Does not acknowledge where the pain is, investigates to his liking not the patients. Would my injury have healed faster? No probably not but I have concerns about possible nerve damage and it was dismissed. I understand healing takes time but if I’m hurt, I want all possibilities eliminated. It feels like speaking to a know it all. Very dismissive

Dr Thompson, understood my concerns was very thorough with explaining the process I couldn't have asked for a better visit or a doctor. I'm grateful to him.

Very knowledgeable. Kind and friendly. He toke time to explain several options. And giving me the option to move forward when I feel necessary according to my own pain.

Dr. Thompson was absolutely amazing with my son regarding his ankle injury. He took the time to listen to every question and concern. I highly recommend him!

He knew what the problem was immediately and now has me on the road to recovery with inserts, proper exercises and physical therapy. I wish I'd seen him years ago. The pain has been terrible. He listens and wants to help. Very pleased.

Dr Thompson performed a neurectomy between 3rd & 4th toe for Morton's neuroma. I'm in worse shape now than I was prior to surgery. When he asked me "what are we doing today?" on the morning of my surgery, I told him neurectomy between 2nd & 3rd toe. He said, "No, the higher percentage of MN is between 3rd & 4th toe." My pain has ALWAYS been at my 2nd & 3rd toe. However, because I trusted him (my mistake), I allowed him to do what he felt was best. After 2 post op visits of waiting 1.5 hrs to be seen and being brushed off about my continuing pain, I decided to seek treatment elsewhere. I now realize that I was a quick, easy surgery that paid him well and he could care less that I'm still with chronic pain and now with permanent damage from a surgery. I wish I had never trusted him.

The drs at TOA are the top Drs of orthopedics in our area. They are professional and always willing to find an answer to my problems. I would refer them to everyone.

Once you precheck online, everything goes smoothly. I didn't have to wait to see Dr Thompson. He's always so upbeat and kind. He also has a great sense of humor. Very professional and very knowledgeable. So very happy with him.

Dr Thompson is very knowledgeable and very nice also. He is very thorough. His personality is great and caring also which is important to me as his patient.

This was my first time seeing Dr Thompson. He was incredibly nice. He gave me so much information about my fracture and reassured me that even though it was small, the pain I felt was normal and I wasn’t just being over dramatic. I absolutely will see him again if the need arises and will recommend him to all my friends and family.

Dr. Thompson is one of the best doctors that I have met recently. Not only is he courteous he’s very skillful explains everything in detail and he’s not anxious to do surgery unless it’s something that’s needed. I can thank him, now I can walk on my rt. foot without pain, where as before I had to walk on the side of my foot Post op progressing nicely I have him to fight for that

I was referred to TOA by an ER doctor after falling down some stairs leaving work. The ER couldn’t really give me any answers except for a vague “there are some abnormalities on your X-Ray” Dr. Thompson was professional, nice, listened to what I had to say, and within 15 minutes of seeing me diagnosed me with a Calcaneus Fracture. He took his time explaining to me what that meant, showed me on the X-ray where the break was, and what to expect over the next couple weeks. I slipped on the stairs and hurt my foot. He had several rays taken, and after he read them, fitted me with an ankle brace a d showed me how to use it. I didn’t feel rushed in or out.

Dr. Thompson is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. I had a fracture in a weird place in my foot be he found it and treated the injury. Now I am pain free and living life again. I would definitely recommend seeing him.

Able to get a quick appointment, thorough explanation on my options for a torn Achilles, good bedside manners.

Went to urgent care and saw a PA. Super sweet lady but she didn’t do an exam on my hurt foot. She did ask me to show her where my pain was coming from so she could check that part of the X-ray. She read the X-rays herself not a Dr or a radiologist. Sent me home with. $400 boot. I called the manager later and told her the PA was sweet and I didn’t want her in trouble but could a Dr possibly read my X-rays as a second opinion. Manager was kind and professional. She immediately had Dr Thompson read them the next morning. The PA was under Dr Thompson. She ordered an MRI for me since nothing showed in the X-ray. After getting a high prices quote, I decided I couldn’t afford an MRI right now. I got an appointment with Dr Thompson for a repeat X-ray and a physical exam of my foot. I waited two hours to see him. Very unusual for TOA. He walked in the room, did not introduce himself, and immediately had an attitude. He said my X-rays were fine and I shouldn’t wear the boot. It is “overkill”. He said let nature take its course and wear a soft shoe. He said maybe a tendon or nerve issue but he was only my guy if it was a bone issue. I told him my foot swells up when I walk without the boot. He said, “doesn’t look swollen to me.” Very dismissive of my pain. Very under minding and cold. Terrible bedside manner. He clearly was angry I had called TOA’s sight manager. I left in tears and still in pain. I trusted TOA and left feeing like the dr thought I was lying about my injury and my pain. That’s a very uncomfortable feeling. I have no answers and im still hurting. I also will have a large bill to pay and still have to find a dr to take my pain seriously. Im a mom of 6. I need to be able to walk. I do not ever put myself first. I don’t got to the dr Bc I have zero time. I made an effort Bc im hurting so bad, and I was treated poorly and im no better for it. Dr. Thompson has such great bedside manner and always spent the time with me to answer all of my questions. He never seemed in a rush. He gave me options and recommendations but left final decisions up to me. He spoke in terms that I could understand and was super friendly. From my first visit through my post op visit, it was a great experience.

Dr. Thompson and all the staff at TOA have been very friendly and professional. There have made a difficult situation as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend Dr. Thompson and TOA to anyone needing Orthopedic care.

Listened and explained what was going on. I’m on the road to recovery, I’m very great full.

Dr. Thompson was so nice and personable and told me what I should be doing for my hurt ankle and that it is going to take a while to heal and we even talked about his Pella windows since I work there. I would definitely recommend people getting an appointment with him because he knows his stuff.

Dr. Thompson is terrific! He is very knowledgeable and takes the time needed to explain the issues and allows time for patient questions. He even gave me a picture of the x-rays to help me understand my issue.

Dr. Thompson took time to explain the issues with my foot and didn’t jump to a surgical option as the best option. He is a good communicator and didn’t make me feel rushed when I asked questions.

He did a great job and found one of my issues with a knot under my second toe, have to wear a toe I guess stabilized. And as for my ankle he has ordered some test to check out my issue. He knows it’s not mechanical. He seems very thorough and very polite. Only my first visit but so far it was a good one.

I was impressed with him. He was knowledgeable, listened to me and answered my questions. I like the conservative approach instead of rushing to surgery!!! I believe in Dr. Thompson!!!

I had never met Dr Johnson but he made me feel at ease. He listened and explained all options.

I have visited Dr. Thompson 3 times now since 2014. Each time he has helped my different foot problems and I'm sure this one will heal also. Since I dance, my feet get a lot of abuse and I don't wait to get help. I will do PT again and slow back on my dancing for 6 weeks and see if that works. If not, I trust there will be other options than surgery we can try. I trust his direction. At 76 I don't plan to stop dancing and I do plan to continue walking until God takes me home. God only gave us one pair of feet and it is our responsibility to take care of them.

Dr. Thompson explained what the problem probably was and suggested an MRI to find out exactly what the problem was so he could treat my problem with the exact treatment. He took his time explaining things to me and did not rush. He answered all of my questions.

From my first meeting with him through my surgery he was outstanding. Carefully and thoroughly explained all options for my broken foot. Was able to get my surgery done the very next day. His caring and personable nature carried over to my outpatient surgical procedure. He listened to what I wanted. That is an important physician trait for me. Just a phenomenal person and physician.

One of the best doctors. He honestly made my ankle better and now I’m back at playing with my school and club soccer team.

Dr. Thompson was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough during our interactions in preparation for my recent operation as well as post-op care. He clearly laid out all of my options and helped me make an educated decision. I even had a bit of an “incident” at a recent appointment where I got queasy and fainted ????‍♂️, but thankfully Dr. Thompson was right there and literally caught me to prevent further injury. This is one of the most efficient operating physicians office I have ever been to. Staff members have a wealth of knowledge are very friendly and very informative from start to finish. Dr. Thompson is very nice and well educated. Spent time explaining options and a starting point, even looked at my face when he talk to me . Seems most the time is doctors have their back to you typing on a computer or they never look you in the eyes. And to go even further he spoke to me about some medication‘s that I am on and I tend to forget to take daily or sometimes I was afraid to take them every day like I was supposed to because of bad headaches and the medication taken for those a lot. I was scared that my blood would thin even more or to much not knowing since I’m not on a thinner that I have to have my Protime weekly anymore so it’s kind of scary. he didn’t have to talk to me about this or even bring it up but I’m sure glad I did because it eased my mind and now I know The design of this medication and it’s OK today certain headache medicine. This is my second visit to TOA seeing different Physicians each time for different areas. I’ll never change orthopedics. I have several things going on and I know this is where I need to be.
