due to the exceptional ratings he had. I felt comfort finding out he’s delivered over 35,000 babies. It made me feel like I was in good hands. He’s caring & assuring, every visit he made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns. He always updated me on what was to come next. His nurse Emily is the sweetest, most happy and upbeat person at every visit. My delivery went great, he talked to me during my c section and let me know everything was going great and when he was almost finished. Dr. Bass is an exceptional doctor! I have been his patient since I was 15 and most recently he delivered my first son- 20 years later. Dr. Bass was so attentive during the labor process - I felt extremely cared for. I trust I had such a successful outcome largely due to his care and knowledge. From day one of going to this office the staff was amazing and nice and so welcoming they made me feel greatly appreciated. My first visit was awesome I saw Dr.Colas-Lacombe and she is amazing, and also I got to meet the awesome Dr. Bass, he is also a great doctor. Both Dr. Colas and Dr.Bass did an amazing job finding the source of what was going on with my body and was able to resolve the issue. Dr. Bass did an awesome job with my surgery and explained everything to me. Dr. Bass and his staff are amazing. Dr. Bass just delivered my second baby (38 weeks) , first one 3 years ago (39 weeks). Making appointments and getting in and out of the office quickly was easy and efficient. This time around I am on the older scale and he monitored the pregnancy closely and made sure I all the proper test to have a healthy baby and make it as long as I could. He delivered both of my babies and I did not have to deal with another on call doctor. Both deliveries went smooth and I was up and back to my normal self quickly. If I could leave 0 stars I would because that is exactly what this practice deserves. Me and my husband started trying to conceive at the end of May and found out we were expecting on Father's day I had already seen Dr. Bass once before to go over our plans it was a short consultation very rushed more than likely because they are always running late with appointments. My next appointment was scheduled for this past Monday June 29th but I had called Thursday June 25th because I felt as if something was off they said everything was fine and they would see me Monday not a care in the world as to how I was feeling. When i woke up Monday morning I noticed I had some spotting and became concerned I called the office and explained what was going on to see if they would get me in earlier than my 11:30 AM appointment they said no that it was normal again I was not comfortable with their decision. So I waited till my appointment time @ 11:30AM I was not seen till 12:20PM they had told me I would be getting an ultrasound over the phone to make sure everything was okay once they got me in the room they said they would not because I was only 5 weeks again i cried and explained i was really worried they did not give a damn they brushed me off and sent me to get some lab work done. Yesterday morning I woke up and my bleeding was worse I called to see if they could get me in they transferred me to his assistant Emily's VM I left a message around noon 2:00 o'clock rolls around still no call back I called again I explained i needed to speak to someone they finally get her on the phone after holding for 20 Min and I told er my bleeding had worsen she did not want to bring me in she said to wait till next Wednesday July 8th which was when my next was appointment was scheduled for. I told her I was not going to wait she put me on hold for another 20 min and never came back on line. At this point i drove myself to the ER where they took me in did an ultrasound and blood work and confirmed I was having a miscarriage. And I want to make sure everyone understands I know there was nothing that could have been done to save our baby but it would have been nice to feel like the doctor i had chose to help with this journey actually cared which they don't. Things were great at first but after the first lost it needing directions it just seem like i was more of a bother. I would call and ask questions and it just seems like there is no time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Robert Bass for 10+ years. If this were 6 years ago I would have told you he was the greatest, even two years ago I might have said that. Not only did he misdiagnose me for years but he made me feel like a science experiment with different birth controls, chemo-therapy drugs and false information. When I expressed my concerns to him earlier this year, he was cold and dismissive. He used to actually care for his patients. Either he can't keep up with the demand and be attentive or he simply does not care for the well-being of his patients. Emily is fantastic and that is the only reason I am giving two starts because their billing department never returns or answers your calls, they just keep sending you the bill. The front desk girls can be rude. What happened to your office? I have left this doctor after years. I hope you have a better experience than I did. The doctor is great, but has a tough schedule and is always running behind, by up to or more than an hour at times.

I love Dr Bass he is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable! The only reason I can’t give it a 5 star is because usually There’s a long wait to see him. But Dr Bass is five stars for sure!

My first visit but I already feel at home and I will be well taken care of here. Very hands on and informative. Also a great listener which is what you want in a doctor so that all procedures and medications will be prescribed based on what you actually need and not what they want to push on you. Dr. Bass is an excellent doctor and provided outstanding care to me. I first consulted with Dr. Bass on an elective surgery to remove fibroids and he advices against invasive surgery as it was not necessary, which I found to be very honest and in my best interest. Later, Dr. Bass took over as my OBGYN during my first pregnancy, which was unsuccessful. Dr. Bass was very kind and informative on what happened and encouraging that it would not affect future pregnancies. I am happy to report that Dr. Bass just delivered my first child, a healthy baby boy, beginning of August 2020 and he was outstanding throughout my care, and took the time to explain everything to expect and was flexible with all Covid related changes that needed to be made. I have been going to this practice for about 7 years. I absolutely love Dr Bass and Emily. The office is great and has impreved a lot in the last 2 years.

I would highly recommend Dr. Bass he is knowledgeable and always has a great sense of humor. He had to perform an emergency C-section for me because I ended up getting severe preeclampsia towards the end of the my pregnancy and the surgery was a success. As always my doctor the staff were wonderful and professional. I was late because I had to drive 1 1/2 hrs to my appointment and was delayed by traffic and their were very understanding and saw me anyway, most doctors office would’ve rescheduled me. I really appreciate it.

Even though I was nervous about seeing a different gynecologist after years of only seeing Dr.Sterghos Jr. Dr. Bass made me feel comfortable and his main objective just as Dr.Sterghos Jr is the well-being of his patients. My baby was born premature at 29 weeks, but now she is 8 years old healthy, very smart girl and full of energy. I really appreciate all his effort to keep me and my child in good health.... Best OBGYN hands down! Explained everything needed for my procedure, has helped me along the way for any questions and my recovery couldn’t have gone better. Two weeks after surgery I was back to normal after removal of fibroids. Scar very minimal and not noticeable at all! Thank you for everything Dr Bass!

In between all my questions that Emilie was so kind to answer all along my pregnancy and all my concerns that Dr Bass was quick to address and reassure me.
